Chapter 6: Chapter 6: The Witch Queen (Part 1)

There was once a powerful witch that ruled the lands, she was neither cruel nor giving at first. Her philosophy was if you give me what I want, I will give you something in return. What the particular Witch wanted was not riches or more land, but mana, the source of power for all witches and wizards' spells. This Witch had an ability and that ability allowed her to suck the mana out of another person’s body and increase and restore her own mana pool making her spells even more powerful. She would allow the others she would bite to bite her to restore their life energy and become her servant for eternity...

2 Years from the Present

“Lady Emily, Lady Emily, it is time to wake up.” (May)

“Yaaawn, Good Morning, May, I asked you to call me Emily when we are alone.” (Emily)

“Ah, sorry Emily, I still get a little nerv...nervous calling you by just your name.” (May)

“It’s no problem, May, I understand. How is my mother doing?” (Emily)

“Not well, from what my Father and Mother told me, that did tell that found the last special ingredient you said you needed in order to save your mother, but...” (May)

“They found it, what’s the problem, what is it?” (Emily)

“The area it is surrounded by a group of powerful witches and wizards in the cult that are after you and your mother. The academy sent several powerful adventurers to retrieve but they either came extremely injured or not at all.” (May)

“Those poor people, I don’t want any more innocent people dying or getting hurt because of me, I will take care of this myself. Where is the area?” (Emily)

“In the highlands about 30 miles from here surprisingly, here is the exact longitude and latitude and distance.” (May)

While saying such May such where the area is on the map, and it gives me an idea, and considering the distance it shouldn't use much mana, I’m going to try it...

“Okay, I’m heading out for a bit.” (Emily)

“Wait, I don’t think you should go alone, it is very dangerous, I know you are strong and the Witch of Legend, but still.” (May)

“May, I understand how you feel, but I don’t want you going and getting hurt, I don’t want to put you in danger, I care about you. Now please stand back.” (Emily)

After May stands back contemplating something I begin a new chant I came up with, while having the exact location I want to go to in my head...

“Oh, space that which we dwell in, oh time that which we pass in, come together so that we can reach our destination that much quicker, Telepor...” (Emily)

“Ehh! I’m coming to!” (May)

“...tation...” (Emily)

“For now, let’s find that ingredient and try to sneak around so we don’t get caught, I will use the basic search spell now.” (Emily)

“Oh, spirits guide me to what to I seek, search the herb, ingenia.” (Emily)

“Did you find it?” (May)

“Yes I did, lets head over there now. Follow me.” (Emily)

“Very well, I’m right behind you.” (May)

We begin heading our way to the ingredient that I needed to make my Mother’s, when we reached our destination, May stated…

“I will keep watch you run and get the herb, hurry.” (May)

“Thank you, I will hurry.” (Emily)

After I state as such, I run and cut the herb off the vine when I hear a loud scream and slam…

“Aaaaaaghh!!!! Baaam!” (???)

“When I turn around to see what happened, I see a hulking brute of a wizard using physical enhancement magic, and May lying on the ground coughing up blood…” (Emily)
