Chapter 4: [Arc I: Prologue] Chapter 4

Approximately, after 10 minutes Naruto arrived at the trading ground, huffing and puffing as he wheezed a few breathes into his lungs.

"Oh hey Naruto, You are 10 minutes quick today." Iruka said looking down on the watch as a blur past Naruto.

The blonde reacted fast grabbing a kunai as he blocked the assault. It was a silver haired man with a head band covering his left eye and a mask covering his entire mouth and nose area.

The attacker went ahead and sweeped Naruto as the blonde went ahead and did a hand seal. A clone popped out, being immediately destroyed by the onslaught of taijutsu attacks.

Naruto stepped back as a bruise appeared on his cheek. Iruka clapped as the attacker stopped the onslaught and stood up straight with his visible eye curving to form a smile.

'What the hell, this guy attacks me and smiles, what a weird guy.'' Naruto thought as Iruka came ahead. "Naruto this is Kakashi hatake, an elite jounin. He wanted to test you, I hope that explains it." Iruka said as Kakashi said. "You were better than expected, I heard from the hokage about you but wanted to test you and pass on a few things." he finished as Naruto looked neutrally.

"Oh, but why do suddenly?" Naruto asked as Kakashi didn't reply for a few seconds. "Surprise test? I head you knew the shadow clone jutsu very well." Naruto nodded.

"That jutsu is a cheat if you know how to use it." Kakashi said as he started to explain, It seemed Iruka was oblivious to the fact. "The shadow clone jutsu is a jutsu made by the second hokage for intel gathering purposes. When dispelled it gives it's memories to the user." Naruto looked shocked as Kakashi conducted an experiment where he took Naruto's clone and stabbed him in he head.

"Wait, Why did you stab me?" Naruto asked seemingly out of the random. "That's the trick of the shadow clones, of course only chakra and memory related things can be learnt. Physical exercises do not transfer." Kakashi explained.

"Then Naruto can cut his training time by using hundreds of shadow clones." Iruka said with thoughtfulness as Naruto looked gleamfull.

"Yes but shadow clones put a lot of strain on the mind. I recommend not making more than a hundred clones at his current age." Kakashi said. "Oh man this is going to be awesome." Naruto said happily as he jumped around in excitement.

"Thanks Kakashi." Iruka said with a small bow as Kakashi replied "No problem." He flickered away, pulling an orange book while doing so.
