The first blow was free, knowing how to fight was not the same as having brute strength, but I smiled, because that gave me the answer to my previous unknown.

—What are you laughing at? I hope I didn't hurt your brain so much with that punch.

Dude... I barely felt your fist.

—Try again. —I looked sideways at Troilo and noticed his anguished face.

As much as I wanted to, one punch in the face would be enough to leave him badly hurt. I have to find a way I can win his favor without putting him in a coma.

«Break his armor».

That might do the trick.

The breastplate covering his torso was made of a brown painted metal, I don't know what kind, but from the shape, it seemed to be very sturdy.

With one blow... just one blow was enough to break it.

Hector lunged at me with a punch that was going for my head again. I dodged it before he could deliver it and, with a swift leg movement, I moved to his side.

The moment I wanted to touch his armor, he moved away.

—Do you want to break your hand?

—I'm doing you a favor, believe me, you don't want a blow from me to your face.

The older prince raised an eyebrow and said:

—Nor that you were Heracles.

My expression said nothing but disengagement.

I ran towards his position. As soon as I got inside his personal space, he tried to hit me with a hook, but I was faster. I grabbed his fist and bent it without doing much damage, then his other hand did something I didn't expect.

He pulled my hair.

In that instant I felt all my strength drained, it reminded me of Delilah, who one day before betraying me, stroked my hair knowing I was going to miss it.

I let go of his fist and in panic I pushed him away giving him a blow with my left arm. I was about to retort something, when the front of his armor fell to the ground in two pieces.

My anger went away when I saw what I did.

—Impossible... —And the astonishment came to Hector's features, as well as to those of everyone who was witnessing our fight—. Who are you? A normal human couldn't do what you did just now.

—I'm just...

—You're from Sparta? What demigod are you?!

It was Hector's turn to act crazy. He hurried to pick up the sword he had thrown away. The soldiers also wanted to intervene.

—No! —Troilus interposed himself—. If he had been a demigod sent by Menelaus, he would already be dead.

The black-haired Trojan prince sighed. He understood what his younger brother meant.

—I'm sorry...

The prince's gaze was fixed on the ground. It took him a few seconds before he mentally reinstated himself. He examined me and said:

—We are not having a good time.

Troilo's nanny appeared with a gray blanket and put it over Hector's shoulders.

—Thank you —he said before looking at me again—. I guess I'll take my word for it.

The little prince grabbed my sword from the ground and handed it to me with a smile.

—I thank you... —I patted his head gently and then turned to his older brother—. Thank you for giving me a chance.

—I just hope you have that same strength when it's your turn to protect my brother.

—I will.

—What's your name? I think I interrupted you before you could tell me who you were.

—My name is...

—Samson! —Troilus, who was still on my side, interjected.

—A name that emits strength, but which is not common in these parts. My brother told me you're from here, your father was a Trojan, where was your mother from?

Mom? I can't tell the truth yet.

Where was Israel? I never stopped to check a map. I only knew that Egypt and Babylon were nearby.

Damn it, I can't stay thoughtful!

—Near East.

That was the shortest and most honest answer I could give. While it was true that Israel no longer existed here, they were not the only ones who spoke Hebrew.

—The Near East? I thought there were only ruins and deserts.

—Why do you say that?

—The kings of the Greek polis invaded Egypt and some kingdoms in that region a long time ago.

That's new information.

Quick, fix it!

—Oh, right... I already knew that. What I was trying to say is that my mother was a nomad, she traveled with my grandfather and some other people, then they split up. After that, she found my father and had me in Pergamon.

—Okay, now I understand better. —He looked sideways at the gates of the royal palace. We were right outside the home of the king of Pergamon—. We'd better get out of this place fast before unwanted people find out we were here.

His contemptuous tone made me belatedly learn that something was wrong with the Trojans.

They wanted to assassinate Troilus, and, on the other hand, Hector was singularly afraid because of a word he said earlier: "Sparta." I knew he was referring to a territory, but I still didn't understand the background of the whole thing.

I will have to wait, not only to know the current situation of Troy, but also to fulfill the will of YHVH.

False goddess, you will have to keep up with me.
