“Leave me alone!”
Hudson slapped June’s hand and walked away angrily. June was on the floor, looking sadly in the direction Hudson was going.
I watched June thoughtfully. With her kitchen apron and pink dish gloves, she looked like a housewife. The system said her character is motherly. Maybe I could walk from here. Yes, yes, that’s how I should have taken my first step.
“Madame June,” I called.
“Hmm? Do you need something, boy?” She quickly recovered herself and turned to me with a pleasant smile.
“Well, my leg is injured and I need dressing. Can you help me?” I pointed at my bloody trousers.
“Well… I can call nurse Sierra. She knows better,” she said.
“No, not Sister Sierra,” I interjected.
“Hmm? Why?” she asked curiously.
“To be frank, Madam June, nurse Sierra is harsh with the students. I’d rather be treated by a charming woman, and it’s not that hard. You just have to change the bandage.” I said innocently, looking into her eyes.
June, who had been watching me in silence for a while, sighed with a tired expression. ”All right, let’s go to the kitchen,“ she said, taking my arm and helping me walk. “Will you be able to step on your foot?”
“Yeah, thanks for the help.”
When we entered the kitchen, I realized that there was no one around. “Are you alone? What happened to the other employees?”
“They died, they died in the.. you know… zombie outbreak.” June said, looking sadly around.
To dispel the gloomy mood, I jokingly said, “so you’re running the kitchen by yourself, Hudson used all his luck to marry you,”
“It is, I suppose,” June answered, forcing herself to laugh.
It didn’t seem like they were on good terms. Hudson was a jerk. He must have upset June.
“I guess you’re not okay. I saw how Hudson was treating you when we were out,” I said, as I slowly sit on the couch.
After standing in silence for a while, June finally spilled the beans. “Hudson and I look at life from different perspectives on some things, so we haven’t been on good terms lately,” she said, pulling a chair up next to me.
She didn’t seem too eager to talk about it. It was best not to go too far.
“Where did you say your scar was?”
“It’s on my left leg. Some hoodlums stabbed me,” I said, pulling my pants down in one swift motion.
Unprepared for my sudden movement, June involuntarily glanced at my crotch. She must have been ashamed of what she had done afterward, so she hastily turned her head away and said;
“O-oh, I see. It’s a pity that people can be pretty cruel in times of danger.”

“Oh, sorry, I took off my pants without saying.”
“N-no it’s okay… I was unprepared so…” she muttered something in a low voice.
I handed over the first aid kit in my bag and said, ”You can do it with this.”
That’s when I noticed that June’s eye was stuck on something in my bag. Women and chocolate. For some reason, that didn’t surprise me.
While June was doing my dressing, I was planning what to do next.
”It’s done. I’ve renewed your bandage," June said, looking proudly at her work like a child.
How could she still look so cute at her age? She could transform from a sexy housewife to a cute girl in a moment.
I took the chocolate out of my bag that caught June’s eye and handed it to her with a smile. “Think of it as a small payment for your help.”
“Oh, you don’t know how much I needed this. The last two days, school was like a prison. I was about to faint from stress,” she said and started eating the chocolate with joy.
“Isn’t this the dining hall? What happened to all the food?”
“When people looted the kitchen on the first day, Headmistress Vivien hid them elsewhere. They bring me as much stuff as I can cook for a day, nowadays even a bit of chocolate is a luxury.”
We chatted like this for a while. While I was getting information from her about the school, I was making the conversation even more private. From time to time, I did not neglect to make small compliments to her with light contacts.
“Your hair is so lively, this hairstyle suits you very well,” I said, touching the strands that had fallen from her face. “It gives you a graceful look.”
“Gosh, Victor, you shouldn’t compliment a married old lady like that.”
“Old? I just see a mature and beautiful woman in front of me. Madam June, don’t underestimate yourself. I’m sure there are still people who look at you with desire in this school,” I said.
When she heard what I said, she bowed her face to the ground, then exhaled. ”You’re being too optimistic. Even Hudson doesn’t look at me that way. He doesn’t eat my food either."
“That’s Hudson’s foolishness. I would drink poison from the hand of a woman with such delicate fingers,” I said, kissing her hand gracefully while I was watching her.
When our eyes met, her eyes gleamed as if she had noticed something. Yes, she should have understood my intentions by now. Let’s see if she pulls her hand back.
But as I expected, she didn’t take her hands off my lips, instead she just stood there. She seemed to be curious about the rest. I was sure now that June was hungry for attention. Hudson’s attitude towards her had made her an attention-hungry woman.
The reason for knowing this was simple. She had never refused my compliments to her and my intimacies even once since the beginning. On the contrary, she understood my interest in her and even liked it. When I looked to see if my efforts had any results in the system, I saw that June’s like had jumped to 60, and the neutral part next to it had now turned into interested.
The first step towards my revenge on Hudson had been accomplished. But my time was running out. I needed more.
