A few days had already passed since Mr. Horse brought me to the griffon's nest.
Yes, Mr. Horse is with me. The horse and the griffon are somehow getting along, even though they are probably separate entities. While I say my goal is to find a goal, I am having trouble at the moment coming up with what I want to do or how I want to live my life.
I am probably a godchild, although I am not sure. But I also wonder if everything is permissible just because I am a godchild. I was shunned in the village where I was born and raised, but I wonder if my mother and father would have changed their attitude if they had found out that I was a godchild instead of my older sister, and it gives me mixed feelings.
As soon as I wake up in the morning, I first go to wash my face. I get a ride on the griffon to the river and wash my face. I also get some water to drink. In the griffon's nest, there are many knick-knacks collected by the griffons, including a water bottle, so I clean it and use it.
Griffons drink water by dipping their mouths into the river, so the baby griffons used to look at me strangely when I was using the water bottle.
I never thought I would be able to get along with a gryphon, a demon that I would never see if I lived in a village.
It might be a godchild,......, and the reason I thought so was because I didn't happen to encounter any demons or happen to get any food. And yet the horse was kind to me. But if you ask me if all ...... demons are friendly to me, I think that's different. And if all creatures are friendly to me in the first place, it doesn't explain why my family and the people in the village were behaving like that. Maybe it depends on the creature or something.
But even thinking about it, I honestly don't know.
If I had been officially taken in by the temple as a godchild, I might have known what the successive godchildren had been like.
There is no particular job I can do in the griffon nest.
The griffons hunt and return, but to be honest, I am not capable of hunting any living creature. I never learned how to do that. I've heard that some of the gods and godchildren use some amazing magic, so I think I may be able to use it at ......, but I can't use it right away if I haven't learned it yet.
By the way, I eat food that Mr. Griffon hunted and roasted over a fire. The fire was provided by Mr. Horse. Who are you really, Mr. Horse?
...... griffon, sir."
I talk to the griffons. It seems that the griffons can understand my words, and they respond when I call out to them.
Still, I haven't talked to them much, so I'm not very good at talking.
I turned to the gryphon and said, "I also want to work at .
The gryphon made a gesture as if thinking for a moment and said something. I'm not sure what he's saying, but he seems to understand my words.
Gururrrrrrrrrrrrrr."
I'm sorry, I don't understand.
Gurruu.........."
The gryphon was dejected. I'm sorry, but I really don't understand.
It would be best if I could exchange words with Mr. Griffon,....... I can understand some of their gestures, but it's hard to tell what they're saying from the details in their cries.
I wish I could understand the language of griffons.
I would like to give something back to the griffons and the horses, since they have been so kind to me. What can I do? I am only seven years old, and although I am considered a godchild, I have no idea what I can do, so I feel useless and a little depressed.
I was depressed and Ma-san took me for a walk.
I was so depressed that Mr. Horse took me for a walk. ...... Hmmm, I wonder what would make Mr. Horse and the griffons happy. Oh, the little griffons seem to be happy when I stroke them, so I wondered if they would be happy if I brushed them. I thought of something like that. But one problem is that I don't have a brush. I wondered if there might be one in Griffon's collection.
So, after returning from my walk with the horse, I searched for the brush. I found them. Or rather, there were a lot of them. Maybe they have a habit of bringing the brushes when they find them? I don't know, but after I washed the brushes once, I went in front of the baby griffons and they came at me with sparkling eyes, so I think they will be happy to be brushed.
"Ouch, no ......?"
I asked as I ran the brush through the gryphon, which of course was the first time I had ever brushed a gryphon. The gryphon's bushy fur is very comfortable to the touch. I was delighted to hear them squeal with pleasure.
After brushing the baby griffons, I brushed all the adult griffons and the horses, who looked at me as if they wanted me to brush them, too.
After I finished brushing them all, I felt a sense of accomplishment.

(Probably, the girl who is a godchild is relaxing with the griffon.)
