100 Indiscriminate Gunfire
Qiao Yue and Qiao Jing didn’t walk at a brisk pace when heading to the ramen shop. Instead, they chose to walk in crowded places.
Qiao Jing let himself be pulled by Qiao Yue in silence, his gaze unfathomable as he looked at the person in front of him.
When the two of them arrived at the ramen shop, Qiao Yue felt the phone in her pocket vibrate. It seemed that there was a message.
“Brother, what do you want to eat? My treat,” Qiao Yue said generously to Qiao Jing when they arrived at the table.
Qiao Yue pretended to glance out of the window inadvertently, but the person following her had already disappeared.
Qiao Jing pushed the menu to Qiao Yue, “You order, I’ll order the same thing as you.”
Qiao Yue’s attention was drawn back by Qiao Jing’s actions. She took the menu and just randomly ordered two bowls of signature noodles before picking up her phone to check the message.
The new message she received a minute ago was [The person has been found.].
Although she knew that the people in the organization acted quickly, she didn’t expect them to be so fast. It had only been less than 20 minutes!
“What dangerous thing are you doing now?” Qiao Jing’s sudden words startled Qiao Yue.
“Brother, what are you saying?”
Qiao Jing’s eyes fell on Qiao Yue’s phone and he continued, ” I’ve told you not to touch anything dangerous after entering the Qiao family.”
Qiao Yue chuckled, “Well, I’m not home yet!”
“Is there a big difference?” Qiao Jing asked in a flat tone.
Qiao Yue’s eyes turned and her smile became even more unrestrained, “It’s not that I want to cause trouble, but trouble will come to me. If you want to protect me, then you just have to find out everything about me.”
Qiao Jing’s eyes darkened, “You’re just an orphan from a mountain village, yet you’re involved with both the KA Group and Dr. Lu. I see you’ve had an interesting life all these years.”
Judging from her second brother’s tone, he probably had evidence that she was related to the KA Group. In that case, she did not have to deny it anymore. She simply chuckled and did not answer.
“I won’t ask what your relationship with the KA Group and Dr. Lu is, but if you have other identities and are involved in dangerous activities, I hope you can leave in time.”
Qiao Yue’s hand that was holding the noodles in her chopsticks paused. Her second brother was really sharp. To think he could even detect this.

However, she didn’t want to continue on this topic, so she simply answered with an “mm”.
After the meal, the two of them returned to the Qiao family’s villa directly. Nothing else happened in between.
…
“This is the evening news report. A malignant indiscriminate shooting occurred at Hong’an Airport today. The attackers attacked passers-by at Hong’an Airport indiscriminately, causing seven people to be injured…”
Qiao Ying was watching the news in the living room. When she saw Qiao Yue coming down, she lowered the volume and said, “Fifth brother, it’s a good thing we left early this afternoon. Otherwise, we would’ve met a madman.”
Qiao Yue glanced at the TV and nodded with a smile.
The shooting happened after she and Qiao Jing had left Hong’an Airport. They could be considered “lucky”.
Qiao Yue sat down next to Qiao Ying and watched the news with her. At the same time, she browsed through the discussion forums and Weibo about the shooting incident.
In a country like C Country, where it was forbidden for individuals to carry guns, a case with a shooter was undoubtedly a big deal. There were constant discussions on the internet.
Some suspected that it was a spy from another country, some said that it was a psychopath who would carry out an indiscriminate attack, and some said that the relevant departments should dig out the details of the attacker.
Qiao Yue thought that it would be great if they could dig out the truth. It would be best to just unroot all of the sinful drug dealers like Trand and shoot them all. Unfortunately, even if the police wanted to investigate further, they couldn’t find anything. Since a few hours have passed, Trand’s men must have already cleaned up all traces.
However, the advantage of this being such a major public incident was that the country would be more strict in controlling the flow of guns, making it more difficult for Trand to bring anything in. It also gave her a little more security.
While everyone was discussing the conspiracy theory, a comment suddenly caught Qiao Yue’s attention.
[When I watched the video, I somehow felt that the eyes of the person holding the gun were empty. It was as if he was hypnotized.]
This comment was followed by a few replies.
[Empty? That’s because he has no hope for life and wants to take revenge on society! You’re probably thinking too much.]
[Hypnosis can make people kill indiscriminately? No way! If that’s the case, anyone who wants to kill others can just learn how to hypnotize others. Rather, I won’t need to hypnotize others to help me kill. I can just hypnotize the person I want to kill and make him commit suicide.]
A few minutes later, the person who posted the post probably deleted it after seeing that no one agreed with his point of view.
