‘That guy must have used some strong poison. I’ve attached the video file. He’s already aware that she’s a demon lord, then it’s possible he was trying to kill her too’

‘Got it. Thanks.’

“Elixir huh..”

The demon lord’s health was now at 52%. A high fever, her breathing pace was a mess, her horns were pulsing in a deep purple, different from the typical red, and she was sweating profusely.

No choice then.

How much was elixir back then? 500 points? I don’t remember. The smallest vial here that I’m seeing is 600 points. 

Was there any reason to save this demon lord? I have no idea. I feel like the only reason why we’re spending points on her is because of our conscience. 

I pulled out the bought elixir from my inventory.

Prune slept on the floor with a pillow she got from her own room, her body wrapped around in a blanket.

Maybe I should pull a blanket over the demon lord too? She looks rather pitiful just laying there like that. Actually, once her condition stabilizes I can bring her back to her room? We can’t just let her stay here.. but she’s a demon lord though. Would she go wild?

I raised her head slightly using my hands and had her lean against the headrest of the couch..

Her hair was silky, though slightly more coarse than Liliath’s. 

She had a rather sharp look to her.. in fact, not that I’ve seen her face up close, she’s like that Touh*u character from N*ght of Nigh*s.

Pry open her lips..

I couldn’t help but question myself. 

Why didn’t I dare to touch her lips, even if it’s my fingers?

Ugh.. damn it. Is this resonance?

After becoming a demon lord, I’ve not really met anyone that really ‘attracted’ me besides Liliath. To me, every other girl in the world paled in comparison to her overflowing  cuteness and beauty.

That was being challenged.. 

I shut off my emotions and with two fingers, pushed her mouth open and dropped two drops of the elixir.

And at a really fast rate too. Elixir is OP. I decided to keep the rest in the inventory. For now.. I better go wash off her saliva from my hand.

There was a tug on my clothes. Something grabbed me from behind.

Man.. demon lords really don’t sleep do they? By the way, before I forget. I’ve changed the stack from 20 sleep spells in one go to 4. I heard that the adventurer I used [Absolute End] last time took 3 days to wake up.. which was an absolute nightmare.

Learning from that, I reduced the potency. I don’t want people to die because of prolonged coma.

“Just get some rest. I’ll come back in a bit.”

Her hands loosened, and I was let free. I paid a short visit to the sink before coming back to attend her.

She sat up, leaning against a cushion. Her silver eyes glanced around in curiosity. Her gaze then paused on me. There was that red glint in her eyes, just like Liliath. I guess that’s how demon lords recognize each other without showing their horns.

Oh yeah.

“You can remove those horns now.”

“Horns?” She touched her head.. and froze.

I remained silent.

“U-Uh… I-I don’t mean any harm.. I..” a shadow casted over her eyes, she looked down. 

“Quick question, you’re a demon lord right?”

“I don’t know.”
“Right.. so the reason why you were in front of the door just now was because of?”

“I don’t know..”
Welp. She’s not speaking.

Actually, do we have all the info in line? She’s going to be alright right? Actually, there’s one important question I have to ask.

“Do you know demon lord Javiel?”

“Demon lord Javiel? I-I don’t know him.. are you not.. deterred?”

“Noel-n..” Of all days that my ears were perfectly attuned to pick up whispers, I somehow missed what she said.

A trail of tears ran down her cheeks.

“Nii-san..” she faced me with teary eyes, an expression full of sorrow. My heart felt like it’s going to break.. the fuck is this feeling.

“Time out. Time out. I’m not your brother and you're not my sister. Liliath also isn’t your sister. She’s my wife, that's what it is alright?”

“Huh?” the demon lord stared at me with a weird expression.

And I think I saw Prune’s ears twitch for a moment. Definitely not my imagination.

“Let’s just confirm this. There’s no reason to kill me anymore right?”
“N-No..”
“Okay. Just act as if nothing happened and return to your room. It’s the room together with July-sama and April-sama right? “

“Y-Yes.. you’re correct.”
“Remove your horns and follow me.”
“Y-Yes..”

And then when I was about to turn around, she held the hem of my clothes again. Really… I’m not in the mood for this. So I tore off her grip by force and walked to the door.

“Ah, Noel, what’s going on inside?” Jennifer-chan asked.
“Nothing really.. could you two turn around, close your eyes and ears for a moment.

“There’s definitely something fishy going on..” Gabriel mulled.

“That’s why I’m telling you to do that.”

“No. No. NO. I want to know what you're up to, if not, I'll report it to security.”

“Gabriel-chan..” Jennifer-chan admonished.
“What?”

“C-Can I come out.. now?”
Too late..

To that voice, Jennifer-chan and Gabirel turned my way-- to her-- the demon lord. Though, she removed her horns so that’s relieving.

“Nevermind. I’ll just bring her back for a bit,”

“Hey?! Who is that?!”

The demon lord bow and-- oi, it’s not the time to introduce yourself.

I opened the door out into the hallway and checked the map. Her room is on the same floor but on the other side.

“Rinalanashina-sama,” man.. her name is hard to pronounce. By the way, I just remembered that she’s a Margrave’s daughter so the -sama is the right honorific here.

“Y-yEs?!” she replied back with her back straight.

“You know where’s your own room right?”
“Yes I do?”
I pushed the door open wider.

“T-Then I will take my leave.. thank you for helping me..” she bowed. And left.. or not. She turned to me, an expression as if she had just eaten a bug, “I’m sorry..”
Then she left.

I yawned. What time is it already? I don’t think I ate a lot for dinner just now. I feel a little hungry.

“Noel-san,” Jennifer-chan called out.

“Yeah?”

“Who is that?”

“You remember before I said something happened to Liliath right?”

Jennifer nodded.

“She’s related in some way. But the situation is solved now.. hopefully..”

There are no new suspicious dots anywhere around the map so I assume it’s safe?

“Speaking of which, you two were waiting to use the shower right?”

“Yup!” Jennifer said, jumping off the bed.

“What's a shower?” Gabriel looked at her in confusion.
