As expected, the drive there wasn’t long. Even if it did feel that way for Ishi and the other girls as they were packed into the rear of their vehicle. Still, they finally reached their destination and he couldn’t be more happy to be on ground again.

“When we head back, I’m taking shotgun. No arguments.” Ishi said as he stretched out his cramped legs. If they were going to make him suffer like that, then the boy deserved something good in his life.

“So, what are our responsibilities?” Now that they had arrived, the only question left by Chinae was what their day was going to entail. “Now that I’m thinking about it. We were being stupid by not asking what we’re going to have to do.”

“Nothing special.” He answered. “We’re just helping out the teachers watch the rest of the students.” Compared to the field trip with the third years, it was more important to have more trustworthy individuals practically babysitting the students. The first reason was because the older students were expected to be more matures, where some were already of adult age. The second was that this location was a lot more unsafe in comparison to an aquarium.

“So, we should start by introducing ourselves, right?” Rinse was about to walk off to execute her plan when he stopped her.

“First, we need to change.” Ishi took out some extra bags that were placed in the bus the younger students took. He threw them out to each girl and Otoya. “In these bags are the uniforms we’re supposed to wear.” It was so that people wouldn’t get them mixed up among the students. “You girls go ahead and change in the cabin designated for us.”

“Ooh, what a gentleman.” Chiane chuckled as she left with the others. “Hope neither of you are going to pull something perverted.”

“Heheh.” Otoya laughed along with her as she left. “Do you actually-”

“No.” Before he let his friend say the dumb thing they all knew he was going to say, Ishi pinched hard onto his ear. “And I’ll make sure you don’t try anything stupid either.” While they waited outside for their turn, the girls began getting undressed to get into their camp uniforms.

“These seem okay.” Youna nervously stripped down along with the other girls. It shouldn’t bother her, as they were all girls, but she was still worried that someone else might be able to see them.

“Maybe to you they do.” Ryugi was too annoyed with one major problem to care about how she looked in only underwear to the others. “Is this even going to fit me?”

“I’m sure he got you the biggest ones they had.” Said Chinae. She and Rinse had already gotten changed, thanks to their skills of quick uniform changes during stage performances. “Besides, I thought you didn’t care about showing off your body a little?”

“It’s not that.” She replied while buttoning up the top. “I just want to be comfortable, that’s all.” It was a tight fit, but it seemed that her shirt was going to be able to contain everything she had on top. At least her beige shorts fit better, even if also a little tight considering the size of her butt. “Like, I look really lame in these.”

“I think you might be a little too vain.”

“Anyway, let’s not take too long.” Rinse brought them back to why they were all here. “The kids are going to need our guidance, and the boys still need to get changed.” The girls agreed on the matter and gave the space for Ishi and Otoya.

While waiting for them to change, Rinse surveyed the landscape. The idol couldn’t have been more excited to be a part of nature as she took in the fresh air. They didn’t have anything like this at her old hometown, as it was one of the biggest cities in Japan. For the first time since she had transferred to this school, she was afforded the luxury of some peace and quiet.

Certainly, the first years were very excited that she was there to be one of their chaperons. However, their younger age also left most of them without enough confidence to go up and talk with her. Well… All except for one.

“Rinse!” Koto made his presence known to the girls as he ran up eagerly. “I’m real glad that you came to watch us.” He was more happy that he was able to see her more, even though he already got more than everyone else in his class. “And where’s Ishi?”

“I was getting changed.” His older cousin was the one to answer that question, since it took little time for him to get into uniform. “And you shouldn’t be bothering us counselors unless you have a real problem.” Already, despite only seeing him for approximately two seconds, Ishi scolded the boy over his behavior. “Go hang out with the students who are actually your age.” Now that he thought about it, what friends did his cousin even have?

“Well, I guess I can just hang out with Seyuki again.” That girl’s name popped up once more. While Ishi took no issue with her, surely there had to be other people.

“Don’t you have any other friends?” He asked.” Like, some boys you can hang out with?”

“Other than Seyuki and her friends, I don’t have anyone else.” Koto looked down in disappointment in having to say that out loud with Rinse around. “None of the boys look like they want to be friends with me. Every time I try to talk to them, they get nervous and tell me to leave.” To Ishi and everyone else around them, it was clear on why. “I guess it’s probably because they’re jealous I live next door to Rinse.” Unfortunately, the young boy was still oblivious to the real problem here.

“Look, just ask Seyuki to help you out then.” Ishi gave him some advice. He believed that a little help might go a long way in this situation. Though it was mainly because he wanted this boy out of his hair. Even if he was here for him, that boy still needed to learn things for himself.

“All right. Then I’ll see everyone later then.” Full of energy, Koto ran off to rejoin his class as they got themselves orientated to their new environment.

“So what exactly are our jobs supposed to be again?” Chinae asked now that they were left to their own devices. Ishi explained things to them as he also handed out maps so they knew where everything was. Their task was to spread out and make sure none of the students got themselves lost. After all, that would be the absolute worst thing that could happen today. It was also wise of them to partake in the activities as a manner to motivate the students to try new things out as well.

“I’ve already taken the liberty of marking off where each of you will be stationed at.” Since he was considered the leader of the group, Ishi made the decision without consulting any of them. Ryugi had the task of outdoors berry picking and fishing. Youna was to show students how to start and maintain a campfire. Chinae had fun games like archery and rock climbing. Finally, Rinse was to handle safe practices regarding wildlife.

“What about me?” Otoya asked, who noted that he was left out of the listings. “It sounds like you worked hard on dividing up the work, but you forgot me.”

“Actually, I just randomly placed all of you. You know, for fairness.” If they knew that he simply made it up on the spot, they might’ve gotten a little upset with how little he cared about this. To be fair, he was unaware of the aid coming his way. So that was the best method on such short time. “Anyway, my dad wanted someone to help out with his photography.”

While his parents were glad to be able to join their young nephew on a major milestone in his life. His father was actually very interested taking many landscape photos for his job. “So you’ll be following him around and helping however you can.” Perhaps his selection process wasn’t that random, since he knew that Otoya would love to be able to wander the camp grounds and meet the cute girls they were with.

“But, what about you?” Youna noted that Ishi also left himself out when it came to assignments.

“I’m the leader.” He reminded them all of that fact. It was probably something the boy was a little to proud about to beat over their heads with. “So basically I’m also going to be running around and helping all of you.”

This ended up being something rather favorable for everyone sans Ishi. After all, the girls had actually wanted to be able to see him a little more often in a ‘private’ sense. While they were at first disappointed with learning that their tasks were expected to be done separately. Him joining along, even if temporary, was welcomed.

On the other hand, Ishi didn’t really care about seeing each of them alone. All he was concerned with was getting through this day unscathed. Recently, his life seemed to be dominated with normal days becoming bothersome because of these girls. So he just wanted to go in, help them with hopefully minor things, and leave as if he was never there.

Who will get their wish? That is something yet to be seen.
