It had been nine days since I came back, but it felt like nine months, considering how I was working and fighting nearly all the time, working mostly.
Fighting had slowed down for me, especially after I had killed Kraf; the Grimm had changed the strategy, and now, most of the battle was being fought in the groups. Where there would be at least two Grimms from the old coven, the powerful ones, that even I needed to be extremely careful of.
Still, I am fighting and working, and soon, I will need to kill a Grand Lord again, the bloodline; it has become a necessity with the way I am spending resources on the Grand Lords.
It is not only Matron Mavis using my methods, but also other Grand Lords; Patriarch Bradford, Lady Angela, and Elder Lord, all of them had gone through the first round, and Grandmaster Salvador and other alchemists had already begun the preparation for the second round.
They continuedly to need to go through rounds of treatments to make big improvements.
My methods are working better than any of them had imagined; it had thoroughly impressed them. It might sound like overconfidence, but I never doubted them not working.
I had all the data and resources and only needed to create suitable methods for them; it also helped; there is also untapped potential in their bodies through the slow growth over the centuries, which my methods were able to bring out.
The methods worked, but they brought their own problems; my huge catch of resources, which I had accumulated after killing several of the Grimm Grand Lord, dwindling fast; more than half of it had gone, and the rest would also disappear in a week if I did not kill any Grimm Grand Lord with the bloodline.
I really hope I do because if I do not, then I might need to use the resources that I had kept for myself; I really don’t want to touch them.
They are my breakthrough resources, and I need them in hand; even though it might take years before I can use them, but still I like to have them on my hands as things could change at any time and who knows, I might be able to make a breakthrough, much sooner than I had imagined.
I shook my head at that and focused on the book in front of me.
I had once again stuck in a curse; I picked the book on inheritance, helping clone two, who had been working on the inheritance, or rather studying the books, that we had brought out from them. Some of them are really hard to understand, and even with its analytical mind, my clone needed hours or even days to understand.
While reading, I sometimes would look at the screens, especially at one screen where one of the biggest battles being fought; seven of our Grand Lords were fighting against twelve Grimm Grand Lords.
It is a destructive battle, which might seem chaotic with Grand Lords are moving around, but it is highly disciplined, where both parties work together in teamwork to kill each other.
I had been a part of such a battle two days ago, and it was horrifying, as unlike the Grimms trying to kill every human, all the Grimms were focused on killing me, with their attacks powerful enough to vaporize me an instant;
I have nearly died a couple of times at the hands of that bastard Foxwomen; it was hell-bent on killing me, and if it nor Lady Angela protecting me, I wouldn’t have been able to return to the pyramid safely.
“It was really quite a battle,” I muttered as I focused hard on the problem I was facing.
Nothing seems to be easy these days, and even understanding things inside these books have become difficult. There used to be a time when nothing seemed to be stump me, but that time feels like ages.

It is nothing surprising that the problems are stumping me, as these books are not common, but the thing that will help me create an inheritance that would rival an inheritance of Primary II and let me understand Primary III, which I couldn’t make any sense of, which is extremely frustrating.
It is not like I could ask for anyone’s help; even Lady Angela won’t be able to help me, while she is a Grandmaster of runes with vast knowledge and hundreds of years of experience, her expertise in a different stream of runology.
The only person that could help me was my predecessor, but she had left the world thousands of years ago.
I think there is one more person who could help me, the librarian of Hermes Library and the collection of the library, but I don’t have time to go there; I am needed here and need to join the battle at any second; my unavailability could have huge consequences, as big as losing the war.
Not to mention, I only have one chance to solve it, and I do not have complete confidence. I had that a few days ago, but the more I think about it, the more I am not ready; it may be my nerves talking or just the truth.
Still, the important thing is I could not go to Hermes Library; it would have been one thing if it had the thing which could let us win the war, but it did not.
If we had a few years, it might be with the knowledge it contains, but not in a few months, in which the war will end.
Two hours and seventeen minutes passed outside when the huge battle above the thing ended; nobody was dead, to the anger of both races.
They just retreated to rest and heal their wounds and will come back to fight a battle.
As I looked at the battle of the Grand Lords, I felt like it was a battle of might as well as endurance. The Grand Lord is barely getting any rest, especially the humans; we have fewer numbers than bastard Grimms, which they take full advantage of by attacking us constantly.
If they continue with this strategy, sooner or later, it will bear fruit, and the Grimms know that.

“Lord Zaar, please come to the infirmary,” said Lord Whitmore as his projection appeared in front of me. “Ok,” I said as I opened my eyes, and a formation appeared beneath my feet, and I disappeared a moment later.
As I appeared a moment later, the information flowed into my mind with seeds, and immediately; I turned into Patriarch Bradford, who seemed fine, but if one looks closely, one will see his skin a lot drier than before.
It was just a faint glimpse of the dangerous storm he was fighting inside him.
“It seemed like you have received quite an attack,” I said as the strings released from my hand; the injury was bad, but now bad enough for me to summon the coffin; the string enough will do the job.
“It’s that bastard Rraln; it had attacked me with a powerful attack with a powerful attack, it had never used before,” replied patriarch, and immediately, the recording of the battle in my core rewind till it found the powerful attack from Rock Chimpman, that hit patriarch.
“It was a powerful attack indeed,” I affirmed a second later, an attack that would have blasted me to the pieces.
