Chapter 238 - "Has Lu BoYang headed to City N yet?" (3)

Lu Shao finally responded with an “alright” after what seemed like a short pause.

“Do you have more competition tomorrow?” asked Lu Shao.

“Yeah, tomorrow will be the second round of the competition.”

Compared to the madness today, the competition tomorrow, with the remaining 30 competitors, would be much more serious.

The competitors would have to play a piece that had to do with one of the six emotions -- serene, happiness, excitement, sadness, angry, or silence – based on the outcome of a raffle. The judges will then score them and 26 of the 30 competitors would move on.

“It starts at 9 AM?” asked Lu Shao.

“Um, yes.” Su Ran was a bit surprised. How was Lu Shao able to guess the time right away?

And, why did he ask?

While she was pondering over that, Lu Shao asked again, “Do you know when you will be done then?”

“Oh, that I don’t know.” After all, each performer would pick their own piece and they would all be different lengths. Then there might be other unforeseeable circumstances during the filming. It might go late or, if they were not able to have it all done in one day, possibly go on till the next day.

“Okay. You get some rest then,” said Lu Shao.

“And, good luck with your competition.”

“Yes, thank you, I shall.”

“Zhou Fu,” said Lu Shao as he turned around and looked at Zhou Fu who was standing next to him, document in hand, after he had finished with his call.

“What can I do for you, Sir?”

“Has Lu BoYang gone to City N yet?”

“Ugh, not yet. I heard that Third Young Sir went to an award ceremony in City S yesterday,” said Zhou Fu. He thought about it for a little bit and said, “Would you like me to reach out to Third Young Sir to head over to City N right now?”

“No, that won’t be necessary,” said Lu Shao with a flash of resentment in his eyes. The resentment, naturally, was directed at his own nephew.

“Arranged for a trip to City N tomorrow,” said Lu Shao again.

Zhou Fu had more or less figured that out when he heard the father and son conversation downstairs. Hearing Lu Shao’s order right now, he understood it right away.

“Sure, Sir.”

“And…” After a little hesitation, Zhou Fu, monitoring Lu Shao’s look carefully, asked cautiously, “Are you really not going to bring the young sir with?”

“Afterall…”

Zhou Fu had yet to finish with what he had prepared to say when he was stopped by a look from Lu Shao.

“We will head out at 7 PM tomorrow.”

Hearing that, Zhou Fu paused for a little, then couldn't help but snickered to himself.

“Yes, Sir. I will have that arranged right away,” said Zhou Fu.

“7 PM might be a bit tight. Why don’t I have yours and the young sir’s dinner prepared for your trip.”

Hearing that, Lu Shao didn’t respond but gave Zhou Fu a meaningful look.

The look from Lu Shao gave Zhou Fu a guilty conscience. He quickly acknowledged Lu Shao’s request, lowered his head, and hid the smile on his face.

“I shall not bother you any longer, Sir,” said Zhou Fu as he cleverly decided to excuse himself from the study.

Zhou Fu had planned to give the good news to Su Han initially. That way further misunderstandings between this father and son could be avoided.

Nevertheless, when Zhou Fu walked over to the Su Han’s bedroom, he discovered that the little young sir had already turned in.

Su Han went to bed at 9 AM for a change.

His purpose was to not have to ride with the scum. So what if it was a bit far? It wasn’t like he didn’t know the way there. As such, early in the morning, Su Han, to the surprise of the butler who didn’t know how to stop him, declined his offer to arrange for a ride for him, and left on his own.

Inside the dining room, seeing that Lu Shao was glancing over at the upstairs from time to time, Zhou Fu added next to him, “Sir, Little Young Sir left early this morning.”

Hearing that, Lu Shao’s eyes flickered and he sneered.

“Em, I’ve called the school and they have confirmed that young sir had arrived.” Zhou Fu added.

After he had finished saying that, Zhou Fu heard Lu Shao said in a deep voice, “No need to call the school next time this happens.

“He’s old enough to not get lost,” said Lu Shao weightlessly. There was a hint of pride amidst the resentment in his tone?
