Episode 39 - Assassination at the Royal Palace 9 'Even if I die'
"Now young master!"
Aeselak shouted once everyone's guards were completely down against them. Pushing Ramon up, she shouted in a voice only he could hear.
"Please don't look back no matter what!"
Feeling a sudden rush of adrenaline, the young child whom everyone had forgotten about, ran with all his might in the direction of the Imperial Garden! With Aeselak's persuasion and encouragement, he resolved himself and took a sprint. He won't stop and will hold on until he gets help! If he can't manage to do that.. everyone will...
'No! Don't think! RUN!'
.....
Meanwhile, 5 meters away from Aeselak
Not willing to let the man capture the Crown Prince, Ron stubbornly stood in front of Ren. Not budging or moving from his spot even though he had no strength left to move a finger, let alone defend himself.
"Then die."
Walking closer to the two naive children, the left side of his thin lips tugged upwards creating a sinister smirk on his face. Raising his legs up high, higher than Ron's height, he was about to stomp it down when all of a sudden, in the corner of his eyes, something flashed by really fast! Following his vision, he saw a red hair child escaping! Realizing something was wrong, he quickly turned around just to find the old man still kneeling at the same spot! Not even noticing that a kid had escaped!
In a rage, he quickly turned behind him and roared at his useless accomplice.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"
"Wha…"
Feeling blood rushing to his head from the unresponsive man, blue veins protruding at the corner of his depicting his fury, he violently yelled again,
"THE DAMN KID FUCKING ESCAPED! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?"
In shock, the old man sharply turned behind him, just to find the young girl alone, with no other kids at sight! Also.. When did they get far away from him?
"Wha.."
"Ramon!"
"Young master?"
Louis and Aedelak shouted in surprise! Where did he find the courage and the right timing to escape?
"!!" (Crown Prince Ren)
"!!" (Ron Graeme)
"GO AFTER THE DAMN FlIPPING RAT!!"
Pointing at the redhead who was now over 20 meters away, he screamed! Seeing the man still not running after the kid, he felt an intense urge of heading over to the old man and strangle the fuck out of him!
"Huh?…Uhh.."
Scrambling his way up from the ground, he was about to take a step towards the direction of the red-haired kid, when the young girl suddenly stood in his way, blocking him from going after the kid.
Seeing the tense and an afraid expression on the younger girl, he only lightly shoved her to the side. Yet although she looked very weak and afraid of him, he underestimated her resolve as her feet were deeply planted into the ground, not moving an inch.
"Move please!" He begged, not wanting to use more strength on the girl in front of him.
"I don't want to hurt you!"
Seeing the girl, possible under the age of 10, standing firm, brought the hidden tender feelings towards children from deep inside him. He too, has a daughter! Although she has now gone far away to elope with a man…
But! He still did not want to hurt the child in front of him!
Seeing the old man fiddling around playing push and pull, he scoffed. What bullshit was the old man doing? Now that he knows his daughter being 'captured' was utter bullcrap, he can't hurt the kids anymore?
In a threatening voice, the young man warned him,
"If you don't stop that kid, and he manages to find help, be prepared for you and your entire kin to be executed! The reason why! You know well.."
With nothing holding him back from hurting the young girl anymore,
"MOVE IT!" He harshly shoved Aeselak into the ground!
'What young child?'
He cursed, all ration snapping and disappearing like dust. Why would he sacrifice his whole family, just because of a single damn child? His family was his sky, his everything. What was more important than that?
"NOO!!"
Crawling towards his shoes, she firmly held him down, using her whole body weight to stop him. There was no way she was going to let this man go after young master Ramon! Although she doesn't have any stamina to run and call for help, she has more than enough strength to hold the man here, long enough for the young master to call for help!
"Aeselak" Holding down her breath, Aedelak firmly clenched her fists, digging her fingernails into her palms, understanding what Aeselak was doing.
'So it was your idea..'
"You!" In anger, he reached down and yanked her hair aggressively! Pulling out a handful of hair in the process. Even then she didn't budge! Shaking her off him was also impossible! She wouldn't let go!
"No.. way"
Gritting through the pain, she held on, refusing to yield! This was the only thing she could do! She was not smart like Aedelak. So the only way to overcome the differences between her sister and her was to sacrifice herself physically!
"Ae.."
Her younger sister was someone who normally can't tolerate the slightest bit of pain. Yet at this moment, when she would have normally cried from pain, not a single cry for help was uttered from her. She was just holding it in, unwilling to succumb to pain!
Feeling her heart being clenched really tightly from the sight of her sister being beaten down, she no longer held in her usual composure and screamed, "AESELAK!"
'Why? Why did you have to choose today, of all days, to grow up?!'
Biting her lips from the unfathomable pain in her chest, she screamed! Screamed inside her head! Mad at her sister for sacrificing herself and mad at herself for being unable to help!
'.….'
She herself was someone who wasn't cold, but also someone who wasn't warm either. She was someone who strictly obeys all rules. But Aeselak on the other hand was warm, someone who loved breaking the rules, getting away by acting cheekily! Because of this, every time Aedelak sees Aeselak, she would always frown, always telling Aeselak off on her not-so-proper behavior. But that was until the twins were born a few months ago. Ever since then, she appreciated each and every moment Aeselak and herself shared together. Maybe it was because Euria was in a way similar to Aeselak, and herself was in a way similar to Eugene that she felt a sense of nostalgia. Wanting to bond with Aeselak just like how Euria and Eugene bond with one another.
No longer being able to hold back, she immediately abandoned her responsibility, taking a step towards Aeselak.
