White Ape’s punch earlier was done out of mere whim which he came to regret later. After all, his punch was so powerful that not only did the island break into two pieces, but it killed most of the people here as well.
Who could walk away with shattered internal organs? Exactly, no one.
Even so, Lin Jin did not pin the blame on White Ape. These demonic appraisers have committed too many crimes so eliminating them made a positive impact on the grander scale of things. Also, White Ape was in a unique state earlier and that punch was pretty important. It was a chance to gain enlightenment and for him to achieve a breakthrough so even if Lin Jin knew the destruction that was bound to happen, he wouldn’t have stopped White Ape.
Still, before the demonic appraisers died, Lin Jin wanted to ask them about the Demonic Appraisal Association.
Lin Jin had heard about them and the Beast Appraisal Association did have some information on the notorious organization. Given that one had righteous ideals, it was a given that these two establishments were fundamentally at odds with each other.
As the Demonic Appraisal Association had once murdered an entire city’s worth of ethical beast appraisers, headquarters at the royal capital archived most of the organization’s evil deeds. Now that Lin Jin was chief of Maple City’s Beast Appraisal Association branch, he had the authority to access these records.
Generally speaking, these evildoers had to be eliminated upon encounter with no mercy shown.
Elder Song was wobbling slightly as he stared at Lin Jin. Suddenly, he asked, “Has Elder Zhou been done in as well?”
Elder Zhou?
Lin Jin tried to guess who he was talking about. It must be one of the four demonic appraisers that went to the Qiao family because Lin Jin only found this place through the help of one of their pet beasts.
“Are you concerned about his safety?” Lin Jin asked back.
Elder Song shook his head. “Does it make any difference? Who exactly are you? We don’t even know who you are, so why the need to massacre us like this?”
After a thought, Lin Jin removed the Camouflage spell he had cast upon himself. He had been concealing part of his outfit the whole time so now, his three-ringed sleeve guard was revealed. Upon seeing it, Elder Song’s eyes widened.
“The Beast Appraisal Association? No… This can’t be. How could a mere Rank 3 possess such strength? Just who are you?”
Elder Song’s body was faltering. Lin Jin knew the man couldn’t hold out much longer but he couldn’t let the man die just yet.
He flicked out a needle, which pierced into one of Elder Song’s acupoints to temporarily prolong his life. Now, he at least had a couple of hours more to live.
Elder Song was visibly shocked. He did not expect Lin Jin to possess such phenomenal skills too. With this, his suspicion that Lin Jin wasn’t just a Rank 3 beast appraiser was confirmed.
Could he be a Rank 4 beast appraiser from some premium country?
But so what if he was Rank 4? For him to simply provoke the Demonic Appraisal Association and annihilate one of their branches, headquarters would never let him off the hook that easily.
Even if the person they were dealing with was a Rank 4 beast appraiser, or maybe even a premium country, the Demonic Appraisal Association would see this issue through to the very end.
“Since this is only one of the eight Demonic Appraisal Association branches, where are the other branch offices? And where is your headquarters?” Lin Jin asked.
Elder Song laughed out loud. “Spare your strength. Know that after what you have done, the Demonic Appraisal Association will never forgive you. They’ll come to you before you go to them.”
Just then, a strange bat flew out from a nearby distance. This bat was completely black all over and looked just like a shadow from a far distance.
With his quick reflexes, Lin Jin shot a swift needle at the bat. To his surprise, the needle ended up piercing through what felt like thin air.
“This is a thousand-mile shadow bat. No matter how skilled you are, you can’t possibly touch it. Whatever happened today and your aura has been recorded. It doesn’t matter who you are. Just wait for an endless pursuit of your life, hahaha!” Elder Song was quite pleased. Even if he was moments away from death, this man wouldn’t be able to live too long either.
Their Demonic Appraisal Association headquarters was not to be taken lightly. Headquarters even had the audacity to challenge premium countries so if they wanted a Rank 4 beast appraiser dead, he wouldn’t live past the next three days.

Elder Song had absolute confidence in that.
However, before he could finish laughing, he saw a door appearing behind Lin Jin as the pressuring aura around them abruptly spiked.
It was as if they had entered another dimension.
Lin Jin flicked out another needle and this time, it successfully pierced into the thousand-mile shadow bat. The creature let out a tragic shriek before disappearing into thin air.
“That thousand-mile shadow bat doesn’t seem like much.”
Lin Jin smiled. He had used the Nebular Barrier in tandem with the museum’s aura and sure enough, it worked. Although Lin Jin wasn’t afraid of being pursued, it was still better to resolve troublesome issues quickly.
Lin Jin had done it all so effortlessly and that only seemed much more terrifying in Elder Song’s eyes.
“That… that was a thousand-mile shadow bat. How is it possible…” Frightened, the man who discreetly sent the bat out finally couldn’t hold on much longer. He puked blood and then dropped dead then and there.
Only a handful of demonic appraisers were still breathing now. Elder Song simply fell limp to the ground with a baffled look on his face.
The thousand-mile shadow bat was an item crafted by headquarters through the help of dark sorcery. It had never failed in delivering messages nor could anyone stop it. Everyone in the Demonic Appraisal Association knew this fact. But today, someone had broken the precedent and killed the thousand-mile shadow bat.
This was absurd.
Amidst his shock, Elder Song seemed to have forgotten to breathe. In the end, he spat out a mouthful of blood before dying from asphyxiation.
Lin Jin hadn’t expected this to happen. To think Elder Song would die from his own adrenaline.
White Ape performed Transformation to reduce his size and then looked around. By now, other than him and Lin Jin, there were virtually no signs of life on this battered island.
“Master Lin, that punch just now…” White Ape was anxious, worried that Lin Jin might reprimand him for not holding back. Most of the people here died from his earth-shattering punch after all.
Lin Jin waved his hand, a gesture that told White Ape not to worry about that.
It was a battle in which their opponent kept dishing out fatal attacks one after another. There was no need for White Ape to hold back at all.
With his cultivation and mentality improved, Lin Jin became more accepting of the distinction between good and evil. He would be kind to the virtuous and should he encounter bandits or evildoers, those who deserved punishment or death shall receive his wrath.
Eliminating this Demonic Appraisal Association branch was purely a coincidence. Although he couldn’t find out more details, just as some confidential letters from the Beast Appraisal Association Headquarters had described, the Demonic Appraisal Association’s influence was quite significant.
Lin Jin removed his Nebula Barrier. To his surprise, the fog above the lake began to slowly dissipate to that point where he was able to see Reed City in the distance.
Lin Jin crouched down to search Elder Song’s corpse. He found a notebook, several bottles of pills, and a few letters.
The other corpses didn’t have much except for money. Lin Jin took all the ill-gotten gains as they would sink to the bottom of the lake if he left them here anyway.
After being broken in half, Turtle Island had now begun sinking.
Upon taking a closer look at the crack, the earth below Turtle Island was actually the shell of an enormous turtle. Before Lin Jin arrived here, he had already noticed something different about Turtle Island.
He extended an arm to feel the turtle’s shell below his feet. The Museum of Deadly Beasts was instantly triggered and the image of a turtle beast appeared.
“What a huge turtle!” Lin Jin couldn’t resist exclaiming as he stared at the specimen in the museum.
This turtle beast might just be the largest terrestrial creature Lin Jin had recorded into the museum thus far. And just how big was it? Simply put, it would be a mountain on land or an island at sea!
“It’s an immortal beast!”
