Episode 51 - The Emergency Assembly 3 END 'Least to Critical Patients 3'
"Currently the most critical patients are Lord Ron Graeme and Miss Aeselak."
Finishing his sentence, the Imperial Physician carefully glanced towards the Graeme family and the head maid of the Veria family.
"Lord Ron Graeme has severe internal injuries. With half of his rib cage collapsed and broken. An emergency operation must be commenced as soon as possible. The success rate of Lord Ron Graeme's surgery is 70% without any life difficulties."
Pausing while taking a deep breath in, he continued,
"We can not say for sure if Lord Ron's broken ribs have damaged his blood vessels or not, but judging by how Lord Ron is still conscious, we can guarantee that he will be able to live, with an extensive amount of recovery period and care. After the operation, he will need 2 full months of rest, and another 4 months of only light movements. After half a year, he will be able to continue on with his activities as-per normal."
"My son"
Feeling her heart tightly clenched from the amount of pain her son must've and must still go through, Adele Graeme collapsed backward, Irvin Graeme catching her fall.
She was usually a very strong woman, one who loved purposefully annoying people. However she at this moment, she felt as if her world was on the bridge of collapsing. Like her son can just disappear at any moment, even with the Imperial Physicians guarantee.
"Dear…"
Lightly stroking Adele's back, Irvin consoled her. Although he was going through the same emotional turmoil as his wife, he had to keep it together as the head family. Also putting all his faith and trust in the physicians and his son!
"Caretaker Aeselak.."
Sighing for his last, most critical patient, he didn't want to start. His report was full of injuries and potential damage.
Taking a deep breath, and then exhaling sharply, he reported,
"Miss Aedelak suffers from an excessive amount of head trauma and is currently in a coma. One of the most dangerous kinds of injury in relation to the body and also one that is the most unknown and uncovered in the medical field. We don't know the extent of how damaged her brain is.."
"....."
"Aeselak…"
Gasping at the imperial report, tears continuously fall out of Sara's eyes. Her body slighting quivering, despair filling up her heart.
However before she could break down, the physician intervene,
"However! What we do know was that Miss Aeselak was still able to converse with Miss Aedelak and was conscious for a while after. From that, we can determine that her memories will be as is even after waking up from a coma."
Yet, even after relieving the head maid for a little bit, the physician still has more bombs to drop, continuing guilty,
"Aside from her head trauma, her whole body is…. completely covered in bruises and cuts. She has severe internal bleeding in her chest, however, not a single bone is broken. Although no scar would remain, she might not be able to be as fit physically as she previously was. Working in the future would be difficult, and she is not likely to be able to …. conceive a child when she reaches her marriage age."
One daughter might not be able to marry because of a scar, and the other, completely not being able to marry because her body is infertile; the doctor can't help but feel incredibly regretful for the Head maid.
The era they were in, was strict in regard to females and marriages. You can say, one of the most essential accomplishments in a woman's life is to get married and produce as many offspring as they could. Without one or the other, your life would be considered worthless.
Yet, marriage was not something important to Head Maid Sara. What does it matter to her if her daughters can't get married, their lives were of the utmost importance! Although yes, it is a pity, she was more concerned over Aeselak's head injury, body injuries, and her comatic state.
"Miss Aeselak will not be in a long coma, her deep sleep will last up to half a year. That is all we know, for now, however, it is very advised that someone talks to her daily to stimulate her inner awareness. Families, closed ones, or any familiar voice will help Miss Aeselak recover faster."
Taking a moment to register all the information, Relief filled her heart. Yes, that was all Sara needed. As long as her daughter will wake up, she will do anything.
Mutually glancing at each other, she softly assured Moniqua she was alright.
"Is she guaranteed to wake up doctor"
Moniqua firmly asked one last time.
"Yes. Seeing as she did not lose consciousness immediately after her head trauma, and was still able to converse even after arriving at the ward, she will wake up. "
"Alright. Make sure you follow your every word and put all your time and care into ensuring everyone's health, especially those in critical conditions. After the ordeal is over, we will reward you greatly."
The King concluded, allowing the physician to go ahead and go back to work.
"Blessing and many thanks to the Emperor of Xenperia"
Bowing, he headed out to the emergency ward, preparing for the surgeries. It was not because he was driven by the Emperor's reward, but because of his care towards children.
Yes, the Imperial physicians were the best of the best in Xenperia, and if he did not know the end results, he would not be able to be where he was now. However, he also knew, concluding one's recovery before even healing them was not the ideal medical procedure. Yet it was still something he had to do. To follow through with his words, but also giving the minimum relief to the parents of the children.
Knock knock-
"His Royal Highness Crown Prince Ren, Lord Ramon, Lady Eugeneia, and Lady Euria has arrived!"
Loudly announcing the arrival of the children, the guard took a step to the side.
"Let them in"
The Empress answered, and with that 4 children came in. Ramon carried Eugene and Euria who were both wide awake.
Empress Lilithesia asked without waiting for Ramon's greeting.
"Blessing and glory to the Emperor and Empress of Xenperia"
Ramon bowed carefully, holding the twins, before replying,
"They have just woken up, and need not sleep for a while, your Majesty."
"Oh.. Alright"
Watching Ramon with his knees and head bandaged up, walking up to Moniqua and Levis, and then comparing his injuries with her son, she sighed.
"Since you are alright, you should tell us what happened from the start."
The Emperor motioned for Crown Prince Ren to talk.
"Yes, your majesty father"
Not leaving out any detail, Crown Prince Ren started explaining what happened in great detail. From him entering the waiting hall of the Veria Family, the babies coughing soon after, Louis made the decision to escape through the window, running, the 'Princess' catching him, Ron protecting him, Aeselak making a crucial decision to sacrifice herself to let Ramon run, Aernest being hidden by Aeselak, Aedelak persistent in guarding Louis, his and Louis joint attack, Aedelak final moves, and the man grabbing the twins.
He only stopped when he had given up all the details of what happened.
"I believe without Miss Aeselak's quick decision in letting Ramon escape, and Aedelak bringing the culprits down, we would not have survived. Due to their intelligence and decision, we were all able to get out of there alive. But ultimately, without everyone's cooperation, we all might not have made it back alive. Without any regard to their lives, they all protected me and let me off without barely any injuries."
Taking a deep breath while announcing his resolve towards the future, he continued,
"I want to be stronger, strong enough to not be protected, but fight alongside them. Your Majesty Emperor and Empress, please reward them greatly, and please... help them all recover."
Never in his life had the Crown Prince called his parents by their official titles and never in his whole life had he bowed down deeply.
It was desperation and guilt that moved his body. The whole situation happened because he was weak, and was protected the whole time...
Some Crown Prince he was...
"Ha…"
Duke Clyde Akler and Duke Amos Rodriguez sighed.
It wasn't that they weren't strong, they were all very strong! To work together and yet all still make it out alive without the culprits accomplishing their goals was already beyond astounding!
"Everyone deserves to be honored"
Earnest Marleigh spoke. Reluctant to just let this matter go and keep it hidden.
In fact, everyone came to the same conclusion. All their children; some whom they regard as nephews have all done so well.
"You have such loyal servants Duke Veria"
The Emperor can't help but compliment the Veria family.
"Many thanks, Your Majesty"
Duke Veria answered, and then directing the compliment to someone who deserves it more, he continued,
"It was our head maid who raised up Aeselak and Aedelak to be who they are today"
Of course, this also shocked Sara, as she never knew both her children could and would be that strong even when facing great dangers!
"We would like to give all our thanks to you all for protecting our son and will extend our thanks again when everyone is fully healed. You will all be greatly rewarded and honored then."
The Emperor stood up along with the Empress, and as for his and her next actions, which scared the world out of the attendants, but also following along; bowed to everyone in the audience.
He shouldn't let his son beat him, for what he should have done right from the start… right?

'The king is a wise king'
Eugene can't help but acknowledge this King of this world. Not even the Prime minister of her former country would be this grateful if this happened to them.
Taking a short breath, Eugene also did not expect the full story to turn out this way. She was incredibly safeguarded by Louis and Aedelak that she was mostly ignorant of the things that conspired. Never thinking it was more severe than what she already saw and knew.
Hearing this made her think about the future once again, and like the Crown Prince, she wants to be stronger. Cross that, she wants to be strong. To live and survive in this world, this is a must.
Strong so that she does not have to be protected, and be ignorant if something does happen in the future. She will not be and is not being, used to being protected. It was unbelievable that even a 7-month-old Aernest, had protected her.
Therefore from this moment onward, everything she will do is to get stronger and give back all she owes to people who protected her.
