“Alright, let’s do this.”
The skeletons were in two rows of five in from of her and before they could even begin to move Tisha commanded the orb again to blast the nearest skeleton and it did just that. The blast radius was enough to catch three others. Two from either side and one behind, the shockwave pushing the others away from the smoldering crater. Tisha noted that despite the stone floor being completely vaporized, the bones from the skeletons remained but in various terrible states of breaking and charring.
Quite tough, definitely can not be only on the level of human bones.
Clicking and clacking all thew way the other six skeletons move with inhuman speed crossing the distance between them in less than a second. She commanded the orb to fire again in a bit of a panic and…nothing. The orb did not follow the command, no it could not. She could tell that it still followed her will, but it was incapable of firing the beam it had used earlier, almost like it was on a cooldown. No. overheated.
On instinct she dropped low arms at the ready, dodging a sword swing too fast for the human eye to follow she stepped into assailant fist first. Her feet shifting quickly to cross the short distance and ending with her arm extending into a punch aimed at the solar plexus in a single swift movement. A small shockwave from the fist blew her hair back and the skeleton blew apart from the force of the blow.
It was so incredibly graceful that she stopped at a start. She had always been good at the Aurum Arts a genius for her age of twenty-six according to her family. But she had never found the Swift Step into Crushing Blow that effortless, and it was certainly leagues above its usual level in power. Her surprise almost resulted in her being bisected by another sword swing if she did not yet again step into the attack her left forearm slamming into the wrist bones holding the weapon and the right arm grabbing the skeleton’s upper arm. She felt her strength, speed everything was far above anything that should be normal. Maneuvering the skeleton’s entire body to use as a body shield against the onslaught of the other four, one of them sliced right through the spine and most of the ribcage from behind before getting stuck.
She held on, staying under the skeleton’s large body. That was until she realizes it was still moving. She should have expected that really. They were moving skeletons, only complete obliteration or a very debilitating attack should put them down. That was her theory based on how she beat the others anyway.
She yanked it down slamming her shoulder into its ribcage and making sure the blade stuck in its body did not reach her. Its arm came apart at the shoulder as the skeleton fell back from the force of the blow straight into another enemy. She used the arm to deflect another sword swing coming at her. Its sword scarping down the length of the arm and smashing into the wrist still gripping the weapon. Before the broadsword could hit the ground she caught its pommel with her foot kicking the weapon’s handle up to her hands in time to block another attack coming at her.
An overhead swing that she blocked with her own weapon horizontally above her head in a two-handed grip. The weapon was comically large on her at one point five meters in length despite clearly being a weapon that should be used in one hand by giants. Its grip was also a little too large for the same reason it would have also been too heavy if her strength was not on an entirely different realm from before. She turned the enemy’s blade aside with her own, kicking the off-balance skeleton away as another two came at her.
The one that lost its weapon and arm had actually gone back to pick up another weapon from one of the skeleton’s she blew apart earlier. She was surprised, she had not expected them to be that smart. Her family’s martial arts were perfectly useable with melee weapons and thus she was capable of fighting just fine with a sword. Though she far preferred her fists. Using the swift step again to push off the ground with such power and grace that it was like she glided over it eating up the separation between them. She sliced diagonally before the one on her left could raise its weapon in defense. The attack was powerful enough to completely split the skeleton from its left should to its right hip.
Her stats were clearly higher than these creatures. And she suspected that her dexterity and agility massively improved her use of the Aurum arts. The other skeleton was too slow to catch her before she backed off with the other two skeletons rushing at her from her side. The one with a missing arm trailing behind now holding another sword in its left arm. Her orb was capable of firing again.
As if they could sense that, the last four spread out, again showing intelligence. They had not dismissed the possibility that she could use that attack from the moment they saw it. That was why they did not pile on her all at once, ignoring that it was also hard to land attacks if multiple allies were all over the same target. Especially when said target was far smaller than any of you.
Grinning, she charged again swinging the sword in a horizontal slash from a distance before she reached the closest skeleton. The skeleton she targeted raised its blade to its right side in defense. She slowed down right before her attack would have landed causing the weapon to swing past and using its weight and momentum, she brought her left shoulder into another tackle. She charged into the skeleton shoulder first slamming it into another behind it.
She chased on not letting them recover, an upwards slice from the crotch was enough to split the first one apart. Just as the last two skeletons closed in on her position. She dropped her sword and grabbed the fallen one’s sword arm from under its ally’s halves pulling it along as tripped it making sure it could not get a grip on the floor. Its other arm came at her and she just barely ducked taking a glancing blow to her temple.

She could barely feel the attack however, thanks to her toughness she supposed. Having felt the force of their blows she could assume that most of their stats were at G-, which was apparently still massively above that of a human but in turn solidly below hers.
She dropped low throwing its weight over her, she did not have any momentum from its movement so had to throw its full weight forwards over her should. It collided with the last two in a pile of broken and dislocated bones and pieces. She then followed up with a command to her orb. The orb complied turn them into a burning pile of said bones.
