“So… Mian, are you reminding me to take care of myself? You care about me, right?” Huo Siqian sounded like a happy child.
“You’re thinking too much, I don’t care about you. I just don’t want to see your body at South Side,” Huo Mian replied icily.
“I don’t care, I’m just happy hearing what you said,” Huo Siqian replied gently over the phone.
Huo Mian: “I’m hanging up now.”
“Wait,” Huo Siqian said quickly.
Huo Mian: “What?”
Huo Siqian: “Mian… can you go on vacation for the next little while?”
“What?” Huo Mian frowned, not sure what Huo Siqian was getting at.
“Mian, you, your husband, and your children should all go on vacation. Leave the country, go to Bali, Saipan, the Maldives… Anywhere you want to. You should all go.”
“Why?” Huo Mian asked; why would Huo Siqian tell her to leave the country all of a sudden?
“Because of all the things happening in C City. I don’t want you to freak out… After all, all these murders are frightening.”
“You don’t have to worry about that. I’m a doctor and I deal with dead people on a daily basis… Anyways, goodbye.” Huo Mian hung up the phone, unwilling to deal with Huo Siqian anymore.
All she wanted was to find out if Huo Siqian was behind these incidents since Mo Xue’er was directly connected to him. However, it seemed like he really wasn’t involved. But if that was the case, who was it?
Huo Siqian, on the other end of the line, was more worried than ever. He seemed to know the person behind all these incidents, but he didn’t have the guts to investigate.
He didn’t want to knock on the devil’s door…

“Come in,” Huo Siqian called out to the guard outside his door.
“Sir.”
“Have more people watching Mian, keep a close tab on her wherever she goes. Be on alert for anything that may happen.”
“Yes, Sir.”

– At a castle in the rural area of Moscow –
“Miss Lu, you can’t leave.” A tall Russian bodyguard blocked Lu Yan’s way. Today, she was wearing a white cashmere jacket and a scarf made of fox fur. Her brown, slightly curly hair fell down to her shoulders, and her flawless features made her a sight to see.
“F*ck off…” Lu Yan replied icily. She wasn’t joking around.
“Miss Lu, please don’t make it difficult for us. Young Master gave us orders to not let you leave.”
“Do I look like I care? Even Qiao Fei can’t stop me if he tries. Get out of my face, or else don’t blame me for killing all of you.”
“Miss Lu…” The bodyguard’s voice trailed off as he saw Lu Yan pull out a silver gun and point it at his forehead in between his eyebrows.
All the assassins in the world knew how accurate Lu Yan’s shots were. The bodyguard immediately froze; he knew this young woman wasn’t kidding, and that his life literally meant nothing to her.
Just then, an icy voice interrupted them. “Yan, what are you doing now?”
Lu Yan turned around to see Qiao Fei walk towards them. He was wearing a Russian army uniform, and his silver hair shone in the night.
“Psycho Qiao, perfect timing. Tell them to f*ck off, I need to be somewhere.”
“No, I’m not letting you go anywhere.” Qiao Fei replied without hesitation.
“Qiao Fei, did you know? Ian’s in C City, my sister and her family are in danger!” Lu Yan said anxiously.
