Daluo Temple had never been so busy before.
What surprised Zhi Nian was the fact that many of their visitors were highly respectable high monks who were all above him in rank. Some were even figures their late abbot had had to salute to.
This prompted Zhi Nian to stay alert and refrain from making mistakes.
However, he had swiftly gotten used to handling situations as he knew that their temple’s current pillar was a profound immortal Buddha.
Hence, every visitor had been respectful, clear that they were here as pilgrims. And Zhi Nian was thankful for that.
Not too long ago, he assumed Daluo Temple would soon fall to ruin. But now, it seemed like they had a bright future instead.
Two days later, the Nine Zen Court was packed with no seats left available. Those present were all high monks of over a hundred years old, and each one of them had a revered reputation of their own.
That wasn’t all. The outside of Nine Zen Court was also packed with people, sitting in circles that extended outward.
Today, the profound Buddha would begin his preaching.
At that moment, Buddhist light shone and Inferno Monk appeared.
He sat, cross-legged, on a flaming lotus platform. The size of his body was larger than the average human’s by several folds, looking like a real Buddha. He had seven layers of Buddhist halos shining behind him, his appearance solemn and stern. The instant he appeared, the high monks felt a calming breeze and they quickly sang a hymn and saluted.
As this was the first Buddha who dared to show his face after two thousand years, the high monks were ecstatic. Some were even crying tears of joy.
“Silence!”
Inferno Monk no longer looked like the vulgar man he was whenever he was in Lin Jin’s company. Looking sterner than ever, he had spoken with the voice of a Buddha that contained dense mana and calming effects, letting it reverberate throughout Daluo Temple.
The monks were stunned by this one word and they immediately calmed down from their earlier agitation and uncontrollable emotions.
Many high monks knew that words spoken with a Buddhist spell could cleanse their minds. Upon hearing that word, the monks stilled themselves and concentrated on their Dharma knowledge only to realize that their cultivation of the religion had improved significantly.
Aside from the high monks, the normal monks outside experienced an even larger effect.
Some young monks had shown signs of enlightenment. With a stern expression, they even had Buddhist light glowing from their beings. This was undoubtedly a huge improvement. Some that had been stuck in the same realm for years, even decades, simply broke through from their bottleneck situation.
Even the beasts in the vicinity had calmed down, sitting still to listen carefully. Such a miracle that would have caused a huge commotion elsewhere continued to spread out until everyone got used to seeing it.
Inferno Monk wasted no time on chit-chat and began his preaching.
Right off the bat, everything he talked about was important and direct teachings. This suited Inferno Monk’s personality as he was a straightforward man who didn’t like beating around the bush.
His talk went on for three days and nights.
In these three days, the skies over Daluo Temple had been beautiful with birds flying around peacefully. The beasts in the area had also been living in harmony with no signs of killing anywhere.
Some people had even witnessed a scene where a tiger and deer were drinking at a river together.
Thus, rumors of the voice of Buddha coming from Daluo Temple began to spread.

Through word of mouth, the story became so magical after having additional elements added on that all Buddhists would remember these historical three days.
Lin Jin didn’t study Buddhism nor had he any intention of stealing Inferno Monk’s limelight, so he finally had time to visit Jade Dragon’s capital city.
Back when the Grassy Continent coalition invaded, Jade Dragon City was one of the scarce few cities that remained untouched during the war.
It was also because most of the country’s forces were gathered here and they had reinforcements from Heavenly Spiral. That was how they managed to stay intact.
Of course, the Grassy Continent coalition hadn’t concentrated their troops on invading the capital too, otherwise, who knows what would have happened? After all, the coalition was being manipulated by the Beast Deity Cult and Patriarch Xue Pao.
Having the tendency to do things as he pleased, Lin Jin couldn’t be bothered to report his arrival. He simply traveled to the capital by cloud, and since it was a cloudy day today, not many people noticed his arrival.
When he descended, Lin Jin activated Camouflage to avoid startling the citizens.
He only undid the Camouflage in a back alley. When he looked at the imperial city, he felt a strange feeling. Logically speaking, only a few months had passed since the last time he came here, but now, it felt as if he hadn’t been here in ages.
Perhaps Lin Jin had encountered and seen too much in between.
Upon arriving at Jade Dragon City, Lin Jin’s first destination wasn’t the palace but the Beast Appraisal Association Headquarters.
After all, he was still a beast appraiser. Moreover, he wanted to meet his friends, such as Appraiser Tan.
It was noon sharp and the Beast Appraisal Association Headquarters was as busy as always. The line of customers here for appraisals or treatment seemed to stretch on forever. Lin Jin was already used to seeing this since before. Normal folk only had one pet beast each so if even the slightest problem arose, they would come seeking consultation. Many wanted appraisals on their pet beasts too so it made sense for the association to be busy.
Lin Jin also saw many people who were dressed differently from the local citizens. These were probably visitors from other countries or even continents.
It was usual to have foreigners visit the association, but before Lin Jin knew it, the city had become so lively.
Lin Jin was about to go in when he heard a loud commotion at the association gates.
“Is this the level your Jade Dragon Beast Appraisal Association has? We came all this way but our rare beast still died after treatment. How will you deal with this?”
The person who shouted seemed furious. This man was tall and dressed exotically. Judging by his thick beard and large boots, he probably came from the north.
Due to his fiery temple, he had grabbed a young appraiser to interrogate him. The latter frowned and behind him, his pet beast growled menacingly.
If this northern man dared to try anything, the appraiser would not show him any more courtesy.
“I, Old Hu, am not someone easily frightened. You have a pet beast and I do too.” The northern man was unafraid. Sure enough, he had a pet beast beside him. It was a large brown bear who stood up tall to face the appraiser.
There were people from the association advising the young appraiser to calm down while the northern man’s comrades were also urging their friend to stop making a fuss.
Yet, the two people in question only grew more hostile toward each other.
Judging by aura alone, the northern man obviously had an advantage. Although the young appraiser couldn’t compete in that aspect, as a passionate youth, he showed no intention of backing down.
Just then, an older appraiser came out from the association. The others immediately saluted at the sight of him.
Lin Jin smiled upon seeing him too.
The person who just came out was none other than his old friend, Appraiser Tan..
