Chapter 23: His Past

One day, as he playing in the park with other kids, he saw her. 

She tripped but he catch her. 

"What is your name?"

"Ishigami Yu, and you?" 

"Otomo Kyoko, Thank you Ishigami-kun," 

When Yu saw her bright smile, he knows that he needs to protect it even though she will never be with him since he knows the story.

Since then, they play almost every day in that park but they suddenly move a month later. 

However, when he is in middle school, they move back again and became classmates. 

Sometimes they hang out like in their younger days but since they are both growing up, she can make other friends other than him since she is quite popular in their school. 

Their hangouts and talks got decreased day by day but their closeness didn't get decrease, not until his third year of middle school. 

One day, she said that she accepted the confession from the drama club president. When he heard this, he knows that it was time to do his part. 

But before that, he got confused when he discovered that they didn't do sex but he didn't think much about that because that guy is still cheating on her. 

As the day has come, he sighs before he makes his act of the century. 

He wiped his face as he thought "If I let her see my whole face will she fall for me instead of that man?" 

Ishigami's hairstyle is still the same from elementary to now. Half of his face was covered by his hair.

But he shook his head because he knows to himself that she only likes him as a friend but he is frustrated with himself that he makes her still fall to that man even though he knows that he is a piece of shit. 

He sighs as he hides the paper in one of his drawers and goes straight to his bed and sleeps.

In Beijing, China. 

"Seriously, Yui why did you do that?" 

Alice is confused by something.

"Well, we met one time on that day."

Looking up to the ceiling, she reminisces.

"That day?"

Alice tilts her head.

"Before the gate opens."

"Oh, that day. I hear what happened to her"

"Where's Utaha?"

"Oh! … She's killing someone on her new novel."

Opening his eyes, a new morning began for Yu. 

He does his daily routine; sprinting, bathing and breakfast. 

After that, he immediately sits and opens his computer. 

For the rest of his day, Ishigami didn't do much on his Sunday other than live streaming on YouTube and Twitch while playing Dota in the morning, Apex Legends in the afternoon, and Outlast 2 in the evening.

"Ugh! ……"

He pretends to sleep on his desk. He thought that time passed faster than you feel, before he know it, school already resumes.

'I still wanted to play!' 

As he thought this, a teacher opened the door then she clapped twice.

"Everyone, we have a new student."

Right after her words, a person entered the room.

"Hello everyone! I'm Otomo Kyoko, nice to meet you all!"
