Chapter 792: It Wouldn’t Be Exaggerating to Say That Their Friendship Is One That Could Go Through Life and Death Together

Fu Huai’an’s gaze sank, his dark gaze filled with cold and violent emotions. His thin lips pursed into a straight line that was like a sharp blade.

The warm light and Lin Nuan entered his vision together. He saw the pale-faced Lin Nuan, who was standing in front of the fireplace, and he concealed the emotions in his eyes under faint gentleness as the light shone down on them. He took a look at his watch and said in an even gentler voice, “If you still don’t make a move, the show will be delayed, and we won’t have time to have lunch together at noon.”

Lin Nuan’s icy fingertips clenched together. She was afraid that Fu Huai’an was trying to send her away, and she stood there, not moving, with a pale countenance.

Hearing the slight crackling sounds from the fireplace, Lin Nuan regained her senses and slowly released her tightly clenched fists. She looked down at Fu Huai’an’s coat, which was still in her arms, and walked up to him, handing it to him. “Today is also the first day you’ll be going to the Kaide Corporation as the chairman. Don’t be late! I’ll try my best to head over at noon to look for you!”

Fu Huai’an nodded and took the woolen coat from her. “Alright…”

Even though there were other people in the room, Lin Nuan still hugged Fu Huai’an’s thin waist, not concealing her scorching love for him. “Hubby, I’ll be going!”

This was the first time that Lin Nuan had called Fu Huai’an hubby in front of outsiders.

She wanted to remind Fu Huai’an that no matter what decision he made, he needed to remember that they were already married and were husband and wife… He shouldn’t put himself in danger easily and mustn’t leave her behind by herself!

Although Lin Nuan knew that both Qin Zhe and Feng Yang had used their lives to exchange for the peace and bliss of most people… used their lives to uphold justice and warmth…

Despite knowing that the happiness that she and Fu Huai’an enjoyed was also because countless other people like them were advancing with great difficulties in the dark…

She admitted that she was selfish. She only wanted the small happiness in front of her eyes, not caring about the bigger picture.

Lin Nuan hugged Fu Huai’an tightly, hoping that he would understand the words in her heart, which were hard to voice out. She didn’t want to say those hurtful, selfish, and unkind words.

“Alright!” Fu Huai’an rubbed Lin Nuan’s head gently and wore a calm expression.

Lin Nuan left the room. The front of her coat was left open, revealing the light brown cowl neck sweater underneath. The collar’s opening was a little big, piling below Lin Nuan’s neck, faintly showing off her neck’s beautiful curves.

She lowered her eyes, and her thick lashes cast two fan-shaped shadows on her clean face.

She tugged the black hair tie from her slender wrist, tying up her long hair, which Fu Huai’an loved for her to let down, into a ponytail. It was as if she was setting herself against someone.

“Nuan Nuan…” You Nainai, who followed behind Lin Nuan, said, “Qin Zhe was a soldier working under Sir Fu in the past. They had a strong bond as comrades-in-arms. It’s because when comrades head out to perform missions together, they put their lives in each other’s hands. It wouldn’t be exaggerating to say that their friendship is one that could go through life and death together.”

Lin Nuan treated You Nainai’s words as a preventive injection.

Lin Nuan probably wasn’t an expert at concealing her emotions. You Nainai must have seen through her worry easily.

How could Lin Nuan not understand what You Nainai had said? She had already understood it back when they were in Dubai!

Lin Nuan hadn’t served in the military before and didn’t really understand the bonds they shared as comrades.

You Nainai said that their friendship was one that could go through life and death together.

Lin Nuan looked into the distance, her gaze losing focus. A friendship in which they could go through life and death together must be one that was very strong. She wondered if it was stronger than the gentleness of Fu Huai’an’s fear that Lin Nuan would be worried…

“Let’s go!”

Lin Nuan didn’t turn back to look at their new residence. She had no idea what the outcome of the discussion between Fu Huai’an and Qin Zhe would be.

The previous time, the production crew had already prepared for filming, but Lin Nuan ended up having to leave at the last moment. Therefore, they were unable to proceed.

When they came this time around, Fang Yan had already helped Lin Nuan buy coffee, milk tea, snacks, and cakes for the production crew to express their apologies.

After Mu Taotao put on Lin Nuan’s makeup, Lin Nuan went to the studio to talk to Fu Tianci about some details.

Out of the corner of her eye, Lin Nuan saw that the puppy guy had clumsily broken a light prop and had lowered his head while the assistant director reprimanded him…

Lin Nuan looked over and went into a slight daze. She was unable to relate the calm and composed man who was driving the black Lincoln MKC with this seemingly clumsy puppy guy who wore a hearing aid and appeared anxious.

Lin Nuan subconsciously threw her glance at the staff members who were busy on the production set. She was trying to guess who amongst them, other than Mu Taotao and the puppy guy with a delicate appearance, were people that Fu Huai’an had arranged by her side to protect her.

She recalled Qin Zhe, who went to look for Fu Huai’an that morning, and once again started to worry about what decision Fu Huai’an would eventually make.

“Lin Nuan?” Fu Tianci held onto the script and called out to Lin Nuan, whose mind had wandered off.

Lin Nuan regained her senses and looked toward Fu Tianci. “Yes?”

“I said that I want to wear my uniform, but the people at the TV station say that it won’t be a good influence. Do you think I should wear my uniform or the clothes that they have prepared for me?” Fu Tianci frowned, seemingly displeased. “I told all of my friends to wear their uniforms! If I have to change, then all of them will have to change as well!”

Lin Nuan nodded. “I’ll go and ask the assistant director!”

“Okay!”

Fu Tianci saw Lin Nuan heading toward the assistant director, who was reprimanding someone. He sat down on the sofa, crossing his legs, and looked at the wine cooler that wasn’t far away. Fu Tianci couldn’t hold back his curiosity. He threw a glance in Lin Nuan’s direction before getting up and walking over to look at the wine labels, with his hands behind his back and his back slightly bent over.

“How many props have you broken during this period?” The assistant director reprimanded the puppy guy solemnly. “If not in consideration of the fact that you have bad hearing, I’d have asked you to leave a long time ago!”

The enraged assistant director saw Lin Nuan from the corner of his eye and raised his head, restraining the fury on his face.

Yesterday, Lin Nuan was taken away by a group of people who seemed to be from the triads. However, she was still able to stand there today, unaffected by the episode. The assistant director couldn’t help but guess how big an influence Fu Huai’an, who was Lin Nuan’s backing, had.

“Sister Nuan, do you have something you want to say?” The assistant director smiled at Lin Nuan.

Seeing that Lin Nuan stopped on the stage and nodded to him, the assistant director lowered his voice to warn the puppy guy to be careful in the future, then walked over to the stage. “What’s the matter, Sister Nuan?”

Lin Nuan took a look at the puppy guy who had his head lowered as he left. She then drew back her gaze and said to the assistant director, “Lu Tianyu said that he wants to wear his uniform on the show. Is that not possible?”

“En, the influence isn’t good!” The assistant director nodded. “Wearing a school uniform would mean mentioning a particular school. This isn’t too suitable…”

Lin Nuan understood this. The reason she came over was to help the puppy guy out.

Seeing that the puppy guy had already left, Lin Nuan didn’t press on and said, “Lu Tianyu’s classmates all came dressed in their school uniforms. Since the influence isn’t too good, then let the production crew find them some clothes to change into!”

The assistant director nodded and saw Fu Tianci out of the corner of his eye. He was standing in front of the wine cooler, seeming as if he wanted to make a move…
