I entered my room and closed the door, but what do I do now? Hmm. First, I need to summarize everything that's going on.

I was annoyed by the main character of a novel, then some higher being summoned me into this world. That is something I only remember now somehow. At first, I believed I was in a dream, but since I didn't wake up, I assumed that it must be real. But I still thought of it as 'lesser' in a sense, since it was just a world based on a novel...

When I started living in this world, I had a mission unbeknownst to me. To live my life as a better protagonist than the one featured in the novel. Now, what I assume is the same higher being, told me that I am not qualifying as a better protagonist. I received a warning or reminder so to speak.

Next, what is it that makes both the novel's main character and me a bad protagonist? For me, it was mainly just him being a dense character with no plan in mind. But I don't think I was behaving in a dense way or acting without a plan.

In the first place, the character wasn't unrealistic, it was his surroundings, the story, and world he lived in. The character could exist in the real world too, but he would end up as a loner who would never achieve anything meaningful. So maybe it's the fact that the world around him had to adjust so he could be the main character?

If that is the case, then is it about what Chiaka said? Her feelings are certainly correct when I think about it. I did admittedly 'watch everyone from a safe distance' since they are 'just characters from a novel'. But they said this world was as real as my previous one. Even if it is something I did subconsciously, I will try to stop that. I don't want to get called out again like that...

I wish I was told what to do more clearly... I am not sure if my thoughts are correct in any way or capacity.
