All I can say is Cue the Olympics theme, and in true confident fashion Hisoka went first, he got himself in position and waited for the signal.
He looked so focused right now, like an athlete in his purest form.
Seto-sensei stood on the other side of the field at the 100-meter mark and blew her whistle. Hisoka was off, his running form was great, and he turned on the jets.
A few moments later, he was across the finish line. “Hisoka Ichiyo’s time is 10.59 seconds.”
That is honestly an impressive time. Unfortunately, I am next up, so it may be tough to trump that performance.
I took my position and focused myself. Mentally the eye of the tiger played on a loop while I awaited the whistle.
Finally, there it was, and I was off. There was no wind assisting me, so I was on my own. A few moments later, I crossed the line.
“Kaneko Miyuki’s time is 11.25 seconds.”
It appears Hisoka has bested me as expected because he is formerly an active member of the track club.
Hisoka celebrated his one-sided victory while I just took a seat in utter defeat.
Takanawa was up next, and he took his position. I would predict his time being higher than Hisoka’s.
The whistle sounded and he took off and I would say that his athletic ability is average at best. A few moments later, he crossed the line.
“Takanawa Ryoko’s has a time of 12.01 seconds.”
My prediction was right; maybe I should start betting on horses.
Of course, Matsukura steered clear of putting this grand athletic prowess on display. So moving on the next person is probably my favorite in regard to having the best time and the guy is Mikhailov Nikita.
He took off his shirt revealing his chiseled body and I may have counted 8 abs instead of 6, students began to groan when he did that, it isn’t the first time for this godly reveal.
If someone played some upbeat dance music, he may start to flex and pose like a contestant at a body building competition.
Mikhailov then slowly removed his shades from his eyes and rotated his shoulders before taking his starting position.
The whistle was blown, and he was off. Mikhailov morphed into a cheetah, and I would consider his form to be excellent as if he had been coached.
A few moments later, he blew passed the line. “Mikhailov Nikita’s time is 10.1 seconds.”
He annihilated everyone’s time. I was flabbergasted; I knew Mikhailov was gifted but that time was insane.
Hisoka’s face became sour when he witnessed that. As the guy who claimed that he would dominate the PE class that must be soul shattering.
The last person who decided to take part was Shiba Imoto. He is the otokomae of our class and he is considered to be exceedingly popular amongst the year group. A couple of girls in our class have already been hitting on him, but he always politely puts them in their place due to the fact that he has a girlfriend, a real stand-up guy.
The topic of love rarely crosses my mind besides a couple of brief what ifs, however at Christmas due to the atmosphere, it’s something I find myself wanting. Other than that, the thought of ever entrusting someone else with my feelings seems risky.
Imoto took his position, and the whistle was blown.
He was off and his form was slightly below Hisoka’s. A few moments later, he crossed the finish line.
“Imoto Shiba’s time is 10.98 seconds.”
Of course, he manages to best my time as well. I am starting to think he is using hax in this game called Life.
That was the last of the boys who wanted to participate in the contest and clearly, the winner is Mikhailov with his Olympic-level time. However, I did come in third so that's good enough for now.

The girls were next, and I already have a fair idea of who I believe will clock in the best time.
First up would be the one and only Tachibana who did a small hop before getting into position.
She rotated her neck a bit as she waited for the signal, then she was off. Like a bat straight out of hell would be the proper way to describe her.
She crossed the finish line.
“Tachibana Tsubaki’s time is 11.58 seconds.”
She comes from a very wealthy family, so I’m sure that they poured an extensive amount of time and money into her fitness, so I am not one bit surprised that her time is in the mid 11’s.
The next girl was Fukami and some of the male students along with female students clapped. Well, granted that she's a beautiful girl and the majority of the thunderous claps came from the male students. I think I may have heard some slight barking in there as well.

It makes me wonder: are we, as men, devolving over time? I would like to think not, well as long as I don’t hear someone ask her to step on them.
She took her position and shot off upon hearing the whistle, her form is remarkably similar to Tachibana.
She crossed the finish line.
“Fukami Chisora’s time is 11.57 seconds.”
She shaved her by that much.
Tachibana let out a sigh of annoyance and took a seat on the ground.
Murata was next. She is quiet as they come, so I barely notice her I class apart from lunch time. She sits in the front row of the class, but it slips when mind when it comes to inquiring about the music club even though I have no intention of join.
I am surprised that she even decided to participate at all, considering that the rest of bolder female classmates decided against it.
She nervously took her position, and the whistle was blown.
Two steps into the sprint she toppled over and hit the turf with a crash.
A tiny whimper escaped her lips as she sat on the turf while rubbing her left elbow.
Matsukura grabbed Takanawa’s shoulders and tauntingly said, “Your crush is extremely uncoordinated. I think you should go help her up.”
Takanawa brushed off Matsukura’s hands and replied, “I don’t think the guy who talks a big talk while freezing up at the sight of Fukami-chan should be taunting me.”
Yikes, those are shots fired. I think they should fight then hug it out later.
Meanwhile people weren’t sure whether to laugh or be concerned, but the correct way would be to laugh while picking her up. However, I would advise against that due to her fragile appearance.
Murata slowly got to her feet with the help of Fukami and a girl named Higaki Suuri. She then sat on the sidelines; it appears she gave up 3 seconds into her attempt.
The last girl who wanted to participate is Yasuma Tori. She is the girlfriend of the previously mentioned Imoto Shiba.
I would call her a cute girl, even though she slightly annoys me.
Yasuma took her position, and she was off. Her form is that of a beginner but at the same time, she had some speed.
She crossed the line.
“Yasuma Tori’s time is 12.76 seconds.”
It seems that even though the form was weird, she still clocked in a decent time.
The winner of the female category is Fukami by just a point second. Not bad at all from each participant. You can definitely color me impressed.
Hisoka was still bitter as he approached, Mikhailov and said, “I want a rematch, just you and me.”
Mikhailov brushed him to the side and replied, “I don’t see any reason to compete against someone of your caliber.”
I must admit I chuckled in my head when I heard that. Even if they had a rematch, Mikhailov would demolish him once again and it would only damage his pride even more, so it’s for the best that he got declined.
Blowing her whistle once again Seto-sensei loudly said, “That will be the conclusion of class for today. Now hit the showers.”
Hisoka grumbled under his breath and walked towards the locker room as I got up from my seat.
Everyone else followed suit and headed over there as quickly as possible; the last person to leave is Fukami, as she seemingly gave Tachibana and then me one last look before departing.
Another class is about to occupy the facility in a few minutes, so I should make myself scarce as quickly as possible.
For whatever reason, Tachibana stood still, and her body language gave off that of disappointment. Wanting to check up on her, I said, "Are you ok? Your time was pretty impressive."
Letting out a sigh Tachibana replied, "I didn’t get first place, so I'll consider it a small loss."
Maybe she lives by the phrase "coming in second is just being the first to lose," or she is just fixated on always improving. If it's the second one then that's a great mindset to have at then ending of the day.
Tachibana then left in the direction of the showers, while I slowly trailed behind her.
Multiple questions popped into my head: "Why is she so fixated on winning?" and "What drives her?"
Another mystery that I'm not in the mood to solve.
