Ch 2. Shells Town

Naruto slowly regained consciousness, the frigid air biting at his skin as he lay sprawled in the snow-covered forest. The remnants of his battle with the mysterious warrior still fresh in his mind, he groaned as he pushed himself to his feet. He was covered in snow and his clothes were rent, his body bearing the evidence of the intense fight. He looked around, trying to orient himself, but all he saw was a sea of white. He had no idea where he was or how to get back home.

With a determination born of necessity, he set out through the deep snow, his body protesting with each step. He searched for a town, a village, any sign of civilization that would indicate that he was not alone in this wilderness. But all he found was more snow, more cold, and more pain.

As he trudged forward, his footing unsteady, he stumbled and fell, his body too weak to continue. He lay there, his breath coming in ragged gasps, his mind filled with thoughts of defeat. He closed his eyes, ready to give up, when he heard a voice.

"Mom, look! There's someone there!" said a young girl's voice.

Naruto's eyes snapped open and he struggled to sit up. He saw a young girl, no more than ten years old, standing a few feet away from him. She had long brown hair, and her eyes were wide with curiosity.

"Who are you?" Naruto croaked, his voice barely above a whisper.

"I'm Rika," the girl said, her voice filled with excitement. "And this is my mom, Ririka."

Naruto looked up and saw a woman, who looked to be in her thirties, standing beside the girl. She had a kind face, and her eyes were filled with concern.

"Where am I?" Naruto asked, his voice barely audible.

"You're in Shells Town," Ririka said, her voice gentle. "It's a small town, but it's home. Though it's not a very big place, it's a nice place to live, despite the harsh winter."

Ririka and Rika helped Naruto to stand up and they walked to their tavern. They offered him some warm soup and bread. Naruto was grateful and thanked them. After eating and resting, Naruto talked with Ririka and Rika about his situation, his quest and his past. He told them about his memories of his previous world and his desire to return home.

Suddenly, the tavern door opened and Helmeppo appeared with his wild dog. Helmeppo was a blond-haired man, dressed in a violet uniform, holding a gun. He had a wild dog at his side, and the animal was growling, its eyes locked on Rika.

"What are you doing here, Helmeppo?" Ririka asked, her voice filled with anger.

Helmeppo sneered, "I heard that there is a stranger in town, and I wanted to see who it is. And it seems that he is a wanted criminal."

Naruto knew that he had to act fast, he stood up and faced Helmeppo. "I'm not a criminal, I'm just a traveler who is looking for answers."

Helmeppo laughed, a cruel sound that sent shivers down Naruto's spine. "I don't care about your reasons, you will be arrested and executed for trespassing in Shells Town."

Naruto knew that he had to escape, he had to stop Helmeppo and his father from hurting innocent people. He quickly activated his chakra, forming a Rasengan in his hand. "I won't stand idly by while you harm the innocent," Naruto said, his voice filled with determination.

Helmeppo sneered, "You're a fool, you have no idea who you're dealing with."

Without hesitation, Naruto launched the Rasengan at Helmeppo, who narrowly dodged it. Helmeppo's dog lunged at Naruto, but he quickly dispatched it with a swift kick. Helmeppo, furious, pulled out his gun and aimed it at Naruto.

"You're going to pay for that," Helmeppo said, his voice filled with anger.

But Naruto was too fast for him, he quickly closed the distance between them and delivered a powerful punch to Helmeppo's face, knocking him unconscious.

"We have to get out of here," Naruto said, turning to Ririka and Rika.

Rika interrupted him by saying "Helmeppo's father, Captain Morgan, is a tyrant and he will come after us."

Ririka nodded, "We'll help you, we can't let him harm innocent people."

The three of them quickly made their escape, leaving Shells Town and Helmeppo behind. As they traversed the snowy landscape, Naruto knew that his journey had only just begun.
