Chapter 3: Chapter 2

By the time he woke up, Xuan Cheng could hear the sound of someone flipping a book's pages. Unlike when the first time he woke up, Xuan Cheng was completely calm this time around. He didn't know whether it was because the soft sound of someone's fingertips against the rough surface of the book or it was something else, Xuan Cheng let his guard down. 

He didn't open his eyes just yet. His eyelids felt heavy and he decided to close his eyes. Even so, he was still conscious. 

From time to time, he could feel someone brushing his hair from his face. Sometimes he would feel some weight on the right sight of his bed. Sometimes... Xuang Cheng felt his body being wiped with a wet cloth from head to toe, which made his whole face flamed up. Even as a demon lord, he didn't get that kind of treatment and took care of his own things! Xuan Cheng obviously never let anyone touch his body without his permission, now though, is a first. 

Xuan Cheng wanted to just lift his eyelids and scold this shameless person, but his physical condition didn't allow him to do that, so he kept being 'asleep'.

Weird thing was... this person had neither spoken or done anything that would reveal his identity to Xuan Cheng. At first, Xuan Cheng became wary and grew suspicious. In the end, because they hadn't done anything to harm him, Xuan Chen simply just let them go. 

A few days passed just like that. 

During those days, Xuan Cheng actually began to think about what happened before he passed out. First, he woke up in his disciple days' room. Then he suddenly got a qi deviation. Finally, he met his shixiong once again and cried. 

Xuan Cheng still had his doubts but the fact that he actually cried so pathetically in front of his shixiong like that, successfully made his face turn red from shame. Once his energy got all used up for crying, he passed out, which led to this situation. 

Suddenly, another person aside from the person he had become familiar of, entered his room. 

"...How is Xiao Cheng?"

"Shizun needn't worry. This disciple would make sure that Xuan Cheng shidi will recover."
