Chapter 84: Custody

Elena smiled as she checked her face in the mirror. There were smudges of lipstick on her face which she wiped off.

Nobody would guess that beneath the coat she was currently wearing that she was almost naked. It was a birthday gift. It was Chike's birthday and she wanted to spice things up.

She had seen it in movies numerous times, where a girl shows up at her boyfriend's house wearing a coat but utterly naked inside and she wasn't as crazy as Mckenna but she thought she would give it a try.

It was almost six in the evening and she drove from her house to Chike's apartment without calling him first. It wouldn't be a surprise if she did.

When she got there, his gateman told her Chike was inside.

Elena entered his house using her key, he wasn't in the sitting room or the gym. The only place that made sense was the bedroom, which worked out great for her.

When she entered the bedroom, it was a little bit dark. The curtain was close and the lightbulb was off.

But she could see a figure on the bed...it was the man she loved.

"Happy birthday, Sugar! Are you ready to unwrap your gift?"

The figure stirr and turned around "Huh?"

Oh hell! It wasn't like Chike to fall asleep on his birthday for no reason at all.

She slowly unbuttoned the coat and held it open.

"Switch on the light and find out!" Elena said in a seductive voice.

The figure reached for the light switch and suddenly, it was no longer dark.

Elena closed her eyes as she waited for Chike to say something.

"What do you think?" She asked.

The door opened and someone came inside.

"Elena, what are you doing?" It was Chike's voice but somehow it was behind her.

Elena turned around to see her boyfriend standing behind her.

"Wait, if you are standing behind me then who am I showing my body to-" She quickly turned around and looked at the bed. 

A pair of curious brown eyes stared back at her.

"Nice boobs!"

"Oh my God! Ahhhhh!" Elena screamed on top of her voice. Chike rushed to help her button her clothes while Jason grinned like a drunk tortoise on the bed.

"You have a really nice body, Elena. I am flattered but I am taken also" Jason tried to suppress his amusement.

"Jason saw me naked! What is he doing on your bed?!" She yelled at Chike, who opened his mouth severally but no word came out.

"Excuse me, I have to find a cliff and jump off of it"

"She is hot! I see why you want to marry her" Jason said. He was having the time of his life.

"Jason, shut up. You're making everything worse!" Chike yelled at him.

"Why are you yelling at me? I didn't do anything" Jason said out loud 

Elena turned and walked away, Chike tried to follow her but she told him to leave her alone

"Chike, do not follow me. I am going to go find a soap and wash my eyes"

Elena entered the guest room and dialed McKenna's number.

"Hi, Ellie"

"Your husband just saw me naked!" Elena blurted out almost immediately.

"Ok-ay. What was his reaction?" Mckenna said casually.

"He said nice boobs!" 

"Well, he didn't lie. You have world class boobs" Mckenna answered with a laugh.

"Wait! Why aren't you freaking out?" Elena asked her.

"Oh he sent me a text. He texted 'hey, I saw Elena's boobs FYI it wasn't intentional" 

"What did you text back?" Elena asked her.

"I said cool. Don't worry, he will eventually come around to apologize to you" Mckenna reassured her.

"What's going on? He is always here. Tell him to go home. I need to have sex with my fiance" Elena demanded

"I am staying out of it. I have the entire house to myself since I dropped Kara at her classmate's house. Jason is your problem, I am afraid" Mckenna hung up.

Elena splashed water on her face. What a great help her best friend was?!

She walked back into the bedroom. Jason and Chike were still there.

"Are you alright?" Chike asked her 

"Jason, in exactly two minutes I am going to take my coat off again" Elena said but Jason stared at her blankly "get out!!" 

"Oh yeah, of course" Jason stood up the bed and walked out trying to hide a laugh.

"Baby, I am really sorry" Chike apologized to her.

"This is the third time you've blown me off to spend time with Jason!"

"He is my best friend"

"I am the one you have sex with!" She reminded him.

Elena took off the coat and dropped it on the bed 

"You are sexy!" Chike said but it only got him a stern stare from Elena.

She opened the wardrobe and grabbed one of his shirts and wore it.

"He is always here even on weekends" 

"I am his only friend Elena" Chike replied.

"I am not getting anywhere with you, Chike. You are not the one I am supposed to be having this conversation with" Elena walked out.

She entered the sitting room and she found Jason on the couch watching TV.

She switched it off.

"We need to talk" 

"I am not leaving. We always spend his birthday together drinking beer and watching TV. I see no reason that should change" Jason replied.

Chike came out holding a cup of ice cream. He has decided to stay out of it.

"He is engaged to me"

"I saved his life when some secret spy rogue agent tried to kill him" Jason quipped. Chike started coughing. Jason was about to blow his secret.

He gave him a look.

"Yeah right because he is Chris Helmwort" Elena said. She didn't believe Jason.

"Okay, let's talk Custody" Jason told her.

"I am not sharing my boyfriend with you, Jason" Elena said with an outrageous look on her face.

"If we are going to keep seeing him then there should be a rule" Jason said with a raised eyebrow. "Without rules, people call your wife in the middle of the night to talk about soap operas and hot Asian guys. Do you think I like it when you keep my wife so late in the night with your girlie talk? I don't complain. I don't see why you should"

Elena turned around to look at Chike

"Talk to your friend. Tell him how outrageous his suggestion is" 

"I can't. He is making sense. We need rules" Chike shrugged.

"Fine. You can have him on Thursdays, Jason" 

"No, I want Mondays and Fridays, we can alternate every other weekend" Jason countered.

"Chike, are you planning on saying something about this?" Elena asked him.

"Nope. I am staying out of it" Chike shoved more ice cream into his mouth.

"Fine. You can Mondays and Fridays. No weekend, I get him on the weekends" 

Jason stood up.

"No, that won't work for me. But I am willing to take four hours on Sunday and three hours on Saturday" Jason countered.

"I see we are at a standoff then. I won't accept" Elena told him as she stared at him.

"You guys need a mediator" Chike suggested to them "Someone that is fair and firm. Sounds like Amazing Donna"

Jason took out his phone and dialed his sister in law's number.

"Hey Amazing!" Jason told her what was going on and asked for her verdict.

"You guys still remember that I am recovering from a trauma, right?" Amazing asked them.

"And I was shot. Just give the verdict already" Jason said with an air of irritation.

"Can't Chike resolve this?" Amazing asked

"Jason is opinionated and stubborn just like Elena...and baby, I love you" Chike quickly added.

"Just give the verdict, Amazing. My fiance is wuss" Elena turned to Chike "I said wuss with all the love in the world"

Amazing exhaled.

"This is a tough call. I am making my own rules. Jason can have him on Mondays and Fridays...and on Saturday by 6pm to have him back to you before 10pm-" Amazing hardly finished talking when both of them spoke up 

"I want him on his birthday!" Jason and Elena yelled.

"Can't you share?" Amazing asked.

"No!" They both insisted.

"Fine. Sorry Jason, Elena gets him on his birthday. She is the one with the boobs. You can have him a day after, even if it's not your day. Now, play nice with each other, mommy has to sleep" Amazing said playfully.

"The same rules apply to my wife, right?" Jason suggested.

"No! I always go clubbing with Mckenna on her birthdays. That will not change" Elena said immediately.

"Learn to share or it's the same rule, Elena" Amazing told her.

"Okay, we can both have them on their birthdays but a heads up would be nice before I flash my boobs for you to see next time" Elena brought out her hand for a shake.

"Deal" Jason shook it. "Thanks, Amazing"

"You all are crazy, I swear" Amazing said and hung up.
