In Euria's letters, she was always degrading herself, calling herself selfish. Maybe she might have been like that in her first life however, she has since changed herself. Because look at how sincere the boy in front of her was. How could Euria be selfish when she saved these poor children's lives?
Eugene was in deep thoughts when suddenly, she remembered something very important.
"My apologies for not asking sooner, but what is your name?" She forgot her manners and demanded answers the moment she stepped into their home. How could she have not asked for their names before exchanging information with them? She didn't even ask when they drank tea together. She wanted to hit herself in the head so much and felt very embarrassed.
The youth smiled and replied, "My name is One."
"One?" Eugene nodded, "Thank you for helping me and my sister, One."
One smiled and nodded, "It is a given."

The Veria Estate
"Master!" One young butler rushed to the Veria couple with envelopes in his hand. His expression was one of delight as he bowed quickly to greet the couple before handing over the letters in his hands.
"Again?" Levis raised a brow. When Eugene left, he thought that she left because she wanted to save Euria herself. What he didn't think was that his dear daughter would send him letters twice a day.
Using these letters, he was able to keep tabs on her location and he knew that Eugene knew this. Oddly enough, the content in her letters would state her location anyway so he didn't have to investigate where this letter came from.
The letters two days ago contained her location at Herrow. There was information on Euria's location and their escape route. Everything Eugene found out, she passed on to him so that he could investigate as well. That letter also mentioned Ron who was with her as well as to investigate the person who had attacked Ron at the academy. That, Ron, was attacked by the organization.
"I left a green button in my room." This was another thing she mentioned in her letter that she wanted him to investigate. And from the investigation, like what Eugene thought, these buttons were uncommon and were made tailored. This means, if he were to get information on where and who made this, that information will expose some of Exitium's whereabouts.
There were more things Eugene told him to investigate into and that was bat carved golds, turquoise, and black spider tattoos, as well as black and turquoise birds. When Eugene mentioned the black and turquoise bird, he immediately made a connection to the messenger bird they found in Zene.
After they came back from Zene, he investigated immediately about black and turquoise birds, however, till today, the only information he got was that these birds were man-bred. The pro of this was that if they found where this bird was bred, they would be able to get to the organization. However, the con of this was that it was going to be a difficult ordeal. This was proved even more difficult with Euria's letter and mention of Occul Island. Because if he was right, the buttons and the odd messenger bird were made and bred in Occul Island.
Eugene's second letter came 7 hours after her first letter arrived. This time, the letter contained Eugene's contact with the guild as well as the information the guild gave her. The letter contained the organization's escape plan in which he, together with Clyde Akler, organized the knights to head to Lelips already. The Emperor also sent a letter to the King of Lelips in advance and forced for permission to allow their knights to enter Lelips for this plan.
Levis glanced at the letter in his hand before he turned to Moniqua who nodded at him to go do his thing. He rubbed Monqiua's back before walking back to his study room to read the letter he received. However, the moment his eyes landed on the letter, his eyes narrowed down and flashed dangerously. His eyes lingered at the part where Eugene mentioned the teleportation portal and mentioned that this was where Euria and her group were heading towards.
With no time to waste, he wrote 5 letters quickly using his left hand whilst simultaneously reading Eugene's letter with his right hand. At this moment, he could feel cold sweat dripping down from his forehead due to the severity of the situation. The reason why this situation was severe is that most of the knights have been deployed to every border of Xenperia, while the rest were deployed to head to Lelips and the harbor of Lelips.
And though Raden was in between Zene and Lelips, there exists a terrain between it, which means that the knights will not make it to Raden in time even if they came from Lelips.
There are some knights he could still deploy, however, there were not many. Of course, there was the military he could ask help from, however, it would also not amount to many soldiers because all the power to command the soldiers lay in the hands of the Commander of the Military who was currently traveling to Xenperia via sea. Of course, the number of knights and soldiers he could deploy wasn't too small, however, it was small considering that Raden was the base of the organization.
He quickly sealed the letter once it was dry and sent the letters he wrote to the Great Nobles as well as to the Emperor. Levis stood up and reached for his sword leaning against his working table however stopped. It would take him 2 days to reach Raden, which means it would take the knights or the soldiers 3-4 days to reach Raden due to the number of people traveling at the same time. From the sound of Eugene's letter, it would be too late by the time he, let alone the knights and soldiers arrived.
His fists were clenched tight as his eyes narrowed dangerously. His veins were visible from his forehead as he leaned on the table holding a dangerous look. Even if he wanted to go, even if it would've been too late, he still wouldn't be able to leave the estate. This fact alone brought devastation upon him.
The security in the Veria mountain was back up, however, only 20 percent of it was up. The knights he brought back from other areas he controlled in Xenperia had to be re-trained to match the security system of the Veria mountain. He couldn't allow a single slip-up or any hidden holes that can be exploited again. This included animals or insects that wanted to enter the mountain. This means he couldn't leave the estate even if he wanted to.
He would've been able to go if Moniqua was healthy but… she wasn't. Following the first letter Eugene sent, Moniqua had wanted to rush out to Herrow, however, he stopped her. He stopped her because even though she appeared to be fully healthy, the number of hours Moniqua had been spending in bed was alarming. She was constantly tired, and could only get out of bed for a few hours a day. In this state, he wouldn't be able to leave security here with her because she was in no position to overwork herself. And if he insisted on leaving, if there was a mishap with the security at the Veria mountain, it wasn't just his family that would fall, but the entire country that would tip over.
A pair of footsteps could be heard running in a rush in the corridor. Levis glanced up before the person reached his room and recomposed his emotions.
-KNOCK- -KNOCK-
"Come in," Levis said and watched as his head butler rushed in.
"Master, there is bad news…" The butler looked visibly stressed and anxious despite being the most experienced personnel in the House of Veria.
Levis furrowed his brow and motioned for the head butler to continue.
"Rumors have spread throughout the capital… No, it is estimated that the whole country will know of this rumor by the end of the day." The butler said very seriously, and continued, "There are rumors of the Duchess being stabbed and was left in a critical condition."
".... What?" Levis looked at the butler speechlessly. His composure was lost as all he could feel was anger, "Rumors of the Duchess being stabbed?"
The butler nodded.
"Why would there be a rumor of the Duchess being stabbed?" He muttered quietly to himself as his eyebrows furrowed. 'Was this the doing of the fallen nobles?' His eyes were narrowed down dangerously as his fists clenched tight.
"The origin of the rumor is unknown, but according to the servants, this is what has been going around town." The butler answered and looked at Levis straight in the eye. "What shall we do, Master?"
Levis said nothing for a few seconds before replying, "Send out a messenger to clarify the rumor.. The Duchess is safe and sound."
