Episode 174- Letting go was good as well.

Yet… She couldn't bring herself to do it. Maybe if she still retained her selfishness, she would have. But...

Euria stared at her palm that had yet to be stained red.

"Euria! Please Euria! Please don't do this! Please! Sister! Please, I'm begging you." A voice filled with misery sounded in her mind. This was followed by an image of a disheveled lady with grey hair begging her which made her head throbbed.

"..." The she from before remained silent and only watched as the person with a similar appearance to her own got down to her knees.

Euria shook her head. And as if she made her final decision, she flashed towards the youngest child; the one-year-old child.

"Hn, not infected," Euria confirmed slowly and backed away.

The boy trembled in fear as tears streamed down his eyes. He knew that death was the best option, but when it came to it, he didn't want to die! Not to mention, he didn't want his precious siblings to die. He wanted them to experience a good life. A world where they are allowed to smile!

"It'll be painful. Be careful not to scream too much."

Euria's voice broke his determination in an instant. He closed his eyes to prepare for his death and listened as someone moved back and forth at a quick pace.

With every step Euria took, screams erupted and vanished.

Whilst everyone else in Zene slept peacefully, only Euria was awake mercilessly causing people to scream. The hidden bodyguard who was standing behind Euria couldn't help but shake in fear as the young lives in front of her dimmed down one by one.

After the ordeal, Euria took a step back and yawned from tiredness. "I need sleep."

"Ma... Master.." Euria's bodyguard trembled as she stared at the pool of blood in front of her.

Euria turned to the guard and smiled very charmingly

-Cough-

-Cough-

The hidden guard's eyes widened as much as possible as she glanced at the red pool in speechlessness. One by one, children were standing up. The imagery of children standing up amidst blood terrified her so much that she dropped down to her knees.

"Hick- It hurts… brother." a small child cried out as she rubbed her eyes.

The older brother reached over for the small child and rubbed her gently. After that, he turned to Euria and glared at her! She said that death was the only way to escape pain! She made it sound as if she was going to do the deed without making them feel any pain at all! But what was this? This hurt so much!!

Euria shrugged her shoulders.

"Why…" The eldest child gritted his teeth as he glared.

Euria raised a brow, "You should be grateful to me." Her voice raised on the word 'me' making the boy very speechless.

"Huh?"

"I let you off… easy." Do you think it's an easy thing to let go of the enemies that killed your brother? I only let you off because of Eugeneia. Be grateful.

"What?" The boy couldn't comprehend Euria words when a gasp could be heard!

"W, What's wrong?!" He ran to his younger sister who gasped. The girl whose knees were infected. His eyes lowered to her knees unconsciously when he froze from shock. The knees of his younger sibling weren't infected but were… shinny. It was brimming with smoothness belonging to that of a baby that he tilted his head in confusion.

"What… in… heaven." His hands trembled as they poked it.

"What did you do?" He turned to face Euria and inquired. His tone had changed from one of hostility to one of shock.

Euria didn't want to explain but the sparkling eyes that radiated from the younger sister made her freeze. She clicked the roof of her mouth before explaining, albeit reluctantly,

"I removed the impurities from your body and replaced it with vitality. That's also why you experienced a lot of pain."  Which was also why there were pools of blood on the floor. Because they had so much toxin inside their bodies.

"What… What does that mean."

Euria gave the boy an 'are-you-serious' look and explained once more, "It means. You're healthy and that you're free." Free of the 'infection'.

"Huh?" The boy stared at her, confusion still plastered on his face.

Euria rolled her eyes and didn't attempt to explain anymore. She simply rushed the children out of the greenhouse and forced them to walk to a hidden location in Zene where Exitum could not find them.

"Hide here."

"But… Father will.." one child hesitated suddenly.

'You walked all the way here and only realized it now?' Euria's forehead twitched.

"He will die tomorrow. From now on you are free." Euria explained. She paused for a moment before continuing, "From now on you are mine. Get it?"

The boy didn't respond and stared at her blankly. He was so speechless that he couldn't comprehend her words.

Euria didn't say anything else and handed the boy a big bag that contained food "Pelle will come over tomorrow to give you money, food, and clothes. This much should be enough for today."

The young boy still did not reply.

"Who is Pelle…?" One small child asked as she gripped Euria in her hands.

Euria wanted to shake the child's hands-off but couldn't bear to, "The person behind me." She pointed to her hidden bodyguard who wasn't hidden anymore. Pelle's eyes were widened as she didn't recall telling Euria her name ever.

The young boy finally snapped out of his deep thoughts. He couldn't bring himself to believe what Euria said, but seeing her leaving just like that, he felt awkward.

"What do you want us to do?" He rushed forward and stopped in front of Euria. The girl in front of him was like a devil. She played with so much blood when she cut through them and sliced them apart yet was still kind enough to bring them to safety, give them money, and most importantly freedom. He couldn't understand what Euria was thinking at all.

Euria turned to the child, ".... I don't know. Live well? Be happy? Protect my family? Don't hurt my family? Be good to your siblings?" She listed out whatever was on her mind and whatever would make Eugene favor her more.

The young boy didn't say anything and thought for a moment. After a moment, he seemed to make a decision and nodded his head firmly. The girl in front of him was a demon. But she was also an angel who saved their lives.

"I will live well. Be happy. Protect Miss's family. Never hurt Miss's family. And be a good brother to my siblings." The boy's eyes were resolute as they stared into Euria's.

"....Hn" She hummed as she stared straight into the boy's eyes. There were still some parts of her that wanted nothing but to kill the child in front of her. But there was also a part of her that felt free and relieved.

'Relieved and free.' The incident that happened when she and her sister turned three appeared in her mind.

Eugene could've killed their grandmother to get revenge but she didn't. Back then, she had sprouted random words to make Eugene calm down because she felt that Eugene was going to push her away. Not to mention, she was only acting based on her 'dreams' and not on the memories she now has. Thinking about it, she had felt surprised that Eugene followed what she said and did not do anything else. But now… she understood. Rather than revenge… letting go was good as well.

Euria clutched her head for a brief second before sighing. She wanted to return to the palace, but she knew she wouldn't be able to because she had used too many powers, not to mention… her internal organs were bleeding. Hence, she got accommodation and slept outside instead.

"Pelle. Give the children more money, and find 2 caretakers to take care of them." Euria mumbled as she leaned against the hard mattress.

"Yes, Master." A voice from who-knows-where answered.

"When everything settles down, we will bring them to the border between Zene and Xenperia."

"Yes, Master."

"Alright. Go clean yourself up. You smell of blood and it's disgusting. How can you not take care of yourself when you're a female?" Euria turned to her side and began to complain.

Pelle was quiet for a long time before she decided to ask, ".... Master, may I ask you two questions?"

Euria grabbed the water on the side table and drank it while lying down. She didn't reply for a while as she debated whether to allow Pelle to ask her questions or not. In the end, Euria sighed, "Say it."

She was prepared. Prepared for Pelle to ask her why she was acting so weird. Why she was strangely strong.

"Master, how did you know my name?"

"..."

"Master, how did you know I was female?"

"..."
