When Ruaan ZhiYin woke up, her entire body felt sore and the exhaustion from yesterday still lingered.

Yesterday’s wedding was a bit of a mess and it was indeed very tiring. Her body was tired and her heart was even more tired.

She had stood straight and tall in high heels for most of the day and had to put on an elegant mask while she exchanged greetings with people who had various intentions.

After the wedding finished, Cheng YueLin still had work to do, so he returned to the company. As for her, she did not return to the family home and was instead sent by him to the set of luxurious apartment flats he had bought after returning back to the country.

Ruan ZhiYin’s bank account did not lack any money. Even if you didn’t mention the money earned when she helped her supervisor build a hedge fund. Qin Jue had also given her 30% of T&D’s shares. He had only left 5% for himself. Even though these are B-shares, they still provided a generous amount of dividends.

The past two years when she had accompanied Qin Jue as he started his business was very difficult. But he was also considerate and warm.

This was also the reason why even though for most of the year, their relationship had been very rocky, Ruan ZhiYin had not chosen to give up. She felt that these problems could be solved with communication.

But she had overestimated the feelings between them.

However if there was a day that the Lin family found out that Qin Jue was working for her behind the scenes, then their expressions would be very amazing.

After washing up, Ruan ZhiYin walked into the kitchen and cooked some congee and sat in the dining room to fill up her stomach a little.

She still had to go back to the Ruan’s family house for dinner with Cheng YueLin and it would definitely be very bothersome. It would be very easy to have no appetite in such a situation.

After finishing about half the congee, her phone on the table rang.

She glanced at it, as expected, it was Lin Cheng.

“YinYin, changing the groom is such a big matter. Why didn’t you discuss it with the family?”

Lin Cheng’s words were full of an elder’s “caring” tone.

Ruan ZhiYin quietly laughed and put down her spoon.

She thought they really couldn’t wait for her to return home before calling to criticize her. They really couldn’t keep calm.

“What kind of words are these, Uncle? Why I had to change the groom, shouldn’t you be the most clear about these matters. Or do you think that because I shouldn’t marry into the Qin family, I also cannot get married to Cheng YueLin. So…” She lifted her brow before she slowly continued. “ You’re flying into a rage?”

Lin Cheng never expected to speak so directly. He paused for a few moments and his voice also turned cold: “You think I will believe that Cheng YueLin will help you for free?”

“Of course now. The BeiCheng project will be given to LinHeng.”

Ruan ZhiYin had never planned to hide this point.

“Are you crazy?”

Lin Cheng was really surprised. This was the largest project that the Ruan Company had gotten in two years. It was because Ruan ZhiYin had managed to snag the BeiCheng project so she managed to have some say in the Ruan Company.

Ruan ZhiYin’s expression was calm and she added some sugar to her congee. She controlled herself before she spoke: “Before we bidded, you should know that the Ruan Company’s resources will not be enough to complete this project. But you still told me to bring a team and bid for it. You promised me that after the bid, the project would still belong to me. Doesn’t this mean that no matter what, this project will fail?”

“In front of Grandfather, you always pretend to be generous and you can even wait for me to lower my head and admit that I failed. Then you can even use the BeiCheng project as a partnership opportunity to paint yourself in a good light to the Yan family. You can really kill three birds with a single stone.”

Lin Cheng’s market sense was only average, but he was very familiar with using all sorts of tricks for personal gain.

With these thoughts, Ruan ZhiYin revealed a mild smile: “I managed to get the project, so I naturally have a say. After all, Cheng YueLin is now my husband and Grandfather will also agree.”

His calculations had failed. Lin Cheng paused and gritted his teeth: “You aren’t afraid that I’ll tell that old man that his grandson-in-law didn’t marry for love?”

“Then don’t you think that because of this Grandfather would feel pity for me and angrily give me all the shares?” Ruan ZhiYin did not back down.

Maybe he had some misgivings about her words so Lin Cheng was silent for half a second. His voice was gloomy as he laughed: “YinYin, this doesn’t seem like you. Your Uncle was really blind in the past.”

That year when Ruan ZhiYin had returned, he had also been alarmed.

But in the end, he felt that it was just an obedient bookworm and he didn’t need to fear her. Who would have thought that after eight years, this eagle had come to peck out his eyes.

“Thank you for the praises, Uncle. I am still not even half as capable as you in front of Grandfather.”
