Chapter 263 - “You need to work on your ability in music appreciation.” (2)

“You!”

Su Han got what Lu Shao was saying.

“Go that way. Our spots are over there,” said Lu Shao as he pointed at one of the spots within the 100 or so spots in the audience area before Su Han could say anything else.

“Where?” Su Han looked over in the direction that Lu Shao was pointing at. Sure enough, in the middle of the slightly back area, there were two empty spots.

Except that……

“You’ve already pulled strings. Why didn’t you just get us first row seats?” Su Han grumbled as he glanced over at Lu Shao.

When looking at the first row seats, the envy belonging to a young man his age was unconcealable.

“You can get that yourself when you have the ability to,” said Lu Shao very nonchalantly.

“As for why I didn’t do that.” Pausing, Lu Shao gave Su Han a look before he carried on, “You are too ugly. I didn’t want you to embarrass your mother in the front row.”

“You are ugly!”

Did he just call him ugly? He was 100 times handsomer than this Lu guy, alright?

Su Han grumbled to himself, except that, all of his resentment toward Lu Shao was already written clearly on his face.

Lu Shao didn’t pay too much attention to his son’s retort.

He had his reasons of not having Su Han sat in the front row.

Partly because he didn’t want Su Ran distracted when she saw them.

More importantly, it was for Su Han’s sake.

Su Han might, in the future, became the leader of the Lu family. Perhaps someone even more authoritative than Lu Shao himself. Nevertheless, he was just a 13-year-old boy right now. He shouldn’t be exposed in the public’s spotlight too soon.

As they had “pulled strings”, the competition had not yet started when the two of them arrived.

As such, Lu Shao and Su Han were able to enjoy the entire competition.

Lu Shao had already received the order of the competitions prior to them arriving at the venue.

Su Ran drew number 17, which was closer toward the end.

Lu Shao couldn’t care less about any other competitors other than Su Ran. Nevertheless, to be somewhat respectful toward the other competitors, he would look at the competitor on stage looking like he was paying attention from time to time.

Nevertheless, he looked nonchalant the entire time and, in fact, when he heard melodies that he didn’t like, he would even frown slightly.

Su Han, sitting next to him, didn’t even bother to pretend. He was swiping away on his phone boringly.

The fool Liu Yangyang had finally sent Su Han the homework assignments for the holidays.

[Liu Yangyang]: Brother Han, the two pictures that I have sent you were all of the homework assignments for the holidays.

[Liu Yangyang]: Listen to me, Brother Han, I didn’t purposefully send them to you late. Don’t beat me up.

[Liu Yangyang]: Let me tell you. My grandma brought me back to the old house in the village two days ago. There is no internet at home. I took me forever to find a corner store with wifi and I sent them over to you as soon as I could.

Su Han didn’t care too much about Liu Yangyang’s explanation. Although, he was a bit curious at the “two days” that he had mentioned.

[Han]: Two days?

If he wasn’t mistaken. Today should be the first day of the vacation.

[Liu Yangyang]: Oh yeah, I guess you haven’t heard about it yet!

[Liu Yangyang]: Let me tell you, our school had been too kind and too thoughtful!

[Liu Yangyang]: You didn’t come back the next day. The rest of us went to school the next day and guess what happened?

We had just reached the classroom when Teacher Wang came in and said to us that for sake of the students’ safety during the holidays, the school will let us out a day early. All we needed to do was to copy down the homework assignments and we could take off.

[Liu Yangyang]: Everybody was going nuts from excitement.

Liu Yangyang had been envious of Brother Han’s 8-day vacation. Nobody expected that their happiness would come so suddenly.

Liu Yangyang sent over more texts afterward. Something about their school being better and more thoughtful than other schools, etc.

Su Han didn’t care much about that.

Nevertheless, reading about the texts that Liu Yangyang had sent over earlier, Su Han lowered his eyes a little and a hint of suspicion crossed his mind. He glanced over at Lu Shao reflexively.
