In the President’s bright and spacious office, he was sitting in a hand-made leather chair of brown color, dressed in a white blouse and black suit and a blue tie. His facial features were perfect and, charisma noble and elegant. He had no expression on the face, voice cold as ice, just like on the meeting she had with him for the first time.
Shangguan Ning felt that the blood of her entire body had frozen, limbs stiff.
A voice was speaking to her – he was the President! You needed to stay calm and rational! She needed to report to him the schedule which she had just memorized, without missing a word.
However, her brain was totally blank. All the colors and voices were disappearing, leaving nothing other than an expressionless and ruthless face.
It took her awhile before she became conscious again.
She bent down her head with little strength and spotted the crystal clear name board on the desk in front of Jing Yichen – Three words were engraved there: President Jing Yichen.
President, Jing Yichen…
So ironical…
The wound on the back of her head hurt and the fever had sucked out all of her energy and made her dizzy. The feeble feeling spread all across her entire body.
Was anyone going to tell her what was going on?
The willpower she had been trying to hold onto, collapsed. She retreated two steps and fell upon the carpet.
Jing Yichen didn’t expect that her face would turn so pale suddenly and the body would wobble. Feeling guilty, he stood up and came to her side and took her into his arms the moment she dropped to the ground.
Teeth clenched her lips, Shangguan Ning wiped away his hands and said coldly. “Don’t touch me!”
She wanted to disappear from his sight at this very moment!
Only in this way was she able to make herself feel less ridiculous, less pathetic.
She didn’t want to appear in front of him again!
She was indeed silly enough to have believed him so much without even knowing his name.
How much betrayal did you, Shangguan Ning need to go through so as to understand such matters? Had Xie Zhuojun not been enough?
She had even shared with him the joy of finding an employment and told him that she was keeping herself updated about Jingsheng Enterprise. But how did he manage to stay so calm at that time and not mention a word at all?
She had naively thought that he did have a friend here who could help her.
That so-called friend turned out to be himself. The President of Jingsheng!
She had just scolded him and asked him to move out. He wasn’t supposed to move out. It was she, Shangguan Ning, who was supposed to move out!
Why was he teasing her like this? Was it a lot of fun to keep her in the dark? She had already been living a difficult life. Why couldn’t people just let go of her?
She felt that pain was spreading through her entire body. But she didn’t allow herself to pass out in front of him. She had already lost enough face here.
Shangguan Ning raised herself up with all the strength.
She pushed him away when Jing Yichen tried to help her up .
“I said, don’t touch me!” Her voice was sharp and hoarse, startling Jing Yichen.
Her eyes looked unusually distant, making Jing Yichen panic.
He wanted to grab her hands but she instantly flung him off.
“You are not looking well now. I will send you to the hospital.” Jing Yichen whispered, fearing that he may irritate her further in this rebellious mood.
“You are not Mr. Zhao… hehe…”
Why didn’t you tell me your family name wasn’t Zhao, and why didn’t you tell me you were called Jing Yichen! Shangguan Ning’s heart was roaring furiously, but her face was frozen, refusing to show any expression.
She walked outwards slowly, but she already reached the maximum limitation of her physical condition. She collapsed feebly again onto the ground.
Jing Yichen’s heart ached even more. He came to her side and took her up horizontally in his arms despite her protest.
Damn! How did it come to this?
Shangguan Ning pushed him and hit him with all her strength, totally oblivious of their status as an assistant and a President. “Let go of me! Don’t touch me! I can walk by myself!”

She had thought that she had used much strength, but as a matter of fact, her feeble fists upon Jing Yichen were barely making an impact.
“Don’t move!”
“Let go of me! I am resigning!”
“I disapprove!”
“I don’t want to be your assistant!”
“I disapprove!”
“I hate you!”
“I disapprove!”
“I…”
“No more talks! I disapprove of all your requests! From today on, you are mine. You aren’t allowed to go anywhere without my approval!”
With the struggling Shangguan Ning in his arms, Jing Yichen took the President-special elevator straight down to the underground parking lot from the 76th floor and stuffed her into the Aston Martin with a license number of 12345. Then, he drove away the car, ignoring her angry looks.
He dialled as he drove. “Tiger, get Shangguan Ning’s household registration book for me!”
“What do you want my household registration book for? Let me get off!”
Jing Yichen ignored her, scooped out his own ID card and flung it at her. “Read carefully. Your husband is called Jing Yichen, don’t forget about my name when we are getting our marriage certificate!”
“What did you say?!”
“I said… marriage—certificate!”
“I disapprove!”
“Objection denied.”
Shangguan Ning was trying hard to suppress her anger and despair in the bottom of her heart. She leaned against the seat in silence. A while later, she spoke with a hoarse voice. “I have a fever, take me to the hospital first.”
Without even looking at her, Jing Yichen said coldly, “Don’t worry, I won’t let you go without getting the marriage certificate first.”
She was trying to trick him again, but he wouldn’t get tricked twice.
Shangguan Ning threw Jing Yichen’s ID card back at him disdainfully . Her teeth were tightly clenched and her head refused to bend down.
The fever came in full fury. She was almost out of her mind. But she said what she wanted to say word by word. “I am not marrying you.”
“No worries. Registration first. Wedding and babies can come later.”
Shangguan Ning got so angry that she froze – who had ever said anything about babies?
Jing Yichen stretched out his hand and felt her forehead. He drove faster, without saying any more words to irritate her.
Shangguan Ning had already no energy left in her, to prevent him from doing anything any more. She was at his mercy, who tested her temperature in whichever way he wanted.
They arrived at Civil Affairs Office very quickly. Tiger already had their household registration books waiting at the door.
Jing Yichen got off the car, and walked to the other side to take Shangguan Ning down. He behaved gently but bossily as if she were his biggest treasure.
But Shangguan Ning didn’t feel that way at all.
She didn’t know about his real identity until today and the next second, she was forced to get a marriage certificate at the Civil Affairs Office with him. He was a robber! A demon!
Her life was already a failure, a mess. Couldn’t she just live a simple life instead…?
Her tears trickled down at the sight of Jing Yichen’s well-trimmed, handsome face.
Why did the heart ache so much…?
Then, she felt a gentle touch at her lips.
Shangguan Ning opened the eyes and saw a magnificent handsome face in front of her.
Jing Yichen withdrew his kiss after a second. His voice sounded gentler now than ever. “Be happy. We are getting the marriage certificate today. It is my fault to have messed everything up. But I will not let go of you no matter how much you detest me. A kiss means love, you have no other choice.”
He wiped away her tears lightly, but his heart ached badly.
What he had wanted was to give to her was happiness and joy, but how did the entire thing become like this?
What he wanted was not her grievous tears, but a cheerful smile.
