"How about you change your perspective, Mrs. Rhine. Think about it.. I am sure there might be some backlash from the church or a few followers if you decide to back up a slave. But.." Madelyn was extremely close to the Saintess, almost whispering in her ear.

"Think of it over a period of a year. You must have known about the talent of the kid. Let's suppose he turns into a magnificent mage, it won't take the voices of criticism to be transformed into veneration."

"The church helped a young slave emerge out of his cocoon. You think there can be a better headline for your institution?" Madelyn smiled confident, having built up a compelling case.

"You did well in selling him, I must say. But do you take me as a nine-year-old, Mrs. Madelyn?" Rhine sighed exaggeratedly. "What value does a nascent talent holds in this world? There is no shortage of promising kids like that. No one can be sure about their future."

"There is no gamble without its own set of risks, Saintess. But I must tell you that we got plans for him hehe.. Why don't you come with me, I will show you something that might help you make up your mind." Saying that Madelyn threw the windows open and launched herself outside into the shy.

Hovering mid-air, she waited for the Saintess to follow suit. Once together, she proceeded to travel a few miles in the air before landing in a giant open field.

The first thing Rhine noticed was the massive wall and a black spear stuck onto it securely. "This was a recent development, it might have skipped your attention." Madelyn climbed the stairs and stood next to the weapon stuck to the wall.

"Let me tell you.. someone tried to free this thing and he left marks." Rhine noticed Madelyn's fingers trace the crack marks that seem relatively new. "Obviously we don't know who the kid was. But who knows.. he might be rather close to us hahaha.."

Rhine stood in her place stunned. This new revelation had truly changed the equation. This was an ancient relic they were talking about, the personal weapon of the first principal who established this academy and simultaneously laid the foundation of this human country as well.

This spear was part of his legacy. Anyone who can command it was going to shoot through the skies in terms of power and rank.

Anyone can see through Madelyn's lies. She definitely had discovered the culprit who tried to free the spear and in all possibilities, it was the boy who had been the topic of their argument.

"To think that a mere slave with no bloodline to speak off can do this." Rhine remarked, herself walking close to the black spear. "Hehe.. he fell short this time. But we have to keep in mind he got no cultivation to speak off at this point. He is like an unrefined ore."

Rhine was at a loss. This was an extremely curious case. She can't just walk away after this. "One thing I forgot to tell you. Apparently, the boy did emerge from one of the orphanages directly under the jurisdiction of the Church of Eden."

"Cough.. cough.. You should have told me earlier." Rhine was quite ashamed of having to eat her words back. But that is nothing, her skin was way thicker than that.

The orphanage will give the church a direct link with the boy. There is no way she can back off from this deal now. Rather, she will have to get this boy under the church's fold.

"I guess we got a deal then?" Madelyn extended her hands with a stupendous smile on her face. Although she was disgusted by these religious maniacs, there was no denying the fact that they held a lot of sway among the common populace.

"Absolutely." Rhine shook the hand offered to her. Her case was not very different than Madelyn's. Being repulsed by this crass woman, she had to agree to work with her for the greater good of the church.

*BZZZZZTT* *BZZZZTT* Both ladies were still shaking hands to seal the deal when sirens began blaring through the entire premises of the academy, shocking them. "What is happening?" Rhine questioned and saw Madelyn narrow her eyes. "Forced entry."

***

Aron was asleep when he felt a cold touch on his face. He rubbed his face only for the sensation to return again. This happened until the boy was too annoyed to continue with his beauty sleep.

Irritated, the boy was forced to open his eyes only for the scene opposite him to frighten him to the core. "Ishhh!" Before he could scream for help, a finger to his lips forced him back down in his bed.

"Did I scare you, my kid?" An erotic voice addressed him, throwing his body in disarray. Aron can only blink his way out. "You want to say something?" Aron nodded. "Okay, but do you promise to not scream?"

The boy blinked and the voluptuous woman sitting in his bed removed the finger bearing down on him. "AAAAA... ughhhggghh!!" Suddenly the kid screamed for help only for the lady to shove him back down in his pillow, leading to his voice getting all muffled.

"Are you done playing around, kiddo? Or did you forget who I am?" The lady intentionally let her eyes leak a bloody red light, obviously done to warn the boy from attempting anything stupid.

Her actions seem to finally neutralize the kid into obedience. "Good boy." Lucy gently dragged her hand away from his face.

Aron got up to sit up, finding himself closer to the vampire than he would like. "Why.. why.. are you here?" He asked, not forgetting how he suffered at the hands of this vagabond vampire.

"Hehe.. what do you think?" Lucy brought her head in proximity to the boy, their lips almost touching. "It can't be for me?" Aron speculated, hoping to be wrong.

"You guessed it. I am here for you, my boy.. especially.." Lucy brought her head next to his, whispering directly in his ears. "For your blood." Her words made a shiver run across the human boy's skin.

This was it. He was going to die now. There was no point even trying to confront this woman, she was way out of his league. "Ahem.. madam.. ah.. actually.. I don't want to die.. just yet. Can't we come to an agreement of some sort?"

Aron utilized all of the courage in his heart and then some. This was the bravest he had ever been. But that was not inconceivable. Everyone has to be brave in the face of death, there was no other choice.

Lucy noticed the crumbling face of the boy, desperation wrote all over it. "Pffttt.. hahahaha.. What's with this expression brat? You think I am so cruel as to kill an innocent child?"

This was probably the best time to remind the lady about her own words spoken on the day of their first 'fated' meeting. Aron would have loved reiterating her threatening words back to her, but he was better off dealing with things with diplomacy here.

"I just need some blood, that's all. Not anything different from last time." Lucy said that and began unbuttoning her dress with a seductive smile that could melt any man's heart in an instant.

Though not immune to her charms, the pure adrenaline rush kept him from falling head over heels for the disastrously beautiful woman. He can only gulp when she pulled apart her threads, revealing her frilled bra.

"Naughty kid..!!" Lucy slapped him on the back. "Who lewds their mother like this? Where are your manners?" Mother? Aron was left scratching his head at this new relationship he never knew existed between him, a human, and Lucy, a vampire.

"Anyhow.. look at this." Lucy shifted in the bed to reveal the other side of her abdomen. "Mommy got shot." Lucy had already personified herself as the bonafide parent of the kid.

Every progenitor was like a parent to the vampires. As such, this motherly attitude came naturally to Lucy because of her bloodline.

Aron was not expecting this. There was certainly a wound on her. Did someone wound a powerhouse like her? What in the world she was fighting against? There were multiple questions in his mind, however, he might not get all the answers.

"You need my blood to help you heal?" He questioned. Lucy put on a destitute expression, nodding her head. "Indeed." "Then do you promise not to take much?" His words surprised Lucy. Did he just agree to give her his blood, simply because she showed him her injury?

She had only been putting on an act for her own amusement. When had the vampires ever cared for a human's approval to take his or her blood? It was as stupid as asking for a wolf to care for the sheep's approval before preying on it.

Aron was unaware of Lucy's mental state and hence deduced that the woman was mad at him because of her wide eyes. "Ahh.. please don't take too much.. I get all dizzy and weak.. also.. it hurts like hell."

Although he was in a position of weakness, so his words didn't matter much in the precarious situation he was in. Yet, even if the roles were switched, he would have still chosen to help out this woman. That's who Aron was at his core, unable to see others suffer when it's in his accord to help them.

"You really want to let me drink from you?" Lucy confirmed, still in the state of denial. "Haha.. do I have a choice?" Aron laughed in self-derision, making the pureblood grin at him. "You don't." The boy shrugged his shoulders.

Lucy kept staring at the kid for a while, suddenly finding him rather attractive. "You know.. With your looks, you will make one hell of a vampire hahaha.. girls will be falling left right, and center for you." Saying that she grabbed his arm and pulled his sleeves up.

Aron gulped and looked away when he saw two fangs grow out of Lucy's mouth as she proceeded to bite down on his forearm. Even though he was ready for it, the dizziness hit him hard, almost knocking him unconscious. He clenched his jaws and persevered.

For the first time in her life, Lucy felt no joy in draining a human of his blood. Even as a vampire, she tries not to harm innocent humans mostly preying on the nasty ones.

What's more, there was now a bond existing between Aron and herself. He was like a child to her.. she made him in a way. Despite the tremendous vitality of his blood, she didn't find it appetizing like the last time.

The tenacious wound caused by the extremely powerful divine magic had refused to heal up even with the medical expertise of the elf girl. All they could do was seal it up and wait for her body to slowly deal with the magic on its own.

And yet, at the moment Lucy can feel movement around the gunshot. Her muscles were regaining life as they joined and got rid of the filthy divine magic infecting her.

Remembering not to lose herself and drain the boy completely, she forcefully stopped herself, going against her instinct. "Hahaha.. you are something else brat haha.. hn?"

Aron could barely hold himself intact. It was like there was a mountain placed on top of him. His eyelids drooped as his head spun and he fell in Lucy's embrace.

The pureblood caught him and slowly let him rest in her lap. Her pale hand swept his hair off his face, caressing his forehead. "How sweet..!" Lucy fell in thought for a second. "Does mother feels the same for me?"

She didn't know what came to her mind but she wanted to try a certain thing. Unhooking her bra, she let her hefty breasts drop under their own weight. Holding her nipple, she gently tugged on Aron's chin and shoved it between his lips.
