Chapter 14: 13 – Class 1-A

Kasumi's parents drop her off at the gates of UA about an hour early, as Kasumi wants to see Uraraka and Tsu. As she gets to the gate, she notices a few kids already there. One in particular, is horn-brows.

She walks up to him and says,

"Oi, horn-brows, what's your name?"

Ida jumps a little bit, not expecting someone to talk to him as the people who arrive early are generally the kind to keep to themselves. Turning around and seeing who it is, he notices it as the delinquent girl who yelled at him at the entrance ceremony.

"They let in people with your attitude? They really don't care about their prestigious image do they? I am Tenya Ida."

Kasumi looks at him with a look of "you dick" and turns around, ignoring him.

Ida looks at her and calls out,

"It's customary to introduce yourself after someone introduces themselves."

Kasumi looks at him and says,

"You'll learn my name soon enough, look for number one on the exam list. I don't tell jerks my name."

Then Kasumi storms off, waiting for Uraraka and Tsu in a different location. Uraraka gets there in an old car, and is quickly greeted by Kasumi. Kasumi runs up and hugs her. She waits for her ride to drive away then pecks her on the lips.

A few minutes later, Tsu arrives and gets the same treatment from both of them.

Eventually, the gigantic metal gate opens up and lets the students in. Kasumi grabs both Uraraka and Tsu's hands and leads them over to the gigantic board in front of the school that says [CLASSES AND RANKINGS!]. Kasumi's eyes immediately go to the top right of the board.

[1. Kaneda Kasumi - 198]

[2. Ida Tenya - 132]

[3. Yaoyorozu Momo - 128]

[4…..]

....

[7. Tsuyu Asui - 116]

[8. Ochaco Uraraka - 113]

[9. Izuku Midoriya - 109]

[21. Minoru Mineta - 61]

Kasumi tilts her head in confusion,

"Wasn't class 1-A only supposed to have 20 students?"

Uraraka nods her head,

"Yeah, it was. I dunno how this 'Mineta' person managed to get in with such a pathetically low score. Even people in 1-B had higher than 100 points."

Kasumi shrugs her shoulders and looks at her,

"I guess even heroes need cannon fodder."

Tsu bops both of them on the head,

"Be nice! There must be a reason the teaching staff put him in 1-A."

Kasumi notices a little grape trying to get a view up Tsu's skirt and sends a finger of energy towards his crotch. She flicks with about a quarter of her power, making the boy crumple over in pain and yell out.

Kasumi gives him a second to recover and says,

"Oi, grape flavored pervert, what's your name?"

He sits up and breathes in sharply,

"Mineta…"

Tsu looks back up at the board and says,

"Nevermind. I can't think of a single reason they'd ever let him in."

The three leave the boy there to wallow in his own pain and head to the classroom. As they get there, they hear two abrasive voices yelling at one another, and see Deku standing in front of the door.

Kasumi sneaks up on him and grabs his shoulders, making him let out an "EEK!" in response.

Then, Ida notices him and walks up to him,

"Hello I'm Ida Tenya from Soumei-"

"Oh yeah, haha, I overheard. Uhh… I'm Midoriya. Nice to meet you, Ida…"

"Midoriya… I must hand it to you. You divined the actual nature of the practical skills exam, didn't you? I… Was blind to it! And I completely misread you! I hate to admit it, but you were the better man!"

Deku, meanwhile, has a look on his face that says "I had no idea".

Then, Ida looks over at Kasumi and bows deeply,

"I must apologize for my rude actions this morning. I was deeply nervous about my status in the class. I mistook you for a delinquent! I have no excuses for my actions."

Kasumi looks at him with a surprised look,

'Wow, usually guys like him don't apologize so readily'

"It's fine. I was rude too for calling you horn-brows. Let's get along, Ida."

She sticks her hand out for a hand shake. Then, he notices her hands are silver. He's taken aback for a second, then takes her hand and shakes it. He notices how hard her hand is and figures it's her quirk.

Uraraka shakes Izuku's hand, which earns a one-way blush on his part. Tsu decides to introduce herself to other people for a second. Kasumi notices Bakago's hateful glare at Izuku and is about to say something before a tired voice comes from the door,

"If you're gonna be hunting for buddies, do it elsewhere."

Everyone looks at the orange worm creature in the hallway before it pulls a juice pouch up to its mouth and says,

"This is the department… OF HEROICS *SLURRRRRRRRRP*"

Everyone kind of murmurs for a while before the man gets out of his cocoon and speaks up,

"Hmm, it took you lot 8 seconds to quiet down. Life is short, kids. You're all lacking in common sense."

Izuku scans him up and down trying to find out the guys hero name.

"I'm your homeroom teacher, Aizawa Shouta. Pleasure meeting you."

He then pulls uniforms from behind his lectern and sets them out,

"Wear these. Immediately. And then shove off to the PE grounds. You're doing a quirk apprehension test."
