Chu MuYun thought about it and realized that Ling Xuan really must know something about it.

Ling Mu’s background was something that he could use to his advantage when it came to the mission. So after thinking about it, Chu MuYun decided to try to get some information out of Ling Xuan.

“I’ve forgotten everything.”

Ling Xuan was slightly startled: “Forgotten?”

Chu MuYun nodded calmly: “When I woke up, my mind was blank.”

Ling Xuan smiled and said something extremely similar to Ye JianHan. His words were: “So the deep love you had, turned out to be nothing really.”

Chu MuYun frowned slightly and a strange feeling flashed across his heart but the feeling was too elusive and not easy to capture.

Knitting his eyebrows, Ling Xuan said, “Even though you forgot everything you’re still such a block of wood. No wonder people call you boring.”

Chu MuYun: “…” So Ling Mu’s real personality was like this? What a coincidence, or is it really?

Chu MuYun’s outward expression remained unchanged and he said, “Can you tell me what happened?”

Ling Xuan stared at him. Then he suddenly raised his lips and smirked: “It’s better to forget.”

Chu MuYun’s eyes flashed with impatience. When he opened his mouth again, his voice became colder again: “Were you the one who gave me amnesia?”

“This is really wronging me.” Ling Xuan moved closer. Because he was so tall, the action gave off a sense of oppression.

Chu MuYun was uncomfortable and wanted to distance himself but Ling Xuan’s next words made him freeze: “I just killed you, that’s all.”

Chu MuYun suddenly raised his head.

The two looked at each other and he saw Ling Xuan’s raised eyebrows were both wicked and arrogant.

Chu MuYun couldn’t see his true emotions in his eyes. He simply frowned and withdrew his gaze: “I’m not dead.”

“You definitely died.” Ling Xuan’s voice was firm.

Chu MuYun frowned, “Then how could I be standing in front of you?”

Ling Xuan continued to stare at him, as though he wanted to pierce through him with his eyes.

From the first time Chu MuYun saw Ling Xuan, he felt that the other person was constantly looking at him as if he wanted to see inside him, but what was it that he was looking to find?

At this moment, Ling Xuan gave him the answer: “… you’re a counterfeit.”

Was that it? Chu MuYun smiled in his heart.

Of course his outward expression was still cold. If anyone heard someone call them a counterfeit, there’s no way they’d be happy. Chu MuYun stepped back and increased the distance between the two of them: “If you really think so then there is nothing more to discuss.”

Ling Xuan suddenly reached out and grabbed his hand.

Chu MuYun was really surprised. Not Ling Mu was surprised, but he, Chu MuYun, was actually surprised.

There was something wrong with this little wolf dog. If it weren’t for the fact that he knew that this guy had no inkling about romance or love three thousand years later, he would like to take this opportunity to tease him.

Obviously the Ling Xuan at this time had the potential to be romanced…

Chu MuYun’s mind moved slightly but Ling Xuan had already spoken: “Right now I think… you might really be Ling Mu.”

Chu MuYun thought about it and after a while, decided to let him go for now. “It doesn’t matter. Right now I don’t care who I used to be.”

Ling Xuan threw a proverbial hook at him: “You don’t want to know… who the person is who makes your heart shake and tremble, the person who you miss so much you won’t forget, is?”

Chu MuYun was startled by the words.

Ling Xuan blinked at him: “I’ll take you to see him.”

Chu MuYun paled suddenly. He lowered his eyes and shook his head: “No.”

He turned to leave but Ling Xuan refused to let go. He said: “Without you, Ling SuYun’s life has become very difficult, aren’t you worried about him?”

Chu MuYun said, “I don’t remember who he is.”

Ling Xuan: “Then why did you come to see me?”

Chu MuYun:”……”

Ling Xuan smiled: “Okay, I’ll take you to see him.”

Chu MuYun vaguely knew why Ling Xuan insisted on making him meet Ling SuYun.

He probably wanted to make a final confirmation to see if he was Ling Mu.

And the definite standard… was probably his reaction after meeting Ling SuYun.

Although it was a waste of time, in order to get the information he wanted, it was better to go check it out ba.

But before that, Chu MuYun stared at him: “How do I know I can trust you?”

Ling Xuan raised his eyebrows.

Chu MuYun said again: “Why did you want to kill me?”

When he heard this, Ling Xuan smiled. He bared his white teeth like a big bad wolf with his tail showing. “I very much regret killing you but fortunately you are still alive.”

Others probably didn’t understand this but Chu MuYun approximately did. It seemed that it wasn’t a duel to the death.

Ling Xuan said, “Let’s go and see Ling SuYun, then maybe you’ll remember everything.”

Chu MuYun was pretty sure that he wouldn’t remember a thing but with so much information dangling on the hook, it wouldn’t be too hard to act a bit ambiguous.

They headed towards the LingYun Sect without any delay.

After the Broken Wall War, the power within the yao world had undergone a major shift. The LingYun Sect emerged suddenly onto the stage. In less than a thousand years, it had become quite prestigious. Its masters were like clouds and the entire school system was well organized. It seemed to be one of the giants of the yao world.

Who was responsible for this?

Outsiders thought it was LingYun Sect’s former Sect Master but in fact, the senior leaders of the LingYun Sect knew who had really made all these achievements.

—Ling Mu.

The true pride of heaven.

However, he died in the end. He died during the most glorious time, in that most embarrassing fashion.

There were many people who missed him in this world and all the people who held positions of power in the LingYun Sect were now immersed in feelings of annoyance, unwillingness and regret.

If they could, they really wished that time could flow backwards and that Ling Mu could stand with the LingYun Sect forever.

Because as long as he was there, the LingYun Sect would never fall.

When it came to the powerful people in LingYun Sect, the person who felt the most unwillingness was Ling SuYun.

At first he was happy that he had finally gotten rid of Ling Mu. Only to discover that when this person was really no longer by his side that…. everything was messed up.

All the things that previously ran smoothly became difficult and all the different factions and departments turned into a huge mess.

People’s hearts became chaotic and the LingYun Sect that once reached the peak of the world was now declining at a speed that can be seen with the naked eye. It was like a flower in full bloom encountering a cold winter. The cold wind and the icy snow fell upon the delicate and blooming flower. It had no shelter and quickly was beaten into a panic.

On the day when he received news of Ling Mu’s death, Ling SuYun felt as though he had gotten a new lease on life.

But right now he only wished that that man would come back. He wished he could turn back time and bring the dead back to life.

Therefore when Ling SuYun saw Ling Mu again, he didn’t hide the surprise and joy in his eyes.

“Ah-Mu!” Ling SuYun exclaimed.

Chu MuYun stared at him blankly and a trace of deep pain flashed through his eyes which  previously never fluctuated. Because of this depression, his face was frosty and his hands were tight. His knuckles bulged and blue veins showed on his forehead.

Ling Xuan watched and the rare downward tilt of those naturally raised eyes made a trace of darkness appear in his own eyes.

And right at this moment, something suddenly happened. Ling Xuan reacted extremely quickly but the person who came was faster than him.

They saw a beam of light piercing the night sky and rushing straight towards Ling SuYun. Under everyone’s shocked gaze, a fierce power pierced his chest and a large gush of blood rushed out… Even at the point of death, Ling SuYun had no idea who killed him.
