All the particles burned away, and the white fire was retreating back to the core, but despite that, I did not feel great.
I could not even twitch, much less move; saying I was injured would be an understatement and wrong.
Something happened to me that is far deeper than simply being injured, but it is not the time to worry about the thing; I need to leave here as soon as possible.
The help is unlikely; I could feel many Grand Lords fighting; the sounds and vibration I am feeling from the ground are more than enough to tell me there will not be a rescue.
The Grimm will not let it; they will instead try to finish the job that the old snake had failed.
I watched the flame disappear into my core, more than half of it had already disappeared inside, and the rest would be soon.
Three seconds later, all the flames had vanished inside my core, and immediately, a ping, a crystal with blue lines, came out of my core and floated up above me.
Buzz!
As it appeared above me, it lit as it buzzed, and immediately energy came out of it and surrounded me the moment it; the floating crystal disappeared, and in its place was a formation toward which the cocoon started floating.

Soon, the cocoon holding me passed through the formation and disappeared, and one and a half seconds later, I appeared in a pyramid.
This is my emergency measure; as long as my core is working, I can get away from any place. Creating the crystal is an extremely expensive process, not to mention the amount of rule-bending power requires.
Still, it is worth it; my life is more important than any resources, and I will sacrifice without hesitation if it means they could save my life.
That is what they are for.
Hun!
A surprising thing happened as I appeared in the Pyramid; my place suddenly shifted, and I found myself in a completely different place. It is the place I have aware of it, but I did not expect I would find myself in it.
Especially after gaining such power, but it is wise after what had just happened.
…
“Zaar escaped!” said Shael as her projection appeared in the seat; she was still fighting, but the human bastard’s escape was too important that the emergency meeting had been called.
“I can’t believe it had survived; I thought it would have died with the double of old snake and the beam,” said Nras; all of them had been briefed about what happened, and no one had a hint of grief in their eyes for the old snake.
Nearly everybody among the old Grand Lords has some grudges against it, but there is nothing they can do as the old snake is too powerful.
“It did not matter if it had survived; the beam would have scanned the parts of the told snake into the little bastard; that alone will make the little bastard useless.”
“Most importantly, it is the humans who will have suspicion against him, so his days are going to be pretty miserable,” said the old werewolf and laughed; the others laughed with him.

“Apologies for this, but I hope you understand why we are doing this,” said Lord Whitmore from the other side while I watched him with my frozen eyes.
“Yes, I do. You want to ascertain when I am still Michael Zaar or the old snake?” I asked, speaking with what little energy I could control.
My body is a mess, so is my energy and soul; I could not control any energy, nor could I let it flow through my veins. I could only use a very tiny bit of it; it was a special energy I had created for an emergency, it did not require veins for it.
I am just glad that my inheritance had broken up; the runes bore the change without much damage.
Which is the most important thing; if some something had happened to runes, I would have truly been gone, without any hope of getting out of this predicament, ever.
“Yes, we do, but before we start, I hope you are not in mortal danger; we will give you a chance to heal them,” he said, with guilt, which he tried to clear away unsuccessfully.
“I am wrecked beyond belief Lord Whitmore, but I am not in immediate danger,” I replied. My condition is extremely bad; so bad, even I couldn’t tell whether I would be able to heal from it, but I am not in mortal danger.
“Good,” He replied with relief and worry flooding in his eyes and two beside.
“So, can you tell us what happened, Lord Zaar?” he asked, “As you might have already guessed, the old snake had used a strange method to consume me,” I replied. I wished I could smile right now; I would have given him the mirthless one.
“D..did he succeed? Is it inside you?” he asked with hesitation. “No, Lord Whitmore, it did not succeed; I had burned it,” I replied.
For a moment, there was silence.
“Why didn’t you die, then? From what I understand, the method would have connected your life to it. If it had died, you would have died too,” asked Carmichael, who had been silent till now.
“I would have died, but the treachery of the Grimm saved me; a black beam had come, and it stuck the old snake inside me, weakening the connection,” I replied; seeing that, a surprised expressions couldn’t help but appear on their faces.
“It all seemed very plausible,” said Whitmore; for both me and Grimm, but more in favor of Grimm, like everything went as planned.
“I agree,” I agree.
There is nothing more I can say, as it is not time.
“It is enough for now, we will convene with all the Grand Lords after they return from the battle,” he said and was about to disappear when he stopped with some hesitation.
“My apologies, but we will have to take your storage and also need to seal your powers,” he said with guilt flooding his eyes.
“It is fine,” I said; he nodded but did not move.
Three seconds later, two Grand Lords appeared and walked to the screen. It is Lady May and Silus Bishop; they walked through the screen with guilt flashing in their eyes, more in Lady Mays, as they searched me and took my storage.
There are many of me, and they contain quite a lot of my wealth but not my real wealth.
Grandmistress Charline knew it, as the mirth appeared in her eyes as they took my storage.
“This will be a little painful; please bear it,” said Lady May and placed two thick silver bands on my wrists.
Buzz Buzz
They activated, and I felt their power spreading inside me; the bands are called bands of har. They are the most powerful sealing artifacts we have they, and they do not just seal the powers.
“Thank you for your corporation,” he said and disappeared with the rest, leaving me alone in the most powerful prison in the Pyramid.
