Part 1 - The Ant

"What are you looking at?"

The Human sat on his table in his room, surrounded by countless bookshelves filled with an unbelievable neat assortment of books stared down at the Ant.

The Ant was looking up, his small skinny antennas moving around his eyes observed the ceiling of the man's room, shifting his gaze all around, looking at the books, cupboards, wall, and all that could be seen.

"Human, what is that."

The Ant signalled his antenna toward the source of light in front of him.

"This is a Desk Lamp."

The Human answered.

"How wonderful, it is much like the Sun, is it not? It creates light, but for what purpose?"

The Ant, awed by its function and its sheer massive size looked on with admiration and delight, questioning the Human with his unsatisfied curiosity.

"It's to help me read my books, and to help me work in the dark, Ant."

"Read what? Work on what?"

The Ant probed further.

"I'd love to tell you, but you wouldn't understand."

The Human replied with a smile, though it was met by the disappointed look from the Ant.

"These black things, what do they mean?"

The Ant walked onto a book that was currently open on the table, walking all over the Ink, assessing the fine ink of the paper before meeting the finger of the Human.

"Those are letters."

"-What are letters?"

"Letters are things that create words."

"-What are words?"

"Words are things that create sentences."

"-Why do you have sentences in a book?"

The Human smiled once again.

"I'd love to tell you, but you wouldn't understand."

The Ant was left unsatisfied once again.

The Ant then turned around and got off the book, pointing his Antenna toward a large spectacle, a large blue globe with shapes and words on it.

"-Human, what is this?"

"That is a globe of the entire world, the world is huge."

"-Even bigger than this room?"

"So so much bigger."

"-How much bigger?"

"I'd love to explain it to you, but you wouldn't understand."

The Ant sighed, and laid down against the book.

"Human, why is it I exist? How is it the lamp shines? How is it, are words to be made? How is it are letters to be formed? What are in these books? What does the information represent? Of other world? What world? What is out there which I do not know?

The Ant stood up, his Antennas pointing straight forward, pouring his thoughts out into dramatic words, talking toward the large Human.

Of course, the Ant understood that letters formed words, he understood the purpose of a light lamp and that books are ment to be read and that words formed books.

But he was not asking for what these letters, words, or Desk Lamp did.

He was asking for what they represented.

He knew the Human had all the answers he was asking for.

The Human smiled gently:

"Ant, there are so many places out of here that are beyond your limited understanding. Places that I myself have been to and come across many times. It is such a vast large space, so vast that you'd look like something of severe insignificance. I walk within the walls, walk through the doors and dance through the floors of such places. Perhaps, I buy some objects to bring home, or I may sit outside for a good warm breeeze with chatting with my friends. But I'm afraid, even with my vast knowledge and my understanding of what you so desire: I would love it so much to tell you, but you wouldn't understand."

"What are you looking at?"

The Universe said to the Human.

The Human was sitting outside the front porch looking into the dark starry sky through his long telescope, glaring into the stars and any planets he could see.

"Universe, what is that?"

The Human pointed toward the Stars, responding to the voice of the Universe.

"That is a Star."

"How wonderful, it's much like the Sun, is it not? It shines brightly in the sky, in a place I will never reach in my entirety of existence. But, for what purpose does it float?"

The Human asked, musing curiously about the stars.

"It is to create life in other places such as this place."

The Universe responded.

"Create life? For what?"

The Human probed further.

"I'd love to tell you, but you wouldn't understand."

The Universe replied with an audible smile, though it was met with the disappointed look from the Human.

The Human peered into the Telescope once again, and noticed a shooting star, which was followed by an entire meteor shower.

"These moving things, what are they?"

The Human observed further, his eyes admiring the beautiful sight of the lights and movement by the meteor shower against the dark starry night sky, taking a fresh breath of awe with a smile of admiration for the sky.

"Those, are combinations of Ice and Dust."

"-What are combinations of Ice and Dust?"

"Those are Comets."

"-Why are there Comets in the sky? For what purpose?"

"Gravity from planets moves it all around the sky."

"-...But, why?"

"I'd love to tell you, but you wouldn't understand."

The Universe smiled once again.

"-Universe, why is it that I exist? Why is it that the Sun shines every morning? Why is it does the moon shine brightly every night? Why is it are there so many stars? What do these stars represent? Another world? What world? What is out there in which I do not already know?"

The Human stood up, pouring his thoughts out into dramatic words, talking into the empty sky.

Of course, the Human understood why all of this happened. The world the Human lived in explored all of this, but the Human wasn't asking f0r that information.

The Human was asking for a deeper meaning, not the for a surface for "how" it works, but "Why does it exist?".

The Human was questioning the existence, and purpose of it all.

And the Human was curious about the world outside the land he is stuck onto.

"..."

The Universe was silent.

"Why are you silent, Universe?"

The Human knew that the Universe had all the answers he was asking for.

"..."

The Universe kept silent once again.

But after a few seconds, the Universe responded in a deep loud voice, the wind suddenly blowing loudly toward the Human, the leaves and trees swaying wildly around the Human as the stars glistened about in the sky.

"Human, there are so many places that are beyond your limited understanding. Places that I myself have been to and come across many times. It is such a vast large space, so vast that you'd look like something of severe insignificance. I watch all that is made, I observe and create. I am not bound by space, nor time or bothered by the insignificance of Human limitations. But I'm afraid, even with my vast knowledge and my understanding of what you so desire: I would love it so much to tell you, but you wouldn't understand."

"..."

The Human kept silent as the presence of the Universe slowly disappeared shortly after. The Human went back into his house, and sat on his seat thoughtfully, thinking about the words of the Universe and then thinking about the Ant. And in the end, smiling in satisfaction, understanding the words from the Universe.
