Chapter 9: Chapter 9: Just an Excuse?

Tsunade's smile blurred for a moment before recovering. She smiled and said, "Fine, but this time we're going to a bigger bathroom."

Hearing this counter-proposal of hers, Nawaki nonchalantly agreed: "Okay, but, well, can you get me a change of clothes then?"

Both his hands and his body were dirty, he could only count on her if they were going to the biggest bathroom in the complex.

Seeing his cute smile, Tsunade felt like hugging him. In the end, she held back, not wanting to scare him too much.

"Nawaki, good morning." A gentle voice, Mikoto was the first to greet him.

Although barely noticeable, Nawaki noticed something else behind that gentle smile.

Returning to her place next to a girl from the Hyuuga Clan.

"I know…" Her voice grew lower and more despondent.

Mikoto shook her head again.

"Silence!" Sensei said loudly, tapping the folder on the table: "Let's go outside, the first class will be a practical class."

When they arrived at the training yard, one boy stood out. "Sensei, I want to challenge Nawaki Senju!"

"Mmm?" Nawaki looked at the boy who stood out in surprise.

"Isao Uchiha, be more disciplined!" Sensei was irritated by his behavior.

"Tsk, this is unfair!" Isao Uchiha said, full of dissatisfaction, "If it were Nawaki who did the same, I bet you wouldn't say that!"

"Isao Uchiha!" Sensei was irritated.

Nawaki stood out: "Sensei, I accept his challenge."

It would be better if this ended soon, he didn't know what he did to piss off Isao Uchiha, but no matter, he wasn't afraid of him just for being an Uchiha.

"Senju-sama, are you sure?" Seeing Nawaki nod, he didn't smile, but became calmer: "Since Senju-sama accepted, I'll let it go this time."

"I knew it." Isao Uchiha despised the sensei's attitude.

After standing on the opposite side of each other, sensei said, "You must know by now, but I'll say it again. Only taijutsu and wooden tools are allowed. Anything else, the duel will be stopped immediately!"

"Yea!" Isao Uchiha yelled. He might not have confidence if it was anything else, but when it came to taijutsu, he was confident of winning.

"Begin!"

"You go-"

Isao Uchiha's words were interrupted when he didn't even know how and when Nawaki was able to appear in front of him and with a simple flick of his big shiny forehead sent him flying backwards.

"Ahhh!" Isao Uchiha screamed in pain.

His body fell with a loud "thud" to the ground.

His clothes became dusty as his body was dragged on the sandy floor while he was sent away.

Totally disbelieving looks were cast in Nawaki's direction, then at Isao Uchiha and again at Nawaki.

"Nawaki! Too amazing!" The silence was broken when the first person screamed.

Applause echoed.

They were all euphoric, they couldn't even follow Nawaki's movements, all they were able to notice was Isao Uchiha being sent away and that's when they noticed Nawaki's presence in the place that Isao Uchiha was supposed to be.

'Damn, I used too much force...' Nawaki looked at his index finger, and sighed. He had reduced his strength, but he was still too strong.

Just seeing Isao Uchiha's lost manner, as if he'd been kicked by a donkey, Nawaki knew he'd exaggerated a bit. Just a little...

Well, it's not entirely his fault, he had no way of knowing it would be this strong.

A certain spiky-haired blond boy was silently looking at Nawaki as his hands clenched tightly into fists.

The sensei came out of his stupor, and announced, "The winner is Nawaki Senju-sama!"

Another round of applause echoed. Some girls screamed his name in euphoria.

Nawaki was calm. Although not used to this kind of attention, it wasn't a bad feeling, but it didn't go so far as to convince him.

Going to Shikaku Nara, Nawaki exchanged a few words with him as other duels began.

What about Isao Uchiha? He was disoriented for the next few hours. He was still stunned and didn't even respond when someone tried to talk to him.
