Chapter 38: Turns

Although she knows that it's okay for them to play without a prize but as a game master of all games (self-proclaimed), she needs to hype her players.

She thought for a moment but nothing comes out of her brain. After all, she didn't expect that her ego will want to give a prize too so she didn't prepare anything for that.

'How about we just play for fun? They wouldn't mind it after all but… ah!'

"How about this!"

She shows two small pieces of paper.

"What is that?"

Ishigami asked.

"Hehehe, Kouhai-kun. This. is. a movie ticket."

"I know so Is that—"

"Yes! this is the price."

"By the way, What genre is the movie?"

Shirogane curiously asked. Ishigami and Shinomiya look at Fujiwara. They are not curious as him but they don't mind knowing it.

A sweat suddenly appears on her forehead, feeling heavy pressure from them. 

'…or is it just my imagination?'

Without letting them wait, she answers him.

"Romance."

The atmosphere change as Fujiwara and Ishigami can feel the other two get pumped up.

"It's a useless price but this is a game so we better enjoy it, right, Shinomiya?

"Yes, I agree with you, Kaichou."

Seeing their competitive aura, Ishigami feels something indescribable inside of him. 

While this feeling lingers in his body, another feeling was born and it's much stronger than the first one.

Going back from his confusion, from what he knows, Shinomiya falls for him at first sight.

So why Shinomiya is still competing with Shirogane like this is a normal episode/ chapter of the original story?

The answer is…

Shinomiya wanted to use the ticket and make Ishigami beg her to invite him. 

Then she will use that moment to let Ishigami confess that he has feelings for her.

After all, she is 100% sure that Ishigami is head over heels for her. 

The evidence of her claim is when they are in the restaurant with Alice and Yui. Ishigami calls her by her first name and this is a piece of concrete evidence.

Thinking about this plan, Shinomiya can't help but grin inwardly.

'He would surely confess to me.'

On the other hand, Shirogane thinks the same but he forgets the fact that Shinomiya's affection isn't him anymore.

However, even though he remembers that the fact that Ishigami is a dense person and Shinomiya's past affection can't easily switch from him is something that will give him a push to continue his plan.

"So, who's gonna first?"

Fujiwara asked.

"Me."

Ishigami, who decides not to think too much about that indescribable feeling, wants to try it first.

Shinomiya and Shirogane step back and compress the urge to go first so that they can start the game.

"So which will you pick, rock, paper, or scissors?"

Fujiwara asked like she is a game show host while holding an imaginary microphone.

"Paper."

Then the roulette on the screen spin.
