I had unlocked two new things which were somewhat interesting. First of all, I unlocked something called World Rankings. There was a new button on my main menu, it led me to a very large scoreboard that showed the world rankings. Not only were the ranks given numerical values, but there were also different leagues, going Wood-Iron-Silver-Gold-Platinum-Diamond-Emperor-Saint.

Unlike the lower ranks which housed countless people, the Emperor rank had only 20 people and the Saint rank only had 5.

I was able to freely scroll through the scoreboard, looking at every name in every single rank. There were also specific rewards for being in a league, so there was motivation to push higher, even if just in terms of the scoreboard. Everyone was ranked based on a specific 'score', it seemed that score wasn't correlated to your level since I had a score of 3 whilst I was only level 2.

I assumed that it was some score based on your combat ability but I couldn't be sure. The one thing I was sure of was that I wanted to advance this leaderboard. 

Back then, none of my achievements were ever recognised.

Now that achievements were quantified.

I was going to show everyone that I am a truly talented person.

I am going to climb that leaderboard.

Alright, at the moment I was getting a decent amount of experience from picking flowers. I was sure that there were definitely faster ways but with the amount of time it would take for me to figure them out, I might as well be grinding. Once I unlocked the [Dungeon Professor], I'll get him to tell me the most efficient method to grind in the dungeons.

I bent down and continued to feel through the soft green grass.

I managed to level up my farming again.

I picked up the final Black Eyed Susan I needed.

After picking it up, I opened my crafting menu. Immediately, a recipe popped up and I was gestured to accept it. After crafting my 30 Black Eyed Susans into a {Flower Crown}, I opened my inventory again and equipped it.

Looking as I was getting more experience, I decided to continue picking flowers, I had the intention to reach level 4 in the near future.

My back was starting to get sore but that wasn't going to be an issue. No matter how much pain I would need to suffer, I was going to increase my rank.

It seemed the amount of experience needed to level up increased each time. I would need to pick flowers for quite a while longer. Pushing through the back pain, I continued sifting my hands through the grass.

I was picking flowers at such a rate that my general area was practically empty despite the fact that they were regenerating. I was forced to drag my legs a few metres through the grass and find another untouched area in order to continue my collection.

Ah, I was starting to get a little tired. Picking flowers non-stop was only so interesting and along with the pain of moving around every once in while, I decided to take a quick break and sit in the grass. Since I was so entranced with gathering experience, I didn't even realise how amazing this place was. The bright sun, the calm weather, the gentle breeze, all added up to make a very welcoming environment. 

Now that I thought about it, the person who was ranked first on the leaderboard was ahead of everyone else by a long margin. I wondered who that person was, and what they did to get there. Considering that there were only around 50 million people on the leaderboard, I assumed that not everyone here got to have a system.

There was likely much more to this world that I haven't realised.
