Chapter 307 - She was a maestro? Su Han didn't believe in that one bit. (1)
Exchanging a look, the father and son reached an understanding.
“Keep working on that review. I won’t stay too long. Your mom still has a competition tomorrow,” said Lu Shao on his way out as though he was trying to comfort the emotions of a certain child.
When Lu Shao went over, Su Ran was just cleaning up the cola that she drank earlier and the fruit plate that she ordered just for the ceremonious feel.
“Let me help?” asked Lu Shao when he saw Su Ran doing dishes. He had already unbuttoned his sleeves and rolled them up to help her out.
“No, no. I am fine. It’s just a couple of plates.”
With Lu Shao’s “urging”, Su Ran quickly finished the dishes.
“Em, let’s go talk over there,” said Su Ran as she pointed in the direction of the living room.
“Alright.” Lu Shao nodded as he noticed Su Ran’s hair that was still wet.
“Your hair is still wet,” said Lu Shao.
“Oh, yeah, I just washed them.”
“Let me help you?” asked Lu Shao, his eyes sparkling a little.
Su Ran’s neck turned stiff and a strange look crossed her face when she heard that.
“Ahem. No, no need. I can do it myself.” Su Ran declined him in a very straightforward manner.
“Oh, sorry,” said Lu Shao in a deep voice.
What he was thinking was that what he read from the forums were of no help at all.
“Why don’t you blow dry your hair first then?” said Lu Shao as he frowned at Su Ran’s wet hair. He had already returned to his calm self.
“It’s alright. Why don’t we have our conversation first……”
Su Ran was about to suggest for them to get their discussion out of the way when Lu Shao interrupted her in a decisive tone, “I’ll wait.”
The atmosphere became awkward all of a sudden.
“Alright. Give me a few minutes. It won’t take long.” For the sake of running away from that inexplicable awkward atmosphere, Su Ran went to the bathroom decisively.

She returned after five minutes and was taken aback a little when she saw Lu Shao sitting properly on the couch.
“Can I get you a glass of water?” asked Su Ran.
“Sure.”
“With ice.”
Su Ran walked over and thought she had hallucinated when she heard the voice coming from behind her.
It was a cold day and late at night. She didn’t even add ice when she had her cola earlier.
It crossed her mind to remind Lu Shao that drinking cold drink at this hour was bad but, after a slight hesitation, she decided against it. She located the ice cubes from the refrigerator and put them inside the glass.
“Did you want to ask me about the matters with the Su family?” ask Su Ran point blank when she sat down in front of Lu Shao.
“If you don’t mind,” said Lu Shao as he looked steadily at Su Ran.
Su Ran nodded when she heard that.
“It was no big deal, really.
“I don’t know much about my parents……” said Su Ran with a frown.
“I know about that.”
“Huh?”
“I’ve looked into that when I did some digging on the other incident before.”
“Oh, I see. In that case, there aren’t much I can say about myself. You know that I had been banished by my family. It may have something to do with my parent’s passing but mainly it was because of me……”
“I know. You don’t need to tell me that.”
“Em. Alright. Let’s talk about what happened today then.
“The Su family seems to be interested in returning to the domestic market……”
Lu Shao did not interrupt her this time but gave her all of his attention.
“All in all, I think that the Su family reached out to me this time because of what you had said in the past and they thought they could take advantage of that.” Su Ran summarized it for Lu Shao.
