Strong winds whistled.
Evil Scholar with the lowest cultivation and weakest pet beast was the first to cave in.
The others were still doing alright as they all had Rank 4 pet beasts to fortify their physical bodies, defending them from the cold.
Black Crow, Madam Ghost Child, and Coffin Man practically attacked together.
The black falcon took flight, emitting a dark aura as he cawed, sending waves of deterrence. However, this had no effect on the old dragon. The latter kept gliding in the air, sweeping down snowstorms whenever he moved.
This was truly a remarkable skill.
Unable to get close, the black falcon was thoroughly suppressed by the old dragon. Their difference in strength was too huge.
The swaddle in Ghost Child’s arms let out a hysterical shriek before swiping out several air blades. Yet, the old dragon hardened his physical body, laughing eerily.
Although the air blades were forceful, after a certain distance, the intensity weakened. Moreover, the old dragon’s scales were tough. From a distance of about a hundred feet, the attack left only shallow scars, unable to deal sizeable damage.
Even Coffin Man was helpless against the old dragon that was soaring in the air. Both him and his pet beast, the zombie cthulhu couldn’t fly.
The old dragon clearly intended to utilize his personal advantage by raking up a blizzard within the barrier to freeze them all alive.
Lin Jin had a counter for this. He only had to remove the barrier but they wouldn’t be able to deal the dragon any damage still. Moreover, if he did remove the barrier, the opponent would most probably escape.
If the old dragon ran away, they surely wouldn’t be able to locate him easily, and that would spell danger for He Yu.
This was probably the old dragon’s plan as well.
Lin Jin linked up the museum and soon, the curator’s door appeared behind him. This time, the metal door opened slightly with a creak.
In an instant, an invisible force together with a ray of light surged out.
Almost immediately, the blizzard the old dragon sent forth fell away, disappearing in the blink of an eye as the sun shone again.
Things weren’t as simple as they seemed.
Lin Jin knew that the old dragon suffered heavy injuries during their last battle where Lin Jin’s coiled wire needle destroyed one of his veins. Hence, this old dragon was merely straining himself. Borrowing the energy leaking out of the door, Lin Jin linked it up to a coiled wire needle, and fire it toward his target.
This silver needle was too tiny to be noticed. The old dragon’s body froze in the air before letting out a terrible shrill, puking blood, and falling to the ground.
Looks like he was severely injured.
But no one noticed what had happened earlier. They only saw how the curator’s door opened and when a light shone through, the cheeky old dragon suddenly collapsed.
‘Curator is too amazing!’
‘Curator probably didn’t intend to come here personally but this old dragon had a death wish and actually harmed Curator’s disciple, forcing him to take action. This old dragon is just asking for it.’
Black Crow and Evil Scholar exchanged a glance, understanding one another’s thoughts.
Ghost Child and Coffin Man also shared the same sentiments.
Curator only had to release his phenomenal aura for the old dragon to fall, heavily injured to the ground. He wouldn’t have to take any more action after that as Coffin Man was already charging forward to deal the dragon a heavy blow.
Though the old dragon was badly wounded, he still had some strength left to fight back. But up against an expert like Coffin Man, all he could do was lay there and be beaten up. Brief moments later, the old dragon was on the brink of death.
Coffin Man was shrouded in a dark aura with his limbs solid as metal. Due to his great respect for Curator, he immediately retreated when it seemed it was enough. The old dragon had lost all power to fight back so it was up to Curator to decide his fate.

Lin Jin looked at Coffin Man.
This person was quite the sensible man. When the old dragon fell down, Coffin Man immediately understood Lin Jin’s intention so he went over to pummel the old dragon. He must have borrowed his zombie cthulhu’s strength too. Finally, the man stepped down so Lin Jin could have the final say.
What a brilliant man.
Despite his aloof demeanor and quiet character, Coffin Man was prudent and incredibly intelligent.
Lin Jin nodded to show his approval.
Black Crow and the others finally realized what was going on and mused how fast Coffin Man had reacted. They regretted not figuring this out earlier and letting Coffin Man steal the glory. Curator looked exceptionally pleased with Coffin Man now.
They had missed out!
Now that results were obvious, Lin Jin approached the old dragon.
He was curled up on the ground with trouble breathing. His body, covered in jade scales was badly injured and he kept vomiting blood. It was obvious how powerful a damage Lin Jin’s aura imbued needle could do.
Also, Lin Jin was mistaken about one thing.
The old dragon was terribly hurt not only because of the needle. It was mainly because he was still performing a spell. When forcibly interrupted, the castor would suffer feedback, thus injuring him to this extent.
However, Lin Jin didn’t know about this and the others didn’t either. So, they placed all the credit unto the curator.
As he watched the curator in a devil mask come close, the old dragon tried lifting his head several times but failed. Having lived for more than four hundred years, this old dragon was smart enough to know what awaited him next.
“Cough, cough!” After coughing up another mouthful of blood, the old dragon said, “Legitimacy belongs to the victor. I admit defeat. Spiritual master, your cultivation is too profound and I can’t compare. As an enlightened, I’m sure you know how difficult cultivation is for us monsters. Please have mercy and let me live. I’m willing to retract the curse and will also tell you a grave secret.”
Finally afraid now? Begging for mercy?
Too late.
Putting aside what real experts would do, at least Lin Jin wouldn’t trust this old dragon anymore.
Furthermore, Lin Jin already knew that the dragon was nearing his end. Even if Lin Jin didn’t kill him, he wouldn’t be able to live much longer. That curse was also the key to prolonging his life. Would he easily retract it?
He was most probably buying time again.
As for this so-called ‘grave secret’, while Lin Jin was mildly interested, it was most probably a lie.
Hence, Lin Jin stayed silent. Noticing the unfavorable situation, he quickly said, “Spiritual master, are you really going to kill me? If you do, the sixth princess’s curse will never be broken. She won’t be able to escape the clutches of death.”
Lin Jin shook his head.
At this point, the old dragon was still spouting nonsense. Had it been someone else, they might have believed him but Lin Jin would never buy it.
Because he already learned how to break the curse from the museum. He only had to slay the old dragon and do nothing else.
As the curator made no response, the old dragon truly panicked.
Four hundred years was a long time and the longer he lived, the more he feared death.
Perhaps he sensed death was near, the old dragon began trembling all over.
Lin Jin secretly invoked a spell under his sleeve.
Xiao Huo pounced over at once in enlarged form and bit down on the old dragon’s neck.
His sharp teeth simply punctured the old dragon’s neck. Dragon blood began to splatter everywhere as the old dragon writhed in agony, gradually losing strength.
“Drink as much as you can. This dragon blood is a great supplement that’s a hundred times stronger than any dragon blood pill,” Lin Jin told Xiao Huo.
