He had been waiting for her for a long while.
Zhou Huaijin could only wait for them at this spot since he had no idea which path they were taking, and he feared that they would miss each other.
Zhou Huaijin jumped off the horse upon seeing the wagon heading towards him, and then got directly into the wagon with his martial art skills.
Gu Chaoyan heard the motion and understood that it was Zhou Huaijin who had come to her. So she was not too surprised to see him in the wagon.
“Still feeling sleepy?” Zhou Huaijin asked gently, as he massaged her head. He felt very concerned about her. She had just hurried to Bingzhou to take care of Xinlin Gate and yet she had to hurry back after taking a small break. He felt worried that she would get too tired.
Gu Chaoyan shook her head.
“I can have a rest whenever I can, yet Lord Yan’s child might be destroyed by now. I am not feeling sleepy at all. Let’s head to Lord Yan’s Mansion so that we might have the slightest chance of turning the table,” Gu Chaoyan said, looking worried.
Zhou Huaijin nodded with a very serious look between his eyebrows.
He had tried to persuade his Elder Brother not to bring his wife back to the capital, but his Elder Brother insisted. Without anything else he could do, he ordered his hidden guard to sneak into the accompaniment and keep her safe. The two hidden guards were not only careful with her food, but also in other aspects, and the hidden guards even informed him that nothing was wrong, when he asked them the day before.
So what on earth had gone wrong? What happened to the child all of a sudden?
Zhou Huaijin had not found out what was going on even at present.
He almost felt that they should give up the child, because that child would run into another accident in the future. His Elder Brother, who had been living at the border for half of his life must have suffered both physically and mentally. He was not in the right frame of mind the night before, and if something like this happened again, he might collapse.
That was what he had been thinking, yet he did not say this to Chaoyan.

Chaoyan was rational, but she was very kind-hearted too. She could not accept that a healthy child would end up in such a state.
Zhou Huaijin sighed inwardly.
They soon arrived at Lord Yan’s Mansion.
Zhou Huaijin hurriedly jumped off the wagon, so did Gu Chaoyan.
Lord Yan’s Mansion was very quiet since everyone was in the room.
Zhou Huaijin and Gu Chaoyan arrived outside of the room, which was surrounded by many doctors, and each of them was carrying a medical kit. They had to be the doctors who already worked on the case but failed. They could not simply leave yet.
Gu Chaoyan also saw a very familiar face, namely Li Qing who was from Liufu Hall. Gu Chaoyan shook her head slightly upon seeing this man, who greeted her politely. Li Qing and Gu Chaoyan used to have a grudge, but Li Qing respected Gu Chaoyan after learning so much from her.
Gu Chaoyan nodded and walked straight into the room, without exchanging a word with him.
Lord Yan, who did not grow up in the capital, was very messy in dealing with the emergency. If not for Huaijin, who had offered help, he might not have survived to this day.
Li Qing was a very excellent doctor, but he was someone who only cured external injuries. He was even worse than a midwife when it came to childbirth.
Lord Yan took hold of Gu Chaoyan when he saw her. “Elder Miss, please, help me to save my child!”
Gu Chaoyan nodded and walked in.
Her eyes widened when she saw what was inside.
