Chapter 9: Chapter 09: Happy Family

Standing in front of Minato was Anko, Hoheto, Iwashi, Inabi, Ebisu and me.

After I won the Chunin exam, we left the Forest of Death and were ordered to the Kage office.

When I entered, I saw Minato and Shikaku standing behind Kage's desk already.

Minato smiled and then gave everyone a green flak jacket from Konoha.

"Congratulations, you're Chunins from now on!

You all impressed everyone with your abilities and your courage.

I hope you continue on this path and improve even more."

Then Shikaku stepped forward and said,

"Starting today, you will be able to take on more responsibilities in the village everything from leading teams to teaching activities.

You can also take on more difficult missions with a team of other Chunins."

After some other formalities we could go home.

I was kinda proud of wearing the flak jacket and it looked really good on me too.

Arriving home, I changed into some casual clothes.

Suddenly a frog came through my window and said,

"Hello Minato wants me to call you for dinner." and then he vanished in a cloud of smoke.

What the hell, this was the first time I had seen one of Minato's summons and then he used it to call me for dinner...

Walking to their house and knocking Minato opened the door and invited me in. Then he pushed me into the kitchen where I could see Kushina with a cake sitting there.

Seeing me she jumps up and runs to me giving me a hug, "Congratulation for passing the exam."

"Thank you!" I hugged her back.

Minato gave me a pat on the shoulder and said, "You did really well and even the third was impressed by your powers."

"I hope so, I even showed him my special move." I responded while laughing a bit.

Afterwards we sat down and started to eat the cake.

After a while Kushina stopped eating and said,

"We have another thing to celebrate today, you know."

This made my ears perk up.

"We're going to become parents soon!" she exclaimed, beaming from ear to ear.

"Congratulations to you both. If you need any help let me know." I say while raising my glass of juice to them.

Minato looked serious then and said, "Thank you and we will probably need your help, so the birth can go smoothly."

After that they told me about the nine tails in Kushina and how dangerous a birth can be since then the seal is at its weakest.

Despite knowing all that, I listened and then spoke.

"Of course I will help during labor and I will promise you that the baby will be born without a problem!"

Both of them looked relieved at my words.

"Are you not afraid of the fox in me?" Kushina asked a bit with a sad look in her eyes.

"I don't care about such things. The fox is the fox and you are you. Nothing else matters."

This made her happy again and she nearly suffocated me with her breasts.

Then I returned home after a dinner that nearly ended in a heavenly death.

Knowing what will happen on the day Naruto is born, I will do everything in my power to make the new family happy.
