Chapter 185 - “He just might have siblings in the future.” (2)
“What is it that you don’t get?” asked Lu Shao, seemingly in a fairly good mood.
“Here. I followed all the steps listed on here but it just doesn’t feel taut. Plus, I wasn’t able to find this buckle that was mentioned here,” said Liu Na’s father as he pointed at the half-finished product not too far away.
Lu Shao only had to glance over there before he figured out what Liu Na’s father had done wrong.
“These few rods that you see here are the support. They need to go outside of the tent.”
“Oh! Is that so?
“Haha, here I was wondering why it looks so odd,” said Liu Na’s father smiled with embarrassment. Then, he pointed a different spot and asked, “And where does this one go?”
Liu Na’s father asked a few more questions after that.
He noticed that Mr. Lu was starting to get impatient. There was a barely detectable frowned that had crossed his face.
“Over there. The lads are working on theirs; you can go see what they are doing,” said Lu Shao as he pointed at the three teenagers who were putting together their own tent.
“Wow, Su Han and his friends are putting together their own tent? Would that be alright?” said Liu Na’s father, surprised, when he looked over at Su Han’s direction.
He had walked around most of the area and this was the first time he saw any family letting the children put together their own tent.
Would the three kids really be able to handle the task?
This was a 4-person tent and it was much more complicated than the single-person ones. A lot of the adults struggled to figure it out.
“What kind of problems could there be?” said Lu Shao casually.
Even though he sounded like he was saying “they could sleep on the ground if they need to” but, in reality, there was no doubt in Lu Shao’s mind that the lad wouldn’t have any problem figuring it out.
Besides, if he paid enough attention, he could even detect a hint of pride if the very unreadable Mr. Lu.
“Haha, yeah, boys are like that,” said Liu Na’s father with a chuckle when he saw that the tent over on Su Han’s side was beginning to take shape.
Lo and behold, after hearing Liu Na’s father’s words, Lu Shao frowned a little and said definitively, “Girls are better.”
Lu Shao recalled a topic that he had read online a few days ago: Girls are all snug little cotton jacket; boys are debt-collectors.

And constantly wanted to become the head of household in this family!
Lu Shao agreed very much with that statement.

“I’ve walked around the camp ground and we can totally score 10 points on this item!” said Du WenTao’s mother as she walked over with a bright smile after a little while. She was carrying two bags of ingredients in her hands.
“Oh, yeah, these are the cooking ingredients for the next two days. They are distributed according to the number of members we have on our team.” Zhou Qin put the bags down on top of the table in front of the tent as she talked. She then said, “But these are only rice and dried goods. I think they said we have to look for other ingredients on our own.”
“Look for them on our own?” Su Ran was a little surprised. “Look where?”
They were in the middle of nowhere.
She suddenly very much wanted to pull out her instant noodles and self-heating hot pot…
Zhou Qin could tell from Su Ran’s look that there were some misunderstandings. She smiled and said, “Right over there. Not too far away. They have everything there.”
Zhou Qin was pointing in the direction of what looked like some sort of a farm.
The talking about looking for food in the wild was just talk.
The camping facilities at West Park was fairly comprehensive already. With the exception of the camp ground, there were also fish pond, vegetable gardens, even a mini orchard and ranches.
What the school meant was for the families to go pick their own vegetables and fish their own fish.
“Oh, I see.” Su Ran let out a sigh of relief and then said, “The school had thought of everything by picking this location.”
“I know, right?”
“Then, Mr. Lu, you can stay here. I will go take a look and bring back some vegetables,” said Su Ran to Lu Shao.
“No need. You have a seat. I will go,” said Lu Shao as he stood up.
“No, no. I can go with Du WenTao’s mother. You can stay and watch over Su Han and the others,” said Su Ran, feeling a little uncomfortable.
Her original intention was to have him come to help out but it would be wrong of her to sit around, do nothing, and let Su Han’s father take care of it all.
“There’s not much there to look at,” said Lu Shao as he glanced over in Su Han’s direction.
