And just like the silver bracelet the silver ring on her hair also—–did not break and fall.

“……huh?”

Mina made a surprised expression. This was not her usual playing around face but she was actually surprised right now.

“Huh, what’s going on, why isn’t it breaking off? Did it fail?”

She poked at her hairband with her finger tips but there was no response. It was as if it had become just a normal silver accessory.

But that’s impossible. These items were seals meant to seal her infinite white magical energy provided by God. It was a necessary ‘restraint’ for Mina who had been acting as a normal adventurer.

“Seal unlock! Seal Unlock!!”

The seal should have been removed with just those words but the hair bands were really not responding at all.

“Nonono, how can it fail with such a timing—–no, if it was broken then the seal should have been automatically removed. But to not respond to the keywords even then…”

"As if I'll let you!"(Luvia)

“—-[Item Jammer]!?!”

Exactly. A skill that prevents the opponent to use any item, regardless if it's an accessory or consumable. A pvp focused skill. Nice job, Lu-chan!!

"In that case all I have to do is…"

"I'm not giving you such an opening!! [Meteor Slash]!"

In a panic, she pulled her katana to counter it.

Under the effects of the seal, she can't grow any stronger than this. Her abilities and skills should be limited. That's why with [Rift Walk] I got behind her and immediately swung my sword again.

If she couldn’t stop them she twisted her body and with her left hand created a gust of wind to push her out of the impact zone. She had no choice but to run and create some distance between them. It's clear she has lots of battle experience. Naive.

Fire pillars erupted from the earth blocking any possible escape route. Even if we didn't discuss a strategy, our coordination is perfect.

Summoning magic is the strongest type of magic in Phantasy Reverie Online. Although it's not my true ultimate skill, this is truly an endgame skill. A powerful behemoth monster covered in flames appeared behind me. It's entire body was made of fire itself. 

This is going to drain ⅓ of my mana but it's well worth it. Although I'm way too close for comfort…

"Go, Efreet!! [Blazing Inferno]!!"

“Eh, wait—–“(Mina)

Mina opened her eyes wide with surprise but, in her sealed state she wasn’t able to bring out enough power to avoid this. She could only squirm and struggle around like a powerless girl.

That’s good, just like that, in the next 5 seconds, the burning attack of Efreet that technically can take out half of 1HP bar from an endgame raid will impact and turn everything to ashes.

Of course, I won’t get out of this unhurt either. I’m actually scared whether I’d actually even survive that but I really don’t want to go down along with her.

The remaining time is around 3 seconds. I want to get at least 50m away from the centre of the explosion. As expected, I wouldn’t have a chance of surviving if I was only 4m away from her.

I ran and ran, without turning back, as fast as I could. I don’t know how much distance was I able to create but I didn’t stop my legs wanting to take as many steps away from that as possible.

“—-!?!”

And, finally the explosion commenced.

A blinding flash spread all over and even though I closed my eyes instantly, I could still feel the incredible flash even with my eyelids closed.

That wasn’t all. As if that light was trying to burn my body whole, an extreme heat enveloped my body.

“Hot—-!!”

Probably due to the impact and shockwaves, I was being blown away in the air. I felt the sky and the ground, and all directions rotating around and reversing around me.

“GuuaaaaahhhhH!!!

It hurts. Even though I am a tank class, enduring this blast is a challenge even for me. But I managed to endure it. Lu-chan took considerable distance after creating the fire pillars. So I'm sure she's ok. We both were alive.

Although I don't have a health bar, my HP probably dropped below 50% with this stunt. Blazing Inferno from Efreet is always fired from the corner of the raid boss room for good reason. Honestly, I never thought I would be using summoner skills. I'm glad my Valkyrie class has access to them, but in this world I gotta be more careful with them.

"So… did it work?"

As Lu-chan circled around and ran towards me, at that moment, the smoke started to clear

“She's still alive!?!”

It was exactly meant as a normal question but…

“—-yeah, that was really dangerous.”

I actually got an answer.

“I would have really died, if I let my guard down.”

Are you for real? Even that didn't phase her? Just what kind of monster is she?

“I was really surprised. This is the first time someone actually jammed my sealing item. And I thought Leon-sama was the only one who could summon Efreet. Of course, your version was weak.”

Leon-sama? If I recall, that's the name of another one of the Divine Generals. But to call an endgame skill weak is unheard of. Leaving that aside for now...With an amused smile, as if nothing major had happened, the 5th Divine General once again stood in front of me. How the hell did she take no damage?

There were no wounds on her body from the flames. She was pretty much the same when we started.

The only change was that her twintails had now fallen to a normal straight hairstyle.

That means, her seals had been completely removed.

“Kuh, are you kidding……..”

The distance between us was around 10m, yet her dense magical energy’s presence was stabbing into my body.

All of her seals now removed, her silver aura was now much thicker and I could even feel some sort of invisible, indescribable pressure as well.

This is bad. The fact that we weren’t able to take her down with that last attack was already bad but now that we’ve made a Divine General go fully serious, it has become even worse.

“Yufi, we have to run!”

As Lu-chan shouted, various magic circles appeared in the air. [Stardust Shower] an omni directional attack that fires countless beams of lasers towards the opponent. Good. She's trying to make an escape route. She won't be able to dodge a barrage that big so…

But the moment I took the first step, Mina took a stance with her katana with a speed that could not be seen by human eyes.

“I won’t let you run away. I’ll end it with this single shot—-“

The lasers of light used by Lu-chan approached Mina with high speed. In just the next second, they’ll reach and explode.

But in that instant, Mina fired a shockwave that had been formed who knows when.

The shockwave fired was the same as the ones she had fired before, or so I thought, but the light around it became blurred, no, it was as if the space around the wave itself was getting distorted, and I couldn’t see it properly.

The moment Lu-chan began to take evasive manoeuvres, as if realizing that, the shockwave began accelerating. Furthermore, it even made a sharp turn to correct its trajectory towards the direction where Lu-chan flew. It has Auto tracking ability as well!?

This speed, manoeuvring ability; evading was impossible.

*ZUDODODODOO!!*

“Lu-chan!!?”

An explosion occurred on impact. Lu-chan managed to put up a barrier, but against such force…

With a bright flash and waves of destruction, I saw Lu-chan’s body being blown away.

No way, is she—–no, calm down. She had all her limbs, and she didn’t seem to be bleeding too much either.

“It’s not the time to be worrying about your demon-chan you know? My attack hasn’t ended yet.”

I soon realized the meaning behind Mina’s words as I looked above for a second.
