(A few hours later, at Tazuna’s house close to nightfall)

Hey Rita, where have you been all day?(N)

I was out gathering information.  Where’s Kakashi-sensei?(R)

(Inside the house)

I have returned with information.(R)

Okay.  What have you gathered?(K)

We have at least 100 civilian-level mercenaries, another missing-nin, Zabuza, that Hunter-nin, and the moneybag by the name of Gato.(R)

How do you know this?(K)

I saw the missing-nin from the woods, had a chat with the hunter-nin, and noticed around 100 others wandering around carrying weapons.  They were all civilians in good shape, and none of them could use chakra.  This should be an okay fight.(R)

Grandpa, why are these people here?  They can’t beat Gato anyway.  They’re just going to die.(?)

Inari!(T)

What?  I’m not wrong.(I)

Gato.  You mean that short, fat, powerless moneybag?  Nah.  He’s a civilian.  Even Sakura could kill him in combat, and she really can’t fight.(R)

Gato has been terrorizing this town for decades.  He’s never lost, and the last person to defy him was publicly killed!(I)

Well listen kid, a civilian is only a threat to another civilian.  They can never be a threat to a shinobi, even if they are just a genin!  Shinobi rule the world, kid.  They have the power.  If I wasn’t suspicious that he had hired more S-rank shinobi, and had them protecting him, I would have killed him when I saw him while I was out gathering information.(R)

*At this, Inari ran up to his room crying.*

Don’t go up there.  You’ll most likely just make it worse.  He’ll be fine, I only shattered his worldview, and made him start to heal from the psychological damage Gato undoubtedly caused him.(R)

*She then whispers, “He shouldn’t have to go through what I did.” just loud enough for Tazuna and his wife to hear what she said clearly in the silence.*

(A few days later, at the unfinished bridge, sometime around 10:00)

Why were you holding that rabbit in your mouth?(N)

I don’t have hands to hold it with dumbass, and if I want to merely kill it instead of blow it into a thousand tiny chunks, I have to kill it with my teeth and claws.  How have you forgotten the fact that I know a total of 1 ninjutsu, and that one doesn’t even require hand seals.(R)

Because I’m useful to the Hokage, and he decided that it would be better to have a smaller headache now by making me a genin straight away and putting me under Kakashi rather than have a massive headache later when I do actually learn the basic academy jutsu and he has to have someone else, who would likely be a worse teacher, have me as their genin.(R)

Enemies approaching from the woods to the east.(Rita and Kakashi)

Chakra signatures feel like Zabuza and that Hunter-nin.(R)

Sakura and Naruto are defending Tazuna’s house.  Rita, go retrieve Naruto.  Sasuke, you’ve got the Hunter-nin.  I’ll deal with Zabuza.(K)

Trying to push him to gain another tomoe in his Sharingan?  Alright.  I’ll be back with Naruto.  When I get back, I will assist Kakashi and Naruto will assist Sasuke.(R)

AUTHOR NOTE:  Hello everyone!  Sorry for the recent silence with no releases, school has been punching me in the gut recently.  And I am sorry about not releasing my newest webnovel, but I have decided to wait before I release it.  Also, I will now be posting on RoyalRoad as well!

Here’s a bit of canon for my story that semi-explains why Rita can use a normal rasengan: She learned how to manipulate the chakra of the fox she is sealed in.  It has a very large chakra pool for some reason.  {Uzumaki mating with a fox long ago, leading to high-chakra foxes?  Maybe?  What’s your theory?  Tell me in the comments below.}  Also, for those of you wondering, there will not be a harem in this story, as I wouldn’t have the first clue as to how to properly write about a harem, and who would even have the harem in the first place?  Naruto doesn’t have the brains for it, Sasuke will eventually sell “Uchiha Semen” to Konoha citizens to make money(But still won’t have a Harem), so why would I have someone have a Harem?  Heck, what Sasuke will eventually be doing will be considered illegal to anyone who isn’t from a nearly-extinct clan.  And here’s a sneak peak to convince you to continue reading my webnovel: They will find a small group of some other clans who escaped being killed and their clans were thought extinct, bringing back several clans.(Found by Hokage-Naruto)  And the biggest mistake Rita will have made and will make for at least another 20 chapters will happen in the next chapter.  She will lose something.  Put what you think she will lose in the comments below please!  If you get it right before I release the chapter you will get a shoutout in the author note at the end of the next chapter!
