Fancy words, fancy words.. what does affiliation mean again?
"Your Highness. We are but wanders that stumbled across this world, unsuited to be deemed heroes. That is the basis of our situation," Liliath replied.. it's a half-lie?
"I see.. then could I ask for your strength when the time comes? War is upon us, I'm sure the empire would gladly accept any assistance we could find," Siesta smiled.. She's like smiling the whole time. It's scary. She's different from yesterday when her emotions of fear leaked through.
"It will depend. I cannot say for certain we would lend help."
"Heeh.. I thought this is where we ask for compensation or something?" Nine leaned over and whispered.
"It would only cause even more problems wouldn't it? Just watch and see what happens I guess," I whispered back.
"Your Highness, do you know how to operate the messaging system? You can use that to contact us at any time."
"What is that?" Siesta tilted her head.
"That would be a panel like this. Could you bring it up?"
Then Liliath went on to explain how to use it-- it seems she was able to open multiple panels at once, which is great. And contrary to Nine's expectations, it seems Unknown really made a different keyboard for inhabitants of this world.. or is it that the language here turned to English? I have no idea.
"Please keep our existence a secret from His Majesty."
"Understood."
Liliath exchange a few more words, teaching Siesta to use some of the functions of the messaging system among other things, and with everything settled we cut off the call. Then we continued on with breakfast that had-- turned cold.
"Two main agendas right? How about we talk about our Unique Skills. Why is it that my status window is different from everyone elses?" Nine returned to her seat after grabbing a glass of water.
"How different is it from everyone else's?" Liliath asked
"Yeah. Prune, Noel and your statuses are the same type. Liliath's level is 84 for some reason while Noel and Prune's level is undefined."
"Maybe it's because your status window is the advanced kind? I remember hearing Unknown say that he didn't want us to have a status window," Prune said.
"What if mine is the heroes' kind of status window but the rest of you have the normal kind?" Nine contemplated as she stared at her own status window.
"How come 84 is my level? I don't remember doing anything to increase the value," Liliath asked, confused.
"Your health is around 5000-6000, but your mana is in the 5-digits, look."

"Liliath Bougainvillea?"
"What the.."
"D-Deaar..?"
"NO LILIATH, WE'RE TOO YOUNG FOR THAT!!"
We would have to run a few tests on Nine's Unique Skill and examine how it affects our statuses but let's put that aside for now. From the guide, the stats on the status window don't reflect an arithmetic increase in strength, but rather, it serves as more of a multiplier.
10 points is x1, 20 points is x2. So if someone had 50 points of strength, his strength is 5 times the base. That is taking the initial strength of the individual into account.
One person can have 100 points in strength but if the individual doesn't train his body, his strength could be weaker than a hunter who only has 50 points.
Same goes with mana-- or MP and the other stats. The internal mana pool is multiplied, not increased uniformly. That's why not everyone is suited to become a mage-- there's a distinct separation between normal warriors and mages.
And if anyone is curious as to why vitality isn't 100 percent? That's because it's a reflection of our general condition, the percentage fluctuates even if we don't do anything. At least, that was what Nine said.
Moving on to Prune's TALENT, it seems she can't tether her system to the rest of our systems. From the guide, only Prune can access the house. And there's only one door so if say Nine was in another continuent, Prune can't open a door on his side and enter, there's a limit to the range. Enough said.
Prune also has a bunch of upgrades she can add to the house, but it's rather costly and the points required are the shared points that we also use in the normal UI shop.
Which leads me to the next thing to address.
This world's lack of diseases. Noted in the guide.
What it means is that infectious diseases are rare, microorganisms in this world are unable to survive in this mana-hypertonic world. Not to mention, the God of Disease is looking out from above to manage the prevention of epidemics. That doesn't mean epidemics don't happen but it's that it happens once in a blue moon.
This explains why one can go hunting and incur wounds without dying by disease-- also why Liliath almost died in my world, and what's more confusing is how our gut bacteria is going to affect the microbial ecosystem.. hopefully Bleu or Unknown did something about it, probably-- since we died and had our bodies reconstructed at the molecular level
I still don't know how exactly Imagi's social system works but I'm basing most of my theory off the typical isekai novels. I may be wrong.
Now then, about leaving the royal courtyard, Liliath is going to find a random person out in the capital city and pick a location to teleport us to. As for our plans-- let's just call it sight seeing for now.
The amount of gold we got from Unknown was about 21, with a few other coins. It came in a nice cute bag. From Liliath's explanation, the currency here is based on the weight of exchange, whatever that means.
We have your typical copper, big copper, silver, big silver, gold, and platinum coins, but there wasn't a platinum coin in the money bag Unknown gave us so I don't know what it looks like yet.
I won't go into detail on how much 21 gold is worth in dollars since I'm sure there's no point wasting time on that for now, so let's get on with our escape shall we?
"Let's go to the adventurer's guild. I want to register myself," Nine said.
The four of us, wearing fantasy-style common clothes, came out of a random door in the wilderness. Prune and Nine wore the mantle that had a heat retaining barrier, Liliath and I didn't need it. The wall from the day before towered before us, some light snow was falling from the sky.
Darn, this really is fantasy huh? The air tastes different. In a sense.. no city pollution and stuff in the air.
Prune locked the door behind her-- for some reason-- and it disappeared as if being sucked into a black hole.
I tried expanding my map but couldn't really understand the blocks of houses. It seems beyond here is the noble's sector? The walls are built in circles and are divided into 3 segments. Liliath has to teleport us past the 2nd segment straight to the 3rd, where the commoners live.
"It's snowing," Prune brought her hand out.
"Speaking of snowing, did you know it's Liliath's birth season?" I asked.
"Hm? Birthday season?"
"Apparently, in Imagi, they don't have birth-days, they use birth-season. And Liliath's birth season is winter," I said, patting her head. "Happy birth season Liliath."
So fucking terminology. Happy birth season, Happy birth season.. it's such a weird way to wish someone a happy birthday.
"Happy birthday Liliath Bougainvillea--" Nine went on to say it the wrong way. Fuck you.
"Happy birthseason Liliath.. sorry I didn't realize," Prune said.
"It's alright, thank you," Liliath smiled wryly.
"Okay then, let's go celebrate Lililiath's birth season while enjoying ourselves, good idea yes?"
"Yup. Maybe find somewhere nice to eat. Guild buildings have restaurants there too right?"
"I believe so. Please stand close, I'll be evoking my magic now," Liliath said, Nine and Prune took a step closer to Liliath.
Red light appeared below us, citing the start of Liliath's teleportation.
At that very moment, I saw something bright flicker from above us together. Nine tossed a projectile to intercept it..
The teleportation activated, a boom resounded and we appeared at a shaded alley.
"What was that..?"
It happened so fast, I couldn't tell what had happened.
"That was stupid.." Nine fell to her knees, clutching her chest.
"Wow..wowow.. are you alright?"
"That was-- the sentinel?" Liliath said in surprise.
"I'm good, just to catch my breath-- damn that was amazing," Nine got up laughing. "It's alright Liliath, luckily you didn't stop your teleportation."
So what happened was that the rainbow sentinel above the wall fired condensed magic at us the moment Liliath activated her teleportation. Nine, with her stupidly high stats, managed to pull out a knife from her inventory, and intercepted the projectile.
Yup, I totally forgot about the inventory function.
If anything, from what Nine said, the knife did nothing, the explosion was the knife being eaten up. It was Liliath who managed to teleport us in time before the projectile struck us, that got us out of the situation.
Gosh. That's intense.
Everyone taking a breath of cold air, we looked towards the light, people going to and from, a carriage that wasn't pulled by a horse rather, an engine?
"Let's go!" Nine shouted.
"Watch where you're shouting, young girl!"
A lady who was hanging her clothes above, her neck stretched out the window of one of the windows yelled out to us.
"Sorry!"
And I just noticed that the top part of the alley had a lot of clothing lines hanging from between the buildings. Yup, better get outta here, I'm seeing pieces of clothes I shouldn't be seeing.
