The Bentley slowly drove into the east villa area and stopped at the courtyard of the Ruan family home.
The two people got out of the car and the driver held the gifts and waited on the side.
Cheng YueLin slowly followed behind her and entered the house one after the other.
As soon as they walked in, the butler Uncle Liu welcomed them.
The driver handed over the presents to him and he looked at Ruan ZhiYin and respectfully said: “Eldest miss, Mister Ji has also come to see the master.”
The Mr. Ji that Uncle Liu spoke of was Grandfather Ruan’s foster son, Ji YiJun. He had been taken into the Ruan family when he was twelve years old and he was said to be the son of an old friend. But there were also some who said he was an illegitimate child.
Perhaps to avoid suspicion, Ji YiJun moved out of the Ruan family home after he came of age. He only would return occasionally to visit Grandfather Ruan. After Ruan ZhiYin returned to the Ruan family, she did not have many chances to meet him, so she was not familiar with him.
Just as she was thinking about this, she saw Ji YiJun coming down the stairs. He was a man who was nearing his forties and every gesture was filled with a mature temperament.
Ruan ZhiYin politely nodded her head: “Little Uncle.”
Ji YiJun made a light sound of acknowledgement and then his gaze shifted to the person beside her. “President Cheng.”
Cheng YueLin reached out and shook hands with Ji YiJun and his pitch black pupils appeared to smile as he returned his gaze: “Little Uncle does not need to be this polite. Calling me by name is fine.”
Ji YiJun surprisingly did not respond but he looked instead at Ruan ZhiYin: “Uncle Ruan just woke up. You should bring President Cheng over. I will be leaving first.”
After speaking he slightly nodded his head towards Cheng YueLin.
Just as he was about to leave, as if he just remembered something. He turned around with a smile and said: “I almost forgot. Congratulations on your marriage.”
It was only then that Ruan ZhiYin remembered that Gu LinLang said that Ji YiJun had surprisingly attended the wedding yesterday. It was just that he left as soon as the ceremony was over.
She did not know why, but she felt that Ji YiJun and Cheng YueLin had an indescribable feeling of familiarity between them. But Ji YiJun was considered part of a different generation and she had never heard of any interactions between the two.
It was just a feeling but it quickly slipped away.

Ruan ZhiYin led Cheng YueLin up the stairs.
Two months ago, it was discovered that Grandfather Ruan had late stage lung cancer. As he was already quite advanced in age, the doctors euphemistically suggested some conservative treatments. But everyone understood what he meant.
Grandfather Ruan was very open-minded and said he had already lived to quite an old age, but his only regret was that his granddaughter had not yet married. Even though there were issues between her and Qin Jue, they still decided to set a wedding date.
During yesterday’s wedding, other than feeling disappointment in Qin Jue, Ruan ZhiYin was even more angry at the lack of care that Lin Cheng and Lin JingFei showed towards Grandfather’s body.
After all, the doctor had previously told them that they should not agitate Grandfather.
As they arrived in front of the room, Ruan ZhiYin was just about to knock before she suddenly paused. She retracted her hand and turned around and tugged on the man’s sleeve.
Cheng YueLin lowered his head. His gaze lingered on her round fingertips holding his sleeve. His pupils were incredibly dark and deep, but they immediately became indifferent when he met her gaze.
Ruan ZhiYin loosened her hand and quietly discussed with him: “Do you think…… We should pretend to be a bit more intimate?”
“Pretend?” He raised a brow. His gaze slowly shifted. “What are you planning?”
Ruan ZhiYin pursed her lips and reached out her hand to him.
Her hand was as slim as green onions and her fingertips were translucent and pure. TL Note: LMAO what is up with the author’s descriptions? Basically they’re saying that her hands are really pretty but why is the description so strange? But I am happy that the author isn’t just using as white as jade everywhere.
She perceived the other person’s relaxed and indifferent gaze and she furrowed her brow and tried to persuade him solemnly: “Even though this will wrong you, but the play still needs to be performed properly. I will also make it up to you. Yesterday during the wedding, didn’t you… …”
Ruan ZhiYin originally wanted to say that he had also kissed her yesterday. Even though it was just the corner of her mouth. But she realized that at that time she was a bit absent-minded and the emcee did not request him to kiss her. It was just an act so that the mood would not turn strange.
To do business, no one could get away without putting on some sort of show.
But he would even bring his assistant to banquets which showed how much he hated contact with the opposite sex.
In the end, it was her wronging him. So she lost her confidence in an instant.
“Didn’t I, what?” Cheng YueLin lowered his eyes and dragged out his words. He paused for a moment before he mockingly responded. “It is true that I would be wronged.”
