After hearing Zheng Jing saying that there was no chance between them, Zheng Lun’s emotions that had been pressed down for so many years, burst out.
She lost the rationality, entirely. Her love for Zheng Jing had broken through her personality’s drawbacks and she became incredibly brave.
She stripped off her dress and only had the white underwear on. Then she threw herself upon Zheng Jing.
Zheng Jing was again taken aback.
This was totally different from how she usually was.
She was obedient and timid. He could have never imagined her doing anything like this.
But now, she had started to take off his as well.
Zheng Jing pushed Zheng Lun onto the bed and then got her under him as he struggled to take hold of her hands and placed them over her head.
“Are you crazy, Lun? Do you have any idea of what you are doing?”
Zheng Jing bellowed. That was the first time for him to get angry at her ever since she was adopted.
Zheng Lun couldn’t help but cry constantly. She had gotten close to her brother so much so that she could hear his heartbeat. It sounded powerful and fast!
He was angry.
But she was angry too.
“I am crazy, Brother. I have been crazy for a long time. I like you. Can you like me, too?”
Zheng Jing said firmly, “No, I can’t! I am your brother. Lun, what you don’t understand is that you are not in love with me. You are just dependent on me. You have known very few people to understand what love means. You will know clearly when you are in love.”
Zheng Lun’s eyes were swollen by now. She shook her head firmly. “No, Brother, you are wrong. I can tell the difference between love and dependence.”
“My heart beats fast whenever I am with you. I miss you every day and I want to be with you all the time. I have never had such feelings towards anyone like this before. You mustn’t think of me as some immature girl who can’t differentiate between passionate love from family love. I can! I have different feelings for you and for mom and dad!”
Zheng Jing had never expected that his attempt at persuasion would make his sister confess to him.
This was not what he had expected.
How could things get out of hand like this? It was making him uneasy.
He had never expected that his timid sister would ever do or say anything like this.
Her supple body was lying under his and her soft voice pulled him towards her. He was feeling more and more tempted.
Zheng Jing felt his heart ache. But it was a bittersweet ache.
He loved a woman who loved him back. He just couldn’t control his affection. What he had been doing was to dodge the issue by rejecting that feeling.
“I have the same feeling towards you, dad and mom. Lun, I only regard you as my sister.”
Zheng Jing stood up slowly and said this to Zheng Lun with his back facing her. “Mom and dad wouldn’t want to be judged by others. Do you want them to get sad?”
He had no choice but to use his parents as a bargaining chip.
She had always been a filial girl who would never make her parents sad.

Sure enough, his words worked. Zheng Lung got startled and gradually calmed down.
She buried herself in the blanket and said with a muffled voice, “I understand now, Brother, please leave me alone.”
Zheng Jing walked out of the room, closed the door and lost all his composure. He leaned against the door in depression, feeling incredibly agonized and dispirited.
…
Jing Yichen was already waiting for her outside Family Zheng when Shangguan Ning walked out.
As he drove his wife home, he found her wearing a heavy expression.
“What is it? Didn’t have fun? You don’t need to come again if you didn’t enjoy. Zheng Lun doesn’t have a good personality.”
Shangguan Ning smiled as she turned to him. “She is just shy, not weird. Something happened at her home today, so it ended up being bad.”
She recounted the entire incident to Jing Yichen and waited for him to react to it.
A while later, he was still silent.
Jing Yichen felt a bit wronged as he saw her glaring at him. “I have only been in one relationship. I am not a veteran. We are all adults, why think so much about someone else’s issues?”
Shangguan Ning knew him well. Anything that had nothing to do with him would not make him involved. It was a complete waste of time and energy for him.
She shook her head and decided to put down this matter for now. No one else would be able to help Zheng Lun in this matter apart from herself.
She picked up a newspapers kept in the car and leafed through it.
Soon, the headlines made her frown.
“Aristocratic daughter died at home with murderer at large – Jingsheng Empire dominates.”
“Second Master of a business empire rapes girls – a demon.”
“Stock price falls of Jingsheng Enterprise, no more properties worth of hundreds of billions and no more capital chain.”
“Splitting of Jingsheng Enterprise, two heirs competing with one another for inheritance.”
…
All these were false reports yet they made sense. Many people who knew nothing about the facts would easily get swayed and boycott Jingsheng altogether.
Shangguan Ning couldn’t sit still any more. She said furiously, “Yichen, those news agencies reported fake news. Are they attacking and slandering Jingsheng? Won’t they have to answer to legal responsibilities when they keep slandering us and affecting the daily operation of the Enterprise?”
Jing Yichen replied calmly, “So you also think that it is a vicious attack and a slandering attempt? But, do you think that these agencies publish the news themselves?”
Shangguan Ning got startled. “So are you saying that some people are hiring agencies to slander us? Do you think that it is Family Ji or Jing Yiran himself?”
Jing Yichen showed a slight smile on his face and praised her. “Clever girl. You are right! They wouldn’t dare publish such negative news against Jingsheng if they didn’t have anyone backing them. Do they think that they have found a strong supporter? Well, they will soon know how unwise their decision was.”
“So have you got a way to solve these issues?” Shangguan Ning got slightly assured seeing his arrogant face.
The newspaper was a tremendously powerful instrument and large losses might be caused due to it.
Jing Yichen was in charge of the overall situation. If he had thought of methods to deal with the issues, then there shouldn’t be any problem.
“Jingsheng wouldn’t get influenced by these issues. What they wanted to do was ruin Family Jing’s reputation. They are not aiming at Jingsheng but Family Jing. Someone just can’t wait to start a battle!”
