Episode 241- Joining in Euria's fight with Elder

"By the way… Why are you covering your face?" Eugene asked as she glanced down at the Crown Prince robe covering his entire body. His hoodie was pulled down so much that not even a speck of his nick could be seen. 

"..." Crown Prince Nexiel could not tell her. He was afraid that she would tattletale to Euria. He wanted to leave the carriage to observe the situation because he was afraid of Euria's weird smile before she left. He didn't even realize that he had almost died. 

Eugene wanted to ask something else however, her eyes spotted Euria who was for some reason hovering in the sky. And that was how Crown Prince Nexiel was rescued without taking a  single injury. 

"But what does taking care of yourself and, as she insinuated, 'everyone' means?" She muttered loudly. Her eyes lowered and met Crown Prince Nexiel's eyes. 

"Oh." Eugene muttered, "Take care of her boyfriend?" The moment Crown Prince Nexiel heard Eugene's words, his eyes widened and he quickly jumped off of her arms. 

"W, whose boyfriend? She is but a child!" He refuted her and pointed at her while accusing her. However, all the response he got was an annoying smirk from Eugene whose facial expression showed, 'Yea. Yea.' 

"What boyfriend?" Louis walked behind Eugene without her knowing and she immediately jumped up. 

Eugene blinked, "Euria's future boyfriend." She said and motioned with her head towards the Crown Prince's direction. Well, all she knew was that the Crown Prince had a huge crush and fell in love with Euria the moment his eyes landed on her. She didn't know if Euria returned his feelings or not. 

"...Ah." Louis voiced. He didn't seem to care at all and moved his eyes away, specifically towards the direction Euria and Elsm were fighting at.

"Is it me or do I feel murderous intent on me?" Eugene said out of the blue. But though she said it out of the blue, she still felt sick to her stomach and felt as if someone was observing her. As if they were preying on her.

"It's what it is," Louis mumbled.

"What should we do?" Eugene turned to Louis and asked when all of a sudden she felt something heading towards her very fast. She turned and saw a red orb charging at her. 

Eugene without hesitation took her dagger out of her jacket and cut her palms, "SHIELD!" She shouted unconsciously. Not a second later, a wall of blood covered in front of her, just right before the red orb crashed.

The impact of the red orb that crashed into her was loud, so loud that they could feel their internal organs trembling. 

"What's this? You can use your abilities now?" A voice could be heard speaking a few meters above Eugene.

Eugene turned to the voice and blinked, "Female?" 

The person landed in front of Eugene with a raised brow and chuckled, "Well… technically."

"Oh." Eugene nodded and didn't say anything after that. Of course, her guards were up but to others and to Elsm, Eugene appeared as if the conversation she just had was boring and that she was too lazy to talk. It was very casual that everyone forgot that Elsm was an enemy. 

Elsm stared at Eugene for a minute before saying, "Your personality is very… different."

Eugene did not know how to respond to that. The her in her past life was different from the her of today. And this was because of what she had experienced in her former life. Hence, it wasn't weird if she was different. No, it wouldn't even be weird if she said that the Eugene the girl in front of her knows is not who she is today. 

The person in front of Eugene appeared to be in deep thought. As if she was deciding her fate when suddenly a flare could be heard going off in the sky. In the Veria household, Red means it is an emergency level two and that an intruder is in the vicinity. However in the Military, red means, they are being under attacked. 

Eugene turned around to the soldier who had just lit up the flare and her eyes widened when she saw who did it. It was Louis.

"SIster!"

Eugene snapped out of her thoughts and met eyes with Euria who was heading her way very fast.  There was a hint of alarm that Eugene could see from Euria's eyes, which made her instinctively react. 

She didn't know what to do hence she wished something not totally random, 'Enhance running. Shield.'

Her legs moved towards Louis' position, and very luckily blocked off Elsm who had followed after her. 

"!" Eugene was of course surprised that she had guessed right. The only reason why she moved just now wasn't that she thought that the child in front of her was going to kill Louis but because she was afraid of the look in Euria's eyes.

"I thought you 'killed' all the special children." Eugene insinuated to Euria who headed her way. 

After Eugene finished speaking, Elsm's face could be seen visibly twitching. There was annoyance on her face, and her glare was menacing that Eugene wanted to wish again for a thick shield to protect both herself and Louis; however, it was too late.

"Burn," Elsm muttered when all of a sudden a wave of blood began splashed all over Eugene and Louis who weren't able to react due to the speed difference. 

"Ugh." 

Eugene turned behind to the source of the voice and her eyes widened in shock. Louis trousers, shoes, and shirt, were disintegrated. Wherever the blood touched him, like acid it burns. Because she had turned to Louis, she could not react in time to Louis's warning and before she knew it, she was sent flying away. 

Her body crashed against one tree after the other and once she broke the 10th tree, she wished, "Shield!" Blood covered Eugene and safely guarded her against hitting the 10th tree. 

Eugene furrowed her eyebrows, 'Protect Louis from danger.' She wished and instantly a large amount of blood flowed out of her body and headed towards Louis. It was the same with Elsm who ordered an attack on Louis. 

2 red waves of blood crashed against one another, and these two impacts caused everyone who was in the vicinity of the blood to fly away. This included Louis, but he was unharmed because a small amount of Eugene's blood protected him from falling.

"Heal him." Eugene wished for her blood to heal Louis and she immediately ran in Euria's direction. Her left hand reached for her inner jacket. 

In the corner of her eyes, she saw that the girl was also running in Euria's direction. Eugene and Euria made eye contact and in unison ordered and wished for the same thing. 

"CONTAIN HER"

A wave of blood as well as a wind of air arrived quickly in front of Elsm and covered her completely. 

Very quickly, Eugene grabbed a fire-making tool from one of the soldier's hands and lit up the bomb gourd in her left hand before throwing it to the air, to the blood orb both herself and Euria made. 

"PROTECT YOUR EARS!" She shouted loudly to Euria and to everyone around them when all of a sudden a huge explosion could be heard inside Eugene's and Euria's combined Occul that contained the girl. 

Eugene arrived by Euria's side while observing the orb with expectations. She hoped that she dealt enough damage to possibly kill the person. However soon, her heart fell to her stomach when she saw the girl walk out of the black smoke alive. 

"...Shit. Who the hell is this zombie?" Eugene cussed as she stared at the girl in disarray. It's not that there was no damage, and thank god there was. But it just wasn't enough. 

"Elsm, the elder. Leader of Exitum." Euria replied, her sight never leaving the person in front.

"..." Eugene turned back to the girl whose age was only a few years older than them, who for some reason did not wear any shoes. She thought that the girl in front of her was her age due to their similarity in height. 

"What?" She turned back to Euria and stared at her with suspicion in her eyes! 'That's the leader of Exitum?! Shouldn't it be some evil-looking guy?!?!" She thought but didn't say it out loud. The girl in front of her was too attractive! She was already attractive even though she was young! What happened to an old evil man she imagined this whole time?

Eugene turned back to Elsm and gulped. 'No wonder my attacks are weak on her. It's because she's the leader of the food chain!' 

"... I did not expect any physical attacks that could damage me," Elsm said as she wiped her face from the gunpowder that had exploded on her.

"That was a good one." Elsm smiled. 

Eugene gulped. So her bomb did work…. "How much power does she have? Will we be able to last against her?" Eugene turned to Euria and asked quickly. 

Euria bit her lips as if she didn't want to face the truth but broke it out to Eugene, "She went back in time before us and was able to heal herself…" Euria didn't exactly answer Eugene's question, however, her answer was enough for Eugene to know that they were doomed.
