The Record on Kamiko

Recorder: Landono Stoffer

This is a record of Lelunda (*1), who is presumed to be a divine child.

1 Although there is some reluctance to address a girl who is a child of God, I have done so at her request.

First of all, what kind of being is a godchild? Let us summarize.

A child of God

The land where they live will prosper.

The land where he lives will prosper.

They can give blessings and make "knights.

He has special powers.

That's about all we know. There is really not much information about the godchild. The most recent record of his appearance is a hundred years ago. He appears in this world from time to time.

Although I am a researcher of the divine child, the only information that remains about the divine child is what is written in the literature.

Next, I will summarize the information on Lerunda, who is thought to be a divine child.

Lelunda

Seven years old

Brown hair and eyes

About 120cm tall

Silent

She acts like a small animal.

He seems to have an aptitude for recovery magic.

He has made contracts with gryphons and sky horses.

According to the record in the literature, the country that Kamiko hated had a miserable end. It was said that if one offended a god child, he or she would be in serious trouble. However, at present, the Kingdom of Fairytorov has not experienced any disasters as described in the literature.

It is true that changes are gradually taking place in the Kingdom of Fairytorov, but whether they are the same as the disasters described in the literature is a different question.

The lack of disasters in the Kingdom of Fairytorov can be attributed to Lerunda's character. Despite the fact that Lelunda was neglected and abandoned, she did not seem to have any hatred toward the kingdom of Fairytorov.

In short, whether or not a disaster occurs may depend on the feelings of the godchild. Lelunda does not harbor any negative feelings toward the Kingdom of Fairytorov. We were able to hear some of what Lelunda's old life was like from the man himself, but we can only say that it was a very difficult routine for a young child. However, after listening to the stories of the past, I thought again that Lerunda was a godchild.

Because, normally, if a child is not fed, he or she will starve to death. There is no way that he could have conveniently found something to eat. It is also impossible that he would not be violently attacked by chance.

To begin with, the village where that Lelunda was born and raised was suffering from an insect infestation when I visited. The harvesting of food was not going well, and the village looked gloomy. He said that this was not the case, at least not during Lelunda's stay in the village. Since Lerunda was said to have been neglected in the village, he would have been the first one to be cut off if there had been no food in the village. Perhaps, because Lelunda was a godchild, she was prevented from being in such a situation.

Alice-sama - no, it seems that Alice, because of her beautiful appearance, was paid tribute for various things in that village, which was prosperous for a remote village. This is what we know from the testimonies of the villagers, Alice and Lelunda.

However, the reason why such a situation existed in the first place was probably due to the existence of a godchild named Lernda in that village. And the reason why the kingdom of Fairytorov had a good harvest was probably so that Lelunda would not starve. I assume that if the kingdom had a poor harvest, there is no telling how it would affect Lerunda, who lives in a remote village.

It is said that the influence of a godchild varies depending on the god who loves the godchild. Currently, it is not certain which god Lelunda is favored by. However, it seems that there are things that can be seen when looking around Lelunda.

For example, the griffon and skyhorse with which Lernda has a contract. What these two types of demons have in common is that they can fly. Perhaps they are gods related to the sky and flight. Or perhaps they are gods related to the griffon and the skyhorse, regardless of their similarities. We do not know at present.

Next, let's look at the relationship between the beasts and Lelunda. It is extremely good. I thought that it might be a god who has a close relationship with the beastmen, but I have a feeling that this is not the case, as far as I have heard Athos, the head of the beastmen's village, talk about it. Mr. Athos was very wary of Lerunda at first.

The beastmen of this village, who live in the forest, revered the gryphon as if it were a god. It is impossible not to be wary of a human girl who spends her days with a griffon, a god. In addition, there are many human nations, including the Kingdom of Fairytorov, my hometown, that have slaves who are beasts. There are a certain number of human beings who consider non-human species as slaves. It is natural for beastmen to be wary of humans because of this. Lelunda has been able to overcome this wariness in her daily life, and has become a part of the beastmen's village. When I first spoke with Lernda, the beastmen looked on with concern. They were looking at me with concern, because they were wary of me.

Lerunda lives freely in the beastmen's village. According to Gaius, a beastman boy who is good friends with Lelunda, Lelunda made friends, was happy to be patted on the head, and seemed to be happy to experience for the first time what she would have experienced in her normal life. Lelunda is happy to be living in this village.

Lelunda refers to the griffons and skyhorse as her family. She considers her parents and sister, Alice, who are now in Agatta, to be her family. Lelunda does not hate her parents or her sister, nor does she have any affection for them, but only recognizes them as family.

Lelunda says that not much of acting of her own volition was in the village where she was born and raised. If Lelunda had acted of her own will and lived spontaneously in the village, something like the miracle (*2) that took place in the beastman's village would have happened and the country would have been able to detect the divine child immediately.

2 The miracle that Lerunda cured a dying beastman, which is said to have happened before I visited the beastman's village.

Lerunda is living happily in the beastman's village. She listens to the villagers' requests, studies magic, plays with gryphons and skyhorses, and listens to my stories about the divine child.

The land where Lerunda, perhaps the divine child, lives and loves is surprisingly fertile. The beasts, unaware of the fact that Lerunda is probably the Son, are talking about how this is a good year.

If this bountiful harvest continues next year and the year after that, I can be sure again that Lerunda is the Son of God.

I believe that Lerunda is a godchild, but he said that he doesn't know, only that he might be a godchild. The temple in the kingdom of Fairytorov is out of the question because there is no one who can receive oracles, but if I could meet the high priests of other countries, I might be able to find out whether Lelunda is a godchild or not. However, I am not sure if that opportunity will ever arise.

It has only been a few days since I set foot in this beastman village. The beastmen are wary of me, but as a researcher, I can say that I am happy to be able to see the girl, who is probably a godchild, up close and personal.

My current goal is to somehow be accepted as a member of the village by the villagers of this beastman village, and to pursue the existence of the "godchild.

---- Woman's Record

(The woman in the beastman's village probably records the girl who is the godchild)
