Chapter 31: First part of the plan – ” Return of the Nightmare”.

Ash pov

" So they have everything and there are not missing anything?"

Asks Mum as she serves us dinner.

" As I said before Mum they have heating a decent bedroom and a toilet".

I tell my Mum as I slowly start my food. 

" Have you talked to them about the building?" 

Asks father. 

" Yes they asked for time to think ".

I say. 

" Smart girls " 

Says the father with a smile and I fully agree with him. They both show a much higher intellectual level but that is probably because of their living conditions. Kurumi to survive and Neo to fit in. Both were forced to grow up faster, but still they have their typical childish behaviour all the time which is good because they shouldn't give up their childhood yet . 

"So which task did they choose?" 

Asks mum sitting down at the table with us. 

" Xiong" 

I say seeing the look on mum's face as she would expect. 

" Mum are you sure?" 

I ask my mother as to whether she is sure that she will help the girls in case of problems. 

" If something ever happens we will go back to what we were doing and trim some of those Xiong because they are forgetting themselves lately as to the balance of power" 

Says the father seriously. 

' Balance of power, Xiong illegal dust, De Rosa killings and kidnappings, morriatti illegal loans and real estate'. 

' In addition to this, other gangs dealing in weapons, drugs and  other illegal things'. 

And the balance is that no one goes into the business of the other, which means that if the mother's family is involved in murder they cannot try to deal in illegal dust'. 

Thinking about this arrangement I sigh and look at my parents. 

" Do you want to risk a war for two homeless children". 

I say simply. It's not that I don't like Kurumi and Neo it's just that it's not rational if it wasn't for our mother I wouldn't give them this assignment because even with their skills they can screw things up. 

" Ash you are too attached to thinking". 

" We won't save all the homeless children in the Vale but we can help the ones who are stand out" 

" I know you didn't mean it like that and you're just worried about them getting hurt but after you talk about their progress I believe a mission at this level is not a problem. "

" Knowing Kurumi she already has a plan right? "

Father asks towards the end of his statement. I sigh and look at him because he is right and Kurumi already has a plan which makes me impressed especially since what is now part of the plan could turn into a new force in Vale into a gang channelling information . 

" They need two scrolls and the opportunity to connect with you mum". 

I say looking at our smiling mother. 

Pov Kurumi

' Someone in Vale is smuggling and selling illegal dust which in small quantities is not a problem but these are quite large shipments which does not please the Xiong family' 

' Especially as the other side is impersonating other smaller gangs which causes tension and destabilisation' 

Thinking about this I sit on the roof looking at the familiar warehouse where the homeless people enter and leave. Suddenly I feel someone touch the top of my head and turning around I see a smiling Neo with a cold drink in both hands. 

"Thank you "

I say to Neo picking up one of the drinks after which I open it and drink. Neo sits down next to me as we wait together for the first stage of my plan. Again I am pulled from my thoughts by my pink mouse.

"What's going on? "

I ask looking at her when I notice she is pointing at something looking in that direction I see what she is pointing at. 

" It's him"

I say with a smile looking at the familiar horned junkie. Getting up from the ledge I'm sitting on I shake out my dress looking to see if everything is sleek, I fix my ponytails and eye patch. I then look at Neo who is looking at me with a face of " Are you serious?". 

" Neo lady should always look beautiful even when she meets someone like Lotus". 

I say when a playful smile appears on Neo's face which makes me know she has caught on to what I am playing at then she gently bows pulling her bowler off her head as she asks for my hand. With a giggle I give her my hand which she gently kisses. 

"Stop it or I'll fall in love with you". 

I say to which my mouse puts on her bowler hat then she straightens up as we both look towards the warehouse. 

"Time to say hello to old friends."

I say after which we both jump off the roof and head towards the Lotus. 

Pov 3 person 

In the warehouse filled with tents and hearths were a mass of homeless people some sleeping in sleeping bags others walking aimlessly and some holding rusty tools, boards and knives apparently serving as security for the place. In an office located at the top of the warehouse stood Lotus the leader of the place looking through the glass at the homeless people in the hall. 

"Guys bring me some tea". 

Says Lotus looking at his two "bodyguards" who nod to him then leave. Lotus walks over to an old dusty office chair and sits down on it then starts twirling around on it like a fool while laughing. 

" Are you having fun?" 

Says a soft girly voice however hearing a voice from nowhere Lotus is frightened causing him to lose his balance and fall over with the chair backwards just under two pairs of feet. 

With his eyes wide open Lotus looks at the three eyes each a different colour set in beautiful little faces on which an amused and cruel smile is painted. 

Lotus' mouth opens visibly wanting to scream but this action is interrupted when his face pales as the barrel of an antique gun appears on his forehead. 

"I came to talk. "

Says Kurumi with a smile looking straight into his drug clouded eyes.

"So who sent you to me? "

Says a nervous Lotus looking at Neo who sits with a serious face on his leather chair trying to intimidate him as Kurumi sits on her lap. 

" Can't I visit old friends anymore?" 

Asks Kurumi kindly. 

" Hehe I would remember if I ever met such a lovely young lady." 

Says a nervous Lotus glancing at the gun lying on the desk next to Kurumi's pale hand. 

" Lotus, Lotus keep taking this shit that is destroying your memory. "

Says Kurumi getting off Neo's lap then she walks over to Lotus and rotates in front of him letting her dress and hair move in the breeze. While this scene was beautiful it made Lotus look like an idiot. 

" Are you my daughter "

Asks Lotus uncertainly, unconcerned that he is close enough to Kurumi to catch her and use this to his advantage. Hearing his answer Kurumi just looks at him. 

" Copper number two" 

Says Kurumi with blank eyes while shaking her head denying reality. On the other hand Neo's serious face disappeared as she turned all red and her cheeks puffed up as tears squeezed into her eyes trying not to burst out laughing. 

Sighing Kurumi notices the movement of Lotus who finally wanted to get out of the situation by catching Kurumi "defenceless". However, his body flew forward as his legs were held by the hands that emerged from his shadow. Flying forward he stopped when his throat met the barrel of the gun which " teleported" into Kurumi's hand . 

The distance between Kurumi's and Lotus' faces was so small that Kurumi could smell his stench and he could smell a faint rose fragrance mixed with the smell of ice cream. However, the stench did not bother Kurumi when she brought her face so close to his that in his eyes her face distorted due to optical illusion (I have no idea what this is called in English sorry about that). 

" I am not your daughter I am your worst nightmare." 

Says Kurumi sticking out her tongue trying to look cute when it all came together in Lotus' eyes.
