Chapter 340 - "I like days like this." (1)
“So, you want me to help you put it on?”
“Sure,” said Lu Shao with his lips curving upward.
Seeing that he had nodded, Su Ran quickly removed the apron from the bag and turned it toward herself so that Lu Shao couldn’t see the front of it.
“Lower your head some, please.”
“Okay.” Lu Shao turned around and lowered his head as he was asked.
“Okay, now turn around.”
“Tie it like that?” said Lu Shao as he looked at Su Ran. There was a rare hint of playfulness in his usually calm eyes. There also seemed to be a hint of anticipation.
Su Ran, too, chuckled when she realized what he was talking about.*
“In your dreams.
“Hurry up and turn around around.”
Lu Shao looked at Su Ran again, smiled, and turned back around.
“Alright.” Su Ran nodded in content after he tied the straps of the apron into a perfect bow behind Lu Shao.
She took a step back and left room in the kitchen for Lu Shao.
“Puuuuuf…..”
Looking at the man in front of her who still had his custom0made white shirt that he had on earlier with the pink apron with fuzzy straps and half of the front being taken up by an unicorn of the same color, Su Ran finally busted out laughing.
Only her son’s dad who was here for the first time would let her have her ways.
Had it been Su Han, recalling that resentful and contemptuous look that he had on him when she bought the apron, Su Ran shook her head.
Su Han wouldn’t have done it to save his own life.
“Funny, huh?” said Lu Shao as he turned around.
“Ahem, no,” said Su Ran as she tried very hard to control the muscles on her face from spasming.
“Mr. Lu was as handsome as always,” said Su Ran as she blinked. As though worried that she didn’t sound sincere enough, she added specifically, “Really.”
Upon hearing that, Lu Shao shook his head helplessly. He turned back around to tend to his stir frying.
The tenderness in his eyes, however, remained.
“Em, Daddy Su Han.”
“Hmm?”
“Can I take a photo?” asked Su Ran with a look full of anticipation.
Su Ran was in the habit of taking a household photo or two of her son from time to time. Sometimes it was a handsome shot and sometimes a goofy one.
Right now, looking at Lu Shao who was like an upgraded version of her son, she could barely contain her desire to take photos.
Lu Shao, taken aback a little, nodded and said casually, “Sure.”
“Really?”

“Really.”
“Okay, then carry on. Just pretend that I am not here.” Having said that, she emphasized, “Don’t worry, I promise you will look good in all of them.”
Having said that, as though worried that Patriarch Lu would change his mind, Su Ran quickly open up her photo app on her phone and took a bunch of photos immediately.
Sure enough, Lu Shao was equally comical in his photo.
Haha.
Su Ran put her phone away calmly as she tried not to laugh out loud.
“Childish……”
At some point in time, Su Han had walked past the kitchen and made the comment when he saw the two in the kitchen.
This woman certainly had her childish moment from time to time.
But since when did the Lu guy’s IQ dropped too?
Su Ran was taken aback a little when she heard Su Han’s words.
Did her son just call her childish?
Em, alright, maybe sometimes.
In the past, many of the times when Su Ran was acting childish around Su Han, she was doing that just to mess around with her son.
Except that……
Ever since she had been with Lu Shao, she noticed that her being childish was all subconscious.
How was she like around him in the past? She seemed to remember that she hadn’t been this childish.
Su Ran couldn't help but frowned a little and reflected upon herself.
She returned to what a “solemn” mother should be like and look straight at her son.
“Classmate Su Han, are you done with your homework?”
“No……” He was contemplating whether he should just redo any of the homework.
That ought to kill some more time.
“Then why aren’t you working on them? What are you doing out here?”
“I come to get a drink of water,” said Su Han in a deep voice as he reflexively looked away.
He would never admit that he was curious what the two of them were doing out here.
He was just bored after he was done with him homework and wanted to wander around some.
“Then hurry up and finish it. We will let you know when dinner is ready.”
“Oh.” Never mind. He’d just start from the beginning one more time.
